Its common sense that a medical facility like a dental office would have procedures in place to make sure the office is clean for patients & staff. We are proud to exceed the standards of the Centers for Disease Control as we make patient safety & office sterilization our top priorities.
Our dental implements are thoroughly cleaned & sterilized before each use & we make certain there is no contamination possible. More than simply using soap & water, we sterilize our dental instruments using steam in a machine called an autoclave. The tools are subjected to high enough heat to kill any bacteria or viruses that may have been transferred to the tool during use. Wherever we can, we use disposable materials & barriers that we throw away after each use, eliminating the need to sterilize them.
Our dentists, hygienists & dental assistants keep themselves clean & wear all standard personal protective equipment to make certain our patients remain safe. This equipment includes gloves, eyewear & masks & is all single-use, discarded after each patient. Our clothing is professionally cleaned so our team members can have a fresh outfit each day. If their clothing gets soiled during their shift, we keep extra clean clothing for them to change into as needed.
There are many rooms in a dental office that are used by both patients & staff. In addition to regular office cleaning done outside our office hours, we take special care to disinfect surfaces touched by patients & staff in the well-traveled rooms. Several times a day, we go through each room & wipe down frequently touched surfaces using medical-grade disinfectants, including countertops, tables, doorknobs, cabinets, sinks & restrooms.
We use advanced air purifiers to naturally clear the air of viruses, bacteria & other contaminants to keep you safe. Using vaporized hydrogen peroxide, these systems render airborne particles harmless & can even help to sanitize surfaces & control odors.
We use advanced technology that virtually eliminates airborne particles that result from dental treatment. Our extra-oral suction systems collect droplets & particles that escape the mouth during treatment & filter out potential contaminants so they dont come into contact with patients or staff.
To take our disinfecting procedures one step further, we apply a disinfectant fog throughout our office to eliminate any bacteria remaining in the air or in difficult to reach spaces. Our fogger machine neutralizes bacteria, viruses & other potentially harmful particles.
Its important in any dental office that the water used to rinse our patients mouths is clean & free of harmful bacteria. Our water lines are filtered to get rid of bacteria & microorganisms that would not pose a threat to healthy patients but might be more dangerous to older patients or those with compromised immune systems.
Keeping our patients safe & healthy takes the whole team, & we each do everything we can to maintain high standards. In addition to the precautions above, our team members stay out of the office when they are feeling unwell, & we ask that our patients do the samefor the health & well-being of our community.

Once again, Dr. Jay and his staff went above and beyond expectations! Late Tuesday afternoon I called Sayreville Dental , Dr. Jay Silverstein's office, 161 Main St., because I had a toothache and it felt cracked. I got an appointment for 2:00 the next day. I was seen very promptly, told it was cracked and had to be extracted, and to wait a few minutes; Dr. Jay's staff will find someplace for me to have it done. By 2:30 I was on my way to Oral Surgery Group on Summerhill Rd. in East Brunswick. They were also VERY efficient and caring. Dr. Amy Tanchyk was such a gentle, caring, confident dentist. Her assistant actually massaged my shoulder as I was receiving the Novocain! By 4:00 p.m., I was home, pain-free. Amazing service!

My crown fell out and I called the office and was able to get an appointment the next day. I am always very anxious going to the dentist and Dr.Jay help me relax and was so nice. Everyone in his office is friendly, helpful and understanding.

Updated May 2021 I live in Los Angeles now but fly across the country to New Jersey to visit Dr. Jay and Sayreville Dental. Always a pleasure, and the only dentist I trust with my teeth! Thank you, Dr. Jay! Posted August 2017 ***Nightmare Situation*** One unfortunate night, I chipped my front tooth on a glass bottle while dancing. I looked like a total idiot, felt horrible, and thought I'd never smile the same. The following morning, I called Sayreville Dental. They were super busy but scheduled a last-minute emergency appointment. The tooth was busted up, but Dr. Jay is incredible! He patiently bonded, sanded, and fixed the tooth to make it look like new! Thank you for the amazing dental experience. I would go anywhere for Dr. Jay Silverstein and Sayreville Dental!

Would recommend to everyone! Dr. Jay is truly the best! I have always been afraid of dentists. Recently after not having such a great dentist pull 4 of my teeth I knew it was needed to find a new dentist. After I found dr jay, i was apprehensive about actually going. It's very rare to find a really good dentist. When I walked in I was amazed! The office is VERY clean! They take many precautions with covid. Their staff is so friendly and always a joy to be around. He makes you feel comfortable. If you're looking for a great dentist you're in the right spot!

I just moved to the area and needed a dentist. Sayreville dental was great. Everyone was so nice I felt like I have been going there forever. My cleaning was great. They told me what was needed and what wasn't. They make you feel very comfortable. No waiting time. They take you right on time and don't rush you at all. So glad I found them!
