What was supposed to be a temporary job answering phones, dealing with insurance, and filing charts quickly turned into something that truly interested her. Gunjan soon realized this is where she wanted to be.
To this day, she still cherishes what originally drew her to dentistry; meeting and treating patients like they are an extension of their family. The people aspect of this business never gets old and its something she appreciates every single day.
Dr. Gunjan Kella is midwestern-bred, with a bit of New York edge, and a laid back Californian at heart. She graduated from University of Michigan with a degree in Biopsychology and Cognitive Sciences and then continued there for 4 more yearsobtaining a DDS in 2007. She and her college sweetheart (now husband) then moved to New York City to pursue her residency. There, she continued her advanced training while serving patients in Manhattan for over 10 years.
Throughout her 14 years of professional experience as a dentist, Dr. Kella has treated hundreds of patients with their restorative needs and gum health. For her, dentistry is more than just treating teethits about holistic patient-centered care and support.
Dr. Kella was a clinical lecturer at UCLA and considers herself a lifelong student. She keeps up with the latest developments in the field so that she can incorporate these practices and technologies into her own treatment plans. She recently completed advanced training in Implant Dentistry with Implant Pathways Institute.

I normally don't write reviews but I felt compelled to write this one after my latest experience at Sayva Dental. I normally HATE going to the dentist, but Dr. Kella was such a breath of fresh air because she went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable. Dr. Kella was professional, polite and hilarious. I now look forward to dental cleanings because of the warm atmosphere and kind staff at this office.

I would recommend this place as a Go. The place is nice and staffs are great . Dr Kella did my Root canal and deep cleaning and had a quick recovery. All my extended family also visit and no concern or issues .

Between Xmas to New Year 2022, I felt a weird dull pain in my upper tooth. I called Sayva Dental and went to see Dr. Kella the same day so she could examine the cause of the pain. She keenly identified that a root canal was required and was able to refer me to a reputable endodontist. Subsequently, I went back to her practice for further dental work from putting on the crown all the way to regular cleanings. My personal experience with the practice is that the dental assistants/hygienists and Dr. Kella are amazing, professional, prompt, and very thorough. As a new patient to her practice, I felt very welcome. The office is very responsive and uses technology to its advantage. I would recommend her practice to anyone needing dental care!!!

I'm 67, have sat in a lot of dentist's chairs in a lot of places, Dr. Kella is the most excellent dentist of them all. Her dentistry is a combination of amazing dexterous skill, artistry, sensitivity and empathy. She is a healer. Her staff are welcoming, great at their jobs and it is easy to see they love being there and working with Dr. Kella. This is a special place.

By far the most comprehensive care I have ever received from any dentist. It takes a special dentist and team to provide this level of care. From start to finish I was involved in the decision making process. I never had a dentist share xray images with me; I actually viewed problem areas and completed work. I have a new crown, I can chew and I feel whole again.

Dr. Kella & the Sayva Dental team are professional, organized and took great care of me. I required some complicated dental work and Dr. Kella took the time to carefully explain all options and procedures and did a great job on my teeth. They are easy to communicate with and took thoughtful care of me as a patient. I had a very good experience.

Dr. Kella is fantastic! I went to her for my first time in the later half of 2021 and she recognized that I had an infection on one tooth. She sent me for a root canal and I returned to her for two fillings and a crown. I can't thank Dr. Kella enough!

From the very first visit at this office, i was made to feel Welcomed and comfortable both by the friendly competence of the staff and the pleasant environment of the office itself. Dr.Kella is amazing she if the first dentist who paused to ask me if anything hurt and it was the first time i had pain free dental cleaning she took a lot of time to make me feel comfortable she took the time to explain the procedure clearly and did not pressure me at all. But the most important thing of my visit is how Michelle Dr.Kella's assistant went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable taking a full series of xrays which i hate, not only are they super painful but i have a really bad gagging problem. But let me tell you this girl did everything in her power to make me feel comfortable and feel no pain at all. This has been the first time ive ever in my life that i took xrays and did not gag or feel ANY PAIN. Best dental experience ive ever had looking forward to my next visit. Dr.Kella your very lucky to have such a happy and knowledgeable staff. Thank you to you all at Sayva Dental. Highly recommend this office you wont regret it.

My dentist of 30 years recently retired and I started seeing Dr. Kella. I was dreading the thought of a new dentist because my former one knew how afraid and uncomfortable the experience was, every time I went. HOWEVER,, I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Kella. She is kind, compassionate, accommodating, empathetic, and most of all, a fantastic dentist. I had many problems with my teeth and needed several crowns. As a result of her work, my teeth have never looked better. My smile is vastly improved and gorgeous (if I must say so myself:) and my self-confidence has improved noticeably. People comrnent on the change in how I look and feel right away, but can't put their finger on why. This is exactly what I wanted. Nobody looks at me and says, "Did you do something to your teeth)? They look completely natural and amazing. Dr Kella spent a considerable amount of time with me recommending the color, refining the fit, and appearance. I can't recommend her highly enough. The staff is equally wonderful and helpful P.S. No longer afraid to go to the dentist!

Hands down, the BEST dental practice in LA! Dr. Kella and her staff are professional, kind, and honest! I'm grateful to have found Sayva Dental and highly recommend it! Dr. Kella and her staff took the time to educate me on their treatment recommendations and answered all my questions. They worked with my insurance - which was great - but even without the insurance, their prices were reasonable/affordable. Thank you again to the entire team at Sayva Dental! A few weeks ago i was seen by the New female dentist (Dr.Kella) that has acquired the practice. I was so used to the old Dentist doing my dental work and it was really odd going back and seeing a new doctor and all NEW staff. Im usually extremely scared of the dentist. She took the time to talk to me about my procedure and explained everything clearly. She took her time and calmed my nerves. The entire staff has been nothing less than AMAZING. They were all very helpful and possess great personalities. I usually have a difficult time with dental x-rays but not this time. The assistant (Michelle) she was great took her time and was very gentle when taking my x-rays. NO PAIN.. Best dental experience ive had in over 15 years. I would definitely recommend this office to everyone. Thank you Dr.Kella , Michelle and rest of the staff you were all very attentive, informative and thank you for this great experience.

Two *enormous* thumbs UP for this practice! Dr. Kella was SO meticulous with her work and expertise, I know I got the best outcome. She provided a complete explanation of her dental plan and full transparency of pricing. She answered all my questions and took the time to create a plan that worked for me. The office is incredibly efficient and Dr. Kella and her staff go above and beyond to make sure that you've had a pleasant experience. They treat you with professionalism, respect and kindness. The practice is even giving back to the community! I was so impressed and will be recommending Dr. Kella and Sayva Dental to all my friends and family!

I have gone to many dental facilities. This was my first visit to Sayva Dental. I went there to get my broken tooth extracted. I was surprised how easily Dr, Kella extracted the entire tooth from the root. I felt no pain. Not only Dr. Kella was comforting to work with, her support staff was very friendly. They provided me with a set of follow up instructions and precautions to take and continue to check in on me. The entire team was extremely caring and sincere. Overall it was a great experience.
