What was supposed to be a temporary job answering phones, dealing with insurance, and filing charts quickly turned into something that truly interested her. Gunjan soon realized this is where she wanted to be.
To this day, she still cherishes what originally drew her to dentistry; meeting and treating patients like they are an extension of their family. The people aspect of this business never gets old and its something she appreciates every single day.
Dr. Gunjan Kella is midwestern-bred, with a bit of New York edge, and a laid back Californian at heart. She graduated from University of Michigan with a degree in Biopsychology and Cognitive Sciences and then continued there for 4 more yearsobtaining a DDS in 2007. She and her college sweetheart (now husband) then moved to New York City to pursue her residency. There, she continued her advanced training while serving patients in Manhattan for over 10 years.
Throughout her 14 years of professional experience as a dentist, Dr. Kella has treated hundreds of patients with their restorative needs and gum health. For her, dentistry is more than just treating teethits about holistic patient-centered care and support.
Dr. Kella was a clinical lecturer at UCLA and considers herself a lifelong student. She keeps up with the latest developments in the field so that she can incorporate these practices and technologies into her own treatment plans. She recently completed advanced training in Implant Dentistry with Implant Pathways Institute.
