Dr. John Sartorio graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in May 1985. He completed a General Practice Residency at the Dayton, OH Veteran's Administration Medical Center June 30, 1986. The residency program provided advanced training in all disciplines of dentistry as well as rotations through Physical Medicine, General Surgery, Anesthesia and Ear, Nose & Throat Surgery and Clinics. Dr. Sartorio worked as an associate in a private practice and as a part time staff member at a rural dental/medical clinic from July 1986-August 1987. Since August of 1987 to present he has been in private practice in the South Hills area of Pittsburgh.
Dr. Sartorio has completed over 200 hours of continuing education at the prestigious Seattle Institute for Advanced Dental Education and the Dawson Center for the Advancement of Dentistry. He has also completed an additional 400+ hours of continuing education across all disciplines of dentistry. Dr. Sartorio is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry and American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
In the past I had Dentists mess up my teeth pretty badly which resulted in multiple root canals . I was happy to find Dr. Sartorio years ago and I have continued to go to him along with the rest of my family. He is excellent and well worth the drive I have to make to get there. Nice to have someone you could fully trust with your teeth!!!!
I've been practicing dental hygiene for over 20 years. I have worked with Dr. Sartorio for 11 wonderful years!! I graduated from West Liberty State College in 1983 with an Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene. I then completed my BS degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1984. I have worked in private practice, and also worked as a clinical instructor at the University of Pittsburgh Dental Hygiene Department and Westmoreland County Community College Dental Hygiene program.
I am very active in the Western Pennsylvania Dental Hygienists' Association. I have been involved with organizing state and local dental hygiene meetings, continuing education courses and Special Olympics/Special Smiles program in Allegheny County.
Our office is on the cutting edge, with new equipment, modern sterilization techniques and we use the highest quality materials. Continuing education is a priority in our office. You will find our office to be very professional and at the same time, very relaxing.

Billie and Dr. Sartorio have been taking care of my dental needs for years. Very smart and thorough, they always make sure that everything is ok. If anything doesn't look right, they explain it completely then fix it. I think this is the best dental practice in Pittsburgh and highly recommend them.

Dr. Sartorio and the office staff are very kind and professional. Dr. Sartorio made me feel very comfortable during my experience- and I typically do not like going to the dentist. Each dental chair has its own TV which is nice and helped keep me distracted during my root canal. The secretary, Mary Lou, is very sweet and helpful. The office is updated and very clean; I will continue bringing my family here.
