As an orthodontist, my goal is to make each persons treatment experience comfortable, efficient, and effective. I want my patients to enjoy their time in braces, to feel safe and supported during treatment, and to finish with their best smile.

Orthodontics is a continually advancing specialty. Around the world, new techniques, materials, and technologies are developed, tested, and brought to market. It is my responsibility to stay current on new options as well as constantly to strengthen and broaden my skills.
Over the course of my career I have completed hundreds of hours of continuing education. I have studied locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally, participated in seminars and lectures, and attended professional meetings.
Time with my family is important to me. I have three children, three grandchildren, and a St. Charles Retriever. Outside of work, I love golfing, enjoy trying new restaurants, and attend as many college football and soccer games as I can. I have also coached local youth soccer.

Orthodontic appliances are made of metal, ceramic, or plastic. They may be removable or they may be brackets bonded to the teeth. By placing a constant, gentle force in a carefully controlled direction, braces slowly move teeth to the proper position.
Gone are the days when a metal band with a bracket was placed around each tooth. You can now choose clear or metal brackets and, in some cases, the color of your appliance. Wires are far less noticeable, and the latest materials are designed to move teeth faster with more comfort. Today, any age is a great age to wear braces!
Treatment time varies and can last between one and three years, depending on several factors including age, treatment method, and how minor or severe your case is. A big factor in a successful treatment is you! The more involved and diligent you are, the more efficient your treatment will be. For children, receiving interceptive or early treatment can also help provide a quicker treatment time.

Dr. Sauter is an excellent orthodontist. My mother took me to him when I was a kid and I loved it there so much, I decided to take my son when he needed braces. He takes such good care and does what is needed to have straight teeth! The staff is also so nice and welcoming. Would definitely recommend anyone to this place.

I had a horrible experience at this place. Dr Sauter told me that my braces had to stay on for another few months then when I paid off my treatment a month later he took my braces off. When the assistant made my impressions for my retainer she did a horrible job that my retainer was loose in my bottom teeth so much that my teeth started shifting. I mentioned it to Dr Sauter he blamed me by saying I wasn't wearing my retainer like I was supposed to which was completely untrue. He refused to correct the issue by making another retainer so I had to pay for a retainer somewhere else. I will never refer this Dr to anyone. I wish I had gone else where because my bottom teeth are not as straight as they should be and it's not my fault.

I have had two of my children go through Dr. Sauter and it has been a great experience. The kids have gotten their teeth straighted out and my wallet didn't flatten out as we went along. The office staff is great and friendly and I have not had any complaints from my kids regarding their treatment. I recommend them.

We have been seeing Dr. Sauter for years, and Dr. Sauter was referred by my friend. Since I had bad experience with other orthodontics doctor in the past, so it is kind of nervous about referral is good or not. After the first visit for consultation, I already felt Dr. Sauter is right doctor for my son based on Dr. Sauter's insight of the issues, and detailed explanation of what my son needs to be done. After two years, my son has a nice teeth. Definitely it is a professional job. Then my second son started having orthodontics issues half year ago, and I don't hesitate to bring my second son to see Dr. Sauter again to take care of his teeth; I am looking forward seeing my second son's teeth as beautiful as my first son's.
