Alabama Medicaid is a program that pays for routine dental care for the children of Alabama under the age of 21 years, as long as the child is eligible for full Medicaid. Most children are no longer eligible after their 19th birthday unless they qualify for another category. Adults age 21 and older are not eligible for dental coverage through Medicaid.
More than a million Alabama residents each year qualify for full or partial Medicaid coverage. To qualify for Alabama Medicaid, applicants must meet and provide proof of income, meet age requirements, fill out forms correctly and turn in a completed application to the correct office or worker.
Alabama Medicaid dental services must be provided by or under the supervision of licensed dentists enrolled as Medicaid dental providers. Routine procedures involving the teeth covered* by Medicaid include:
ALL Kids is a low-cost health care coverage program for children under age of 19 years. Benefits include regular checkups and immunizations, sick child doctor visits, prescriptions, vision and dental care, hospitalization, mental health and substance abuse services, and much more.
ALL Kids uses Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama (BCBSAL) to provide services through their preferred provider network. If your child is approved, coverage will begin on the first day of the month after the application is received.
Income eligibility determination can only be made when a complete application is received by ALL Kids. Please note, even if your income falls outside of the below guidelines, you may still be eligible for coverage the only way to know for sure is to apply.

Advantage Dental's Info. say they close at 5:00 pm but if you call after 4:00pm to make an appointment, they don't schedule it for you, what a deficiency!

I find the staff very patient with my son who is very active and also gets anxious. They are also fexible with our schedule. We always have a good experience with their friendly and professional staff.

This visit was very good. Front desk staff not the best in personalities. Paperwork ask to consent to information you haven't received. Like the wagon before the horse. Nothing is explained until after you've had your vitals taken. Then you're escorted to the Dental exam area. This Dentist was a Dentist Doctor. Very caring and knows her profession. I really liked her consulting with another Dentist for confirmation on a life living outcome. Previous visit was terrible. Front desk staff a little bit more informative but not friendly. Fake if you're having a bad day but greet with courtesy. Then my iPhone was stolen. They denied seeing me with the phone. But the find my phone app located the phone in their office Sarrell until 9pm that night. The next day after they opened only one staff (Latino) member took me back and showed she was trying to help.The others shrugged their noses as I know you were here but it is if no relevance to me. The dentist male had been rude and told me I could go to another Dental Office anytime . As if I didn't have knowledge of that. I'm a retired Nurse of 35 years . Not only Med Surg but Surgery also and Medical offices. Not asking anything but children can be traumatized by Doctors of all specialty. I had 3 children there and when I told them we had to go back it was a nightmare. Finally I promised if that same Doctor was there we would leave if no one else would see them. Overall this Dentist was #5 the best.

My daughter had a very bad experience with her previous dentist she was terrified to go to a Dentist!! We went here and the staff and the Dentist was so great they made her so comfortable and explained the procedure step by step!! Needless to say she is NO longer afraid of the dentist!! Great Place

Second time scheduling appointments for my kids, we get there and the door is locked and no answer when I called. Second time having to take off work and check the kids out of school. Neither time did I receive a call or any notification of whatever the situation may be or to reschedule. I am absolutely furious

Do y'all check children's eye my son is 3 and a eye place somewhere in Tuscaloosa wants to send him to Birmingham cause he got one eye that is lazy and the other eye is gonna right and don't have time to go to Birmingham need a place to take him to in Tuscaloosa instead

I absolutely love Sarrell Dental. My daughter has had quite a few teeth pulled, top and bottom spacers put in and eye testing done. Each time we've been they have been very respectful to us. They take the time to make sure my daughter is comfortable and isn't feeling any pain. Wait time in the lobby has never been longer than 10-15 minutes and time in the back has never been longer than about 25-30 minutes. They are very considerate of my daughter when she goes and have always talked her through any process of what they have to do. We will always be a loyal Sarrell customer.

I could not be happier with Sarrell Dental for my child's care. The staff is friendly and compassionate and the dentists have always been patient and extremely professional. Everyone is kind and considerate and the wait times have always been minimal.
