The Sarasota Periodontal Associates couldn't be better. I am a reluctant dental patient and have been terrified of that chair all my life. Dr Gonzalez and his kind and knowledgeable staff have changed all that fear into a pleasant experience at last. I thank them most enthusiastically and wouldn't think of going anywhere else for Periodontal issues!

Dr. Gonzalez and his staff are excellent! When I needed to have a skin graph procedure I was very apprehensive but Dr. Gonzalez and his staff answered all my questions and explained the procedure in detail. Not only it was it a pain-free procedure but it was very successful!. I highly recommend Dr. Gonzalez and Sarasota Periodontal Associates.

This practice demonstrates everything you would hope for as a patient. Dr. Gonzalez is a skilled and brilliant surgeon with a wonderful disposition. He performed major surgery on my mouth and I felt at ease through the entire process. His staff is very friendly and organized. I highly recommend Sarasota Periodontal Associates to everyone! Don't go anywhere else.

Dr Gonzalez is a fantastic Doctor installing implants. I have had implants performed with other Dentists and without a doubt this was the first time after the procedure I was painless. He is extremely talented and very precise with the oral surgery.

We went to Dr. Joseph Farris for a second opinion for my husband. First of all, Brittany at the front desk greeted us so pleasantly. What a delightful experience to be greeted by such a welcoming receptionist. Dr. Farris examined my husband's x-rays and mouth & thoroughly explained what he thought needed periodontal work. He spoke loudly enough so we both could hear him, even though he was wearing a mask. He instilled confidence as he explained everything to us. His assistant, Dominique patiently and pleasantly gave a thorough lesson on dental hygiene for someone with gingivitis. Denise at the check-out window was also very pleasant. I would recommend this office and Dr. Farris.

Sarasota Periodontal Associates proved to provide very unsatisfactory patient service. I was never called for an appointment confirmation going over Covid 19 rules and regulations, therefore, I still came in for my appointment that I've been waiting for months for, only to find out I could not be seen. Very unprofessional and wasteful of patients time!

My experience with Dr. Gonzalez was outstanding. He is very knowledgeable, highly skilled, and empathetic. When I scheduled an appointment, I was not expecting to be told that I would lose teeth. Dr Gonzalez understood my "trauma" over tooth loss , and he thoroughly explained the treatment necessary to correct loose bridges, bone loss, and infection to restore my mouth to good health. The extractions, bone replacement, infection treatment, and subsequent surgical implants were done expertly and with no pain. I am feeling great and am very satisfied with the results. I highly recommend Dr. Gonzales, and I thank him for the facilitation of the restoration of my mouth to good health and function. Pat Lyne

Dr. Gonzalez and his staff deserve more than 5 stars. As soon as my wife and I walked into the reception area, for our first visit, we were greeted as if we were family members. The receptionist was friendly, professional, and caring right from the beginning. And, this is how we were treated by everybody with whom we came into contact. What a way to make a first impression! When we met Dr. Gonzalez for the first time his infectious smile, friendliness, professionalism and caring just overflowed. I was ushered into an examination room by his assistant who had all of the same traits. I sat down on the dental chair and Dr. Gonzalez went to work examining my teeth to see what needed to be done and explained each step as he went along. It took a while as there is a number of things that need to be taken care of. But, during the exam he continued to make sure that I was comfortable and doing okay. When the exam was finished, an appointment was set for a conference to review his findings in much greater detail. Our conference turned out to be a class in periodontal education as Dr. Gonzalez went in depth as to what needed to be done and how, step by step, he would accomplish his goals. It was just like being back in school. He showed us that he is also an artist, sketching everything he said on a pad so we could visualize and further understand the procedures. Dr. Gonzalez, as an associate professor at UAB, really came to the forefront of our conference. We were asked many times if we had any questions -which we did,-and he answered them fully. Upon leaving, an appointment was set for 8/7/20 for the extractions, bone grafting etc . Dr. Gonzalez and his assistant made me so comfortable during my 2 1/2 hr procedure. Again their professionalism and caring was on display. I had no problems during the two weeks after the procedure, nor the followup appointment, which included the removal of my stitches. Now I wait a couple of months to begin the implants process which I am sure will be another great experience. Again, let me reemphasize that Dr. Gonzalez and his staff are above and beyond a 5 star rating!!!!!

I had an excellent experience, given I had flap surgery. I believe it was the right move and after several weeks I feel much better than before the surgery, I was well informed as to my options and I was well cared for. Highly recommend this practice.
