I was visiting from out of town and had an abcess. They got me in the same day and got me out of pain until I could get to my regular dentist. Both the dentist and assistant were very kind and understanding.

Long but please read! I debated leaving this review, because it seems everyone but me has had a stellar experience. I will start by saying this; The dentist is nice, and did good work. The hygienists are exceptional. They are friendly, kind, and efficient. One hygienist even remembered that two weeks ago my youngest had an ear infection, and she asked how she was doing. I loved that. Here's the problem; On my first visit, everyone was super nice, right down to reception. My only issue was that the way the one receptionist explained my treatment plan, was very confusing. There were seemingly random numbers circled, so didn't understand it at all. I kept asking questions though, because I needed to understand how much I was in for on billing. I even thought the way she described their cleaning schedule was unnecessarily confusing. I thought I finally understood, and left happy and excited to finally have a good dentist. The day of my root canal comes and once I was done, still completely numb and in pain, and when I get to the desk, I was hit with a $920 bill for my root canal and filling, after insurance. Not only was the treatment plan $130 less, but my last root canal was around $600, so I was totally shocked. I immediately started crying, which was embarrassing. I hate crying in public, but due to other medical conditions, any dental procedure takes a huge toll on me physically, and the stress made it impossible to hold it in. In addition to that, and the fact that I live very much check to check, and had only recently paid off a huge dental debt, I was sobbing. I felt so helpless and scared because I simply don't have that kind of money. After my previous root canal, I had already made up my mind to just have the tooth pulled, but they made the price seem so low, I went for the root canal instead. I wish I had stuck to my plan. My main problem, is that, not only did I feel conned, but this receptionist was looking at me like I was a lunatic. Not even a hint of sincere empathy. I was embarrassed, scared and angry. Admittedly, I made a fool of myself, and I was not being the kind of person I like to be in front of those receptionists. I had even planned on apologizing when I went back. Although I felt justified in my shock, I didn't call anyone names, and I didn't raise my voice. Was I fed up, hysterical and crying my eyes out? You betcha. Cut to today, when I went back in to get the permanent crown. I brought my treatment plan with me, just in case I needed it, but I ultimately was ready to just get in, get out, and get home. I walk in, and give my name, trying to be pleasant. The hygienist comes to get me, gets me in the chair and gets the bib on me. Once the hygienist walks away and I'm all alone, the other receptionist comes in and says that she was told I had questions about my treatment plan. I thought she had me confused for someone else, as I said nothing to anyone about this today. I told her about the questions I had two weeks ago and apologized that it was not my finest hour. She proceeded to go over the treatment plan with me again, in what I felt was a condescending manner. I told her several times, that I understood the plan, but that I'm not ok with the price, but also that I would like to just agree to disagree and let it go. I kept telling her that I just wanted to get my tooth fixed and move on. She continued to berate me about why they charge what they charge. I explained that I still just want to move on and stop talking about it, and that my current issue was the lack of empathy when I was upset. She doubled down and stated that she was standing right there when it happened, as if to say "that's not how it went down". I felt trapped in this chair, and this cubicle, with this receptionist patronizing me and making me relive the embarrassment and not respecting the fact that I asked her to stop. So once again, I left embarrassed and in tears. Kindness goes a long way, especially when someone is upset, and the receptionists only seem to be nice when everyone's happy.

I've been coming to the dentist here long before Dr Meyer arrived so I've been with him since he started here. So far I've only needed to see him twice each year and our interaction has been minimal but he's very nice and easy to talk to. My wife and kids come here as well. Andrea is the best and has been cleaning my teeth for years. If you need a dentist I have no reason to tell you to go anywhere else!

This was my first experience here and they were excellent! I needed an emergency visit they worked me in and took their time with me and left me feeling comfortable and knowing I had definitely found my new dentist. I would highly recommend this practice very professional, caring, thorough and thoughtful. I've moved an hour away since my first visit but it's worth the drive back for excellent care. Highly recommend this office.

It's always a concern when we have to go to the dentist because of a broken tooth, but all my concerns vanished the moment I entered the Sauratown Dental and was welcomed with a smile. The first impression was excellent, not only because of the welcoming smile, but also because of the spotless surroundings, everything clean, organized, well decorated. The cleanliness of the rest room is absolutely outstanding! I've never been to a public restroom where I just couldn't find any dirty spot (believe me, I know how to look for it!). The attendant that took me to examination room was the kindest person, that talks to you in a way that makes you feel comfortable and safe. Dr. Ryan Mehrer was kind, precise, and talked to me about my options rather than telling me what had to be done. He immediately recognized my Brazilian accent, and even shared with me some words in Portuguese, that he learned from his wife Ana, with whom I could speak in our native language - that really helped me to understand better what I needed to. Because I don't have a dental insurance, they charged me a fair price for the tooth extraction, that was a minor surgery that took a few minutes, with Dr. Meher and his assistant always asking me if I was ok. I wish I could remember his assistant's name. She was literally by my side all the time, comforting and encouraging me during the anesthesia and surgery. I understand now how in 501 reviews they had only 5 stars! I totally recommend their services!

I literally was letting my teeth rot from my skull due to being terrified of the pain of having them worked on that I've experienced with every other dentist and the fact that every other dentist has pretty much extorted me for money as most due. However this dental place here isn't like other dental groups. They were extremely friendly and worked to get you the best price possible! Also Dr. Mehrer was fantastic and friendly and made sure I was as comfortable as could be. I felt no pain what so ever during my extraction. As long as hes doing business I will never see another dentist.
