I have a Bachelors in Psychology from Florida Atlantic University. I spent several years in the fitness industry before entering the healthcare industry in 2018 while completing a two-year certification course in Medical Business Management through FAUs executive education department.

Im a Chicago native that raised my 5 children in St. Louis where I became a dental hygienist. Currently practicing 46 years and proud to bring my experience and knowledge to Sarasota Dental Arts! I bring a soft touch and kind personality and all of my patients love me. My hobbies include reading, biking, cooking, and spending time with my GrandLoves. Nine of them live in Florida so I enjoy spending the weekends with them. I am so excited to be a member of this dynamic team and to provide great care to all of my patients!

By far the BEST dentist office Ive ever been to. They take their time with you, there is no rush, especially with scaredy cats like me (and my husband). They actually care about doing the best for you and try to find all the possible ways to help you. Wont go anywhere else. To go to them I drive 2.5 hours each way and its well worth it.

Originally from Essexville, Michigan, Dr. Kaya Aygen received his Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology with a minor in Health and Humanities from Michigan State University. While Dr. Aygen was in college, his father retired from his medical practice and moved to southwest Florida. Dr. Aygen decided to follow his family to sunny Florida and received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from the University of Florida. Go Gators!

He practiced as an associate dentist in both Chicago and Washington D.C. at high-end cosmetic and implant-oriented practices. After he had a taste of big-city practices and life, he decided to return to Florida to be closer to family. He returned to the Sarasota area and practiced in Venice, Florida. The opportunity arose to join this practice, which has been caring for patients in Sarasota for twenty years. When the senior dentist retired, Dr. Aygen was chosen to succeed her.

Dr. Aygen strives to be the best, most compassionate dentist in Sarasota, FL. He is a constant learner and innovator. He has many advanced qualifications, including certification in IV Conscious sedation, Guided Dental Implant Surgery, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Invisalign and Clear Aligner Therapy. He has also been fellowship trained in Genomics Based Precision Medicine and was awarded the title of Top Dentist from Sarasota Magazine.

Dr. Aygen is happily married to his amazing wife, Jamie. They have two beautiful girls, as well as a 2 family cats. When Dr. Aygen is not caring for patients, you can probably find him playing with his kids or cooking, exercising, or reading.

Dr. Kenneth Di Carlo is a native of New England growing up on the Atlantic coast, just five miles north of Boston. Raised and educated there, he then attended the University of Connecticut in Storrs, CT. Upon graduating from UConn with honors in 1971, Dr. Di Carlo went on to attend Tufts Dental School in Boston, graduating again at the top of his class, and receiving his DMD degree in 1975.

Dr. Di Carlo then opened his private practice in his hometown of Revere, MA, where he enjoyed practicing dentistry for almost 30 years. Always caring deeply for his patients, he was a highly respected member of the community.

Dr. Di Carlo has been an active member of the American Dental Association and its state and local affiliates, a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, and a clinical instructor at Tufts Dental School. He looks forward to getting to know you and sharing his knowledge and experience with you.
