I love being a dentist. Over the past 25 years, I have had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people. It has always been my focus to make each patient feel at home when they come to me for treatment, and I work hard to give my patients the attention they deserve.

My education in dentistry has provided me with a strong foundation of knowledge and experience. I graduated from Boston College in 1989 with my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. I continued my education at Tufts University school of Dental Medicine where I obtained my Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 1993.

By regularly participating in continuing education, I am aware of the latest technology and dental treatments. My patients deserve the best, and continuing education allows me to provide my patients with more options and better results.

I am also a member of several professional associations that provide me with opportunities for continuing education, including the American Implant Dental Association, American Dental Association, Middlesex District Dental Society, and Eastern Massachusetts Dental Study Group.

I am truly blessed to live and work in such a wonderful community. I enjoy getting to know my patients and their families, and it is such an honor to know that I have made a difference in so many of my patients lives. I couldn't ask for a better job or for better people sharing their smiles with me. I look forward to working with you.

Our administrative team is extensively trained to handle all administrative aspects of your dental treatment. They work closely with Dr. Scali to design the treatment plan that meets all your dental needs. Our team will develop a financial plan that works for you and will deal directly with your insurance company to file all the necessary insurance claims on your behalf.

i am a senior citizen - and have been to many dentists over the years; for the last several years, Dr Scali is my dentist. He is the best dentist ever. I have had fillings as well as Root Canals. He is better than any of my other dentists. Thank you GOD for Dr. Sali 09/2/21

EXPECT TO BE CHARGED FOR WHAT YOU AS A PATIENT MIGHT NOT KNOW NOR ARE GIVEN CLARITY TO UNDERSTAND UNTIL AFTER YOU'RE BEING BILLED. MAKE SURE you know THERE IS DIFFERENCE between a dentist who performs root canals & a root canal specialist, aka an endodontist!!! I saw a dentist a week ago who said I would need to see a root canal specialist & that I didn't have an infection. In pain still I called a dental office who shared they would do a full exam etc & determine the best route of care. This 2nd dentist said I needed to see a root canal specialist sooner than later & theirs was fully booked for two weeks. I googled endodontist and my zip code and started calling down the list to find the first avail appointment to which this office Scali Dental Associates receptionist shares he can do a root canal for you tonight - I'm in seeming relief ... I share with him I'd seen a dentist in Cambridge a week prior whose x rays didn't show any sign of infection and given the pain still extreme between pain relievers that I'd gone earlier that day to another dentist in Watertown who said you need to get a root canal sooner than later - our root canal specialist is fully booked for two weeks but here is an rx for antibiotics to start on for the pain etc..... I said to Dr. Scali, I noticed a small lump near where my tonsils were and figure it were an abcess coming from the tooth somehow etc... at the end of over an hour long appt he says you need to see a specialist and I'm dumbfounded - a specialist? What the heck are you then?? He shares "I'm a dentist not an endodontist" and I'm totally confused - I thought I was seeing someone who does root canals I told the lady when I called etc - He replies "she should never have claimed I'm an endodontist" NOT "oh gosh - there are dentists who perform root canals but that are NOT endodontists. Endodontists are specialists having deeper specific knowledge etc" and proceeds to have his staff charge me $129 for literally the same scenario I'd had at 2pm earlier that day! He calls to follow up the next day as the night prior I'd shared I had made an 8am appointment for today to the same business entity he'd recommended in the event I didn't get to see someone sooner. I shared I'd mixed up the so many businesses I'd called as the one he mentioned I did in fact have an 8am appointment but that it was for another day out from now & that the 7:45am written in my planner was to call a different local endodontist to check availability to which the receptionist said he'd call me back around 10am if they had availability. I said I feel not just disappointed but angry I suppose for lack of a better in being charged for seeing a dentist who does root canals apparently but isn't a specialist and while his staff nor he claimed otherwise how would I know there was a person who did 'part of the specialty' just not all of it?? I shouldn't have been charged. Especially strange that he himself didn't clarify further in sharing there's a discrepancy given I'd already seen a dentist and had x rays and an exam only a few hours prior etc.. He simply says let's focus on your pain & getting your endodontist appointment... I'm definitely upset & still in need of seeing an endodontist. His own analogy backfired - he said you know you see a primary care and they refer you to a specialist etc... I say exactly! I saw 2 primary care doctors already who referred me to a specialist someone who handles root canals - so you handle root canals I wouldn't have assumed there were primary root canal doctors too who then refer you onto root canal specialists - I never go to a primary care who also happens to be a heart surgeon but only does part of the heart surgery in a general kinda way not a specialty way.... It's really disappointing to say the least - I can only imagine the other hidden facts that reveal themselves through the charges from this business.

Dr. Scali has been my dentist for years now. I used to get a lot of cavities, and it had been a long time since I had gone to the dentist when I began to visit Dr. Scali's office. Needless to say, there was a lot of work to be done, including a root canal, which Dr. Scali did great (not sure what that other review is about -- tl;dr), and then fixed some old fillings I had and addressed some new cavities. Now my mouth is in much better shape, my cleanings are easy, and I haven't had a cavity in multiple visits. I like the staff and recommend this dentist.
