Dentistry has recently made exciting gains in prevention and early detection of tooth decay and gum disease, and that means a big advantage to patients who seek treatment from a progressive dentist. Recent advances in diagnostic technologies and a better understanding of dental disease and how it affects your overall health has put us ahead of the curve. We can detect problems early and solve them with minimally invasive treatments and more options than ever before.
The key principals that drive Dr. Wilseys dental philosophies are prevention, early detection, conservative care, patient education, and utilizing minimally invasive and health-conscious treatment. She devotes extensive time to continuing education, continuously pushing her boundaries as a dentist by staying at the forefront of new technologies and standards of care.
In her time outside of the office, Dr. Wilsey enjoys running, hiking, playing with her kids, reading, traveling and spending time with her husband. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the Marin Dental Society, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society and Spear Education.

Ive been in the Dental field since 1996 and have seen some amazing advancements over the years. I ended up in dentistry as a result of a temp job covering for someone on maternity leave and it turned out to be such a good fit that I stayed! Im great with numbers so the crazy insurance field actually makes sense to me! I have a degree in biology along with an extensive background in nutrition and alternative health care practices. I love working in the health care field and having the opportunity to educate people and share any knowledge that will help them on their path to optimal health.
Believe it or not dentistry found me and I cannot imagine having a career doing anything else. I have been a dental assistant since 2003 and have worked for Marin Health and Smiles since 2005. I have taken the opportunity, when presented, to expand my skills, knowledge, and duties as a registered dental assistant. I additionally graduated from University of the Pacific where I learned how to place fillings, cement crowns, and take impressions for partial dentures. This was a huge accomplishment for me because I can now be more involved in taking care of patients and their long term health.
I received a degree in Dental Hygiene from Miami Dade Community College in Florida in 1993. I have been a practicing hygienist for 25 years now with emphasis in educating my patients about their oral health. I have been certified and using the soft tissue laser for over 15 years, treating periodontal disease in non-surgical procedures. I also continue to take classes to further my knowledge in dentistry, as well as health issues that relate to periodontal disease.
