Dr. Adam Saylor was raised in Topeka, Kansas. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Kansas where he graduated on the deans list and was awarded a Bachelor of Science in biology. He went on to obtain his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where he graduated with high academic standing and was honored to represent his class as dental school president. Followingdental school, Dr. Saylor completed his advanced graduate study in orthodontics at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry.
Dr. Saylor continually studies the latest advances in orthodontic treatment through membership and participation in the Illinois Society of Orthodontists and the American Association of Orthodontists. He believes that his attention to detail, ability to listen, kind demeanor, and conscientious mindset make him an excellent addition to Dr. Murphys team.
Dr. Murphy attended St. Thomas College (now University of St. Thomas)in St. Paul, Minnesota, and continued his education at Loyola University School of Dentistry in Chicago. After graduation, he joined the US Army.
After serving in the army, Dr. Murphy enjoyed a general practice here in Glen Ellyn with Dr. John Clancy. They worked together for five years until Dr. Murphy had the opportunity to study orthodontics at the University of Detroit in swinging downtown Detroit.
Orthodontics has been a way of life in Glen Ellyn for Dr. Murphy at several locations. The present office building originally was thepractice of a pioneer in orthodontics, Dr. Karl Von Der Height. Dr. Murphy first remodeled the office in 1985 and itwas completely reconstructed in 2001/2002.
Dr. Murphys personal interests include downhill skiing, photography, traveling, and most recently, golf. He and his wifeKathyenjoy sharing these interests with their four children:Brian, Kathleen, Sean, and Megan.
Dr. Murphy feels great fulfillment when he contributes more than smiles to the community. Throughout the community, he has donated bronze statues of children riding bicycles, reading books atop a park bench, and a few others. Many passersby have stopped in to thank Dr. Murphy for his continued support of the community.
Orthodontic care doesn't stop beyond our office's front door. We appreciate the importance of keeping our patients engaged in their ongoing treatment. Contests and incentive programs reward teens and children for keeping their teeth clean, using orthodontic appliances properly, and eating the right foods.

Dr. Saylor is amazing. I went to see an orthodontist who told me I would need to undergo surgery to correct my bite but when I had my consult with Dr. Saylor he told me I wouldn't. Fast forward almost a year with braces, I already see great results! The entire team is just so great and I'm so glad I didn't go with the first opinion I heard.

Very impressed with Dr. Adam Saylor follow-up and specially Christina who reach out many times to me in order to address an issue, even though it was with a different oral surgeon office. Staff very professional and pro-active.

I highly recommend anyone looking for great orthodontic care to go to Dr. Saylor and his ortho team!! Dr. Saylor was my younger sister's orthodontist as a child, and I, unfortunately, did not see him for my childhood braces. Comparing our teeth years later, there was a major difference. My teeth had shifted and hers are still very nice. I decided to visit Dr. Saylor and he was very accommodating. I did not want another round of braces, so we decided Invisalign would be the best option for me to straighten my teeth without going the route of braces. The process was very simple and if I ever needed anything, the ortho team was available to help. They are always so welcoming, professional, and communicated clearly about the next steps to take. I am now finished with my Invisalign process and I really could not be any happier. They truly pride themselves on making their clients happy. I would recommend them to clients of any age. (They are also taking great COVID-19 precautions! Much appreciated as a healthcare professional.)

What took me so long? I'm 52 years-old, in month 17 of my 18 month treatment with Dr.Saylor and I am THRILLED with my results. My first consult I thought I needed Invisalign. Dr Saylor said if I was his sister he would recommend traditional braces. Say no more, braces it was. I chose clear braces, barely noticeable from a distance. I'm like a kid in a candy store waiting for Dr. Saylor to say those seven magic words "let's schedule the removal of your braces"! My 14 year-old son is also a patient of Dr. Saylor's, again, zero complaints. I also should note that in the 17 months I've been going to Dr. Saylor, I have never had to wait for my appointment. Always on time. If you are an adult and thinking about braces, don't wait, make your appointment now, you won't regret it.

Best ortho there is! I highly recommend! The entire staff is kind, personable, and professional. I went here for Dr. Murphy when I was a kid for braces. 18 years later I came back for a small shift in my teeth that Dr. Saylor helped me with. No need to look elsewhere - this place and Dr. is the best!

Dr. Saylor is THE BEST! My daughter (who was not even his patient but her sibling is) had an emergency injury today with her braces. I called Dr. Saylor and he immediately returned my call. Told us to come in and he would try to help. When we arrived he had already contacted her dentist in case there was tooth injury. He was able to resolve the problem. If you are looking for an orthodontist who truly cares about his patients and goes above and beyond 100% of the time, call his office! He and his staff are the best of the best. We are so thankful!
