Prior to opening Sarah Winter Dental, Dr. Sarah Winter invested seven years of her postdoctoral career training side-by-side with dentistrys leading pioneers. Along with a warm personality and gentle touch, Dr. Winter offers you the most advanced scientific approach to oral health, while providing a level of care that is above and beyond the rest.

We look at sleep, gum health, bone health, bite, and monitor for diseases that go far and beyond just the teeth. Today, she maintains active academic membership in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Functional Aesthetics, and the Spear Faculty Club, as well as the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and a several dental study clubs.

Nicole is originally from Boston, MA but decided to settle in San Diego with family for the beautiful weather and active lifestyle. She loves hiking, running, soccer, beach volleyball, eating out, and doing anything outdoors! Nicole spends most of her free time exploring new places in San Diego with her son Rowan, daughter Mattie, and Fianc, Trey. Nicole was inspired to become a dental hygienist at the young age of 14 by her older sister, Shavonne, who has also made dental hygiene her career. Surprisingly, it came natural and she discovered a hidden passion for teeth! Nicole started out as a dental assistant and continued onto hygiene school where she graduated from Mount Ida College in 2009. As your dental hygienist, Nicole is committed to providing you with the best experience. She prides herself with giving the most gentle, yet thorough cleaning possible. I believe hygiene visits can be fun and enjoyable. My biggest reward is witnessing patients laugh, and most of all improve their oral health over time while under my care. I look forward to taking care of you!

Breann is a registered dental assistant, who serves as our clinical ambassador. When you work with Breann, we hope you will notice how each visit begins with a conversation about you. She makes sure you are comfortable, takes time to communicate about your visit, and works along side Dr. Winter to complete your dental treatment. Breann is passionate about restoring oral health and smile appearance, and loves to see the emotional benefits that come with having a beautiful smile. Fresh air, good food, and lots of outdoor fun keep Breann feeling happy and vibrant outside of our dental practice.

Dr. Charlotte Etesse is a warm and compassionate general and cosmetic dentist. She is a proud double Bruin, earning her Bachelor of Science in Physiology at UCLA followed by her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at the UCLA School of Dentistry. She graduated Cum Laude, was inducted into the OKU national dental honors society, and was recognized for her achievements in restorative dentistry, endodontics, periodontics, and overall leadership. Dr. Charlotte also completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the V.A. in Long Beach. Her post-doctoral education allowed her to focus on conservative restorations and smile designs, comprehensive full mouth care, implant dentistry, and emergency dental treatments. She is trained to understand how oral health contributes to total body health. After practicing dentistry in her hometown of Los Angeles, Dr. Charlotte moved to San Diego with her husband whom she met in dental school.

Beyond her clinical and academic achievements, patients mostly know Dr. Charlotte for her caring nature and friendly personality. She believes that the foundation for outstanding care is the doctor-patient relationship. Dr. Charlotte gets to know her patients, their medical and dental histories, and their desires in order to formulate a plan that fits into their lifestyle. With Dr. Charlotte, patients are active participants in the dental care decisions and know that their comfort is a top priority. She believes that optimal oral health and hygiene are essential to achieving and maintaining overall health.

When she isnt practicing dentistry, you can find her relaxing at the beach or eating at a local restaurant with her husbandshe appreciates good food because she comes from a family of chefs! She has loved exploring San Diegos eateries and supporting local businesses. She is excited to be working alongside Dr. Winter and her team to continue their commitment to exceptional care.

Christian came to dentistry in 2006 through his capacity as a software author writing custom applications to communicate with patients using email and text message. Once inside the field, the many different layers of challenge fit his appetite for problem solving and it was evident a new career had begun. The best part of the job remains the people involved, from the patients to the team, as building relationships that last is key to the journey of life.

Ann Marie Navarra, RN, MSN, FNP is board certified nurse practitioner who was born and raised in San Diego. Annie received her bachelors degree in Spanish and Communications from Wake Forest University in North Carolina(Go Deacs!).She earned a masters in nursing from the University of San Diego in2005 and became a board-certified family nurse practitioner in 2008. Her nursing experience includes Labor and Delivery at Scripps Memorial, pediatrics, womens health, family practice, and internal medicine.As an FNP-BC, Annie went on to work at IGO medical group where she treated women before, during, and after their pregnancy, in addition to seeing patients for well woman exams and problem gynecologic visits. Annie is also a certified lactation educator and is passionate about helping women breastfeed successfully after delivery. She has also travelled with the Mercy outreach surgical team (MOST) on three medical missions to interior Mexico to volunteer her services in the operating and recovery rooms.

Catherine Cat is our chair side DA/dental assistant. As an assistant, she ensures an efficient and professional experience for our patients while offering a comfortable and relaxed environment. Cat graduated with a Biological Science degree from Colorado State University in 2000, and quickly jumped into dentistry in the state of Wyoming, followed by Arizona. Her career in dentistry was put on hold while raising a young family and living overseas in Germany while married to a former active duty Air Force special agent. Cat has since permanently settled into La Jolla and loves it! Any free time is spent at the gym, the beach, or at her kids sports games.

Alisa Frazier, Registered Dental Hygenist Alisa is an ocean enthusiast originally from the Central Coast. She received her B.S. in Nutrition and a minor in biology from Cal Poly State University in San Luis Obispo, and later received her Associates in Dental Hygiene from Concorde Career College in 2014 Alisa is a gentle, yet thorough hygienist that is passionate about helping to improve your overall health through dental hygiene. She will work with you to find the right tools and tricks to suit your individual hygiene needs. She is enthusiastic about providing each patient the best dental experience possible When she is not at the office, Alisa and her husband love to travel, surf, and snorkel, and are very active in their church community and love serving on mission trips.

Danielle, Registered Dental Assistant Danielle is a registered dental assistant and treatment coordinator. She has been in dentistry for over 25 years, working side-by-side with world renowned clinicians. Her passion is changing lives by creating beautiful, healthy smiles. With her cosmetic knowledge and expertise, you can count on Danielle to guide you throughout your entire dental experience. Danielle is a San Diego native and loves camping, traveling and most of all, hanging out with her family and two doggies

Debi, Treatment Coordinator Debi is our Treatment Coordinator. She is a native San Diegan, and enjoys any activity that involves being near the water. She comes with over 30 years of dental experience; both clinically and administratively. Debi began her dental career as a Registered Dental Assistant, before transitioning to the administrative side after 16 years of assisting. I love working at Sarah Winter Dental! The quality of care for the patients is superb, and the integrity is unmatched! Our team is like working with family and friends. I enjoy the connection I have with each patient. My goal is to build trust with them, creating lasting relationships and being their dental advocate while helping them feel free from financial dental burden. In her spare time Debi enjoys spending time with her husband, attending SDSU football games (where her husband is a Professor), friends and family. Debi has two grown children and two adorable grandchildren, whom she is blessed to spend a lot of time with, as they are here in San Diego.

Alicia Krantz, Hygiene Coordinator Alicia is our hygiene coordinator. She has had the pleasure of living all over the US as her husband serves in the military, most recently at MCAS Miramar. Alicia comes with several years experience in the dental field and truly enjoys learning all aspects of her position. It is joy is getting to interact with all of our patients on a daily basis, in person and on the phone. I love getting to know the customers on a personal level so I can strive to meet their needs above and beyond. Outside of the office, as an avid runner you can find Alicia signing up for races, exploring the city, and spending time with her two children and husband of 15 years.
