Dr. Sarah Frahm is a lifelong learner. She is committed to providing you with excellent, comprehensive dental care. Dr. Frahm uses advanced dental techniques and technology to ensure your comfort and lasting results.
Dr. Frahm received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 2003. She is the proud recipient of the Edward H. Karl Award recognizing the most significant professional and academic growth. Dr. Frahm graduated from Cornell College in 1998 with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Biology and Business.
Dr. Frahm completes more than 100 hours of postdoctoral training each year; earning recognition from dental experts around the country for her knowledge in the areas of cosmetic, general and restorative dentistry. Career learning highlights include:
Dr. Frahm is the Vice President of the Monterey Bay Dental Society; she is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and the International Association of Physiologic Aesthetics.
Dr. Frahm is an active member of Rotary International, where she was recognized with a Distinguished Rotarian award in 2015. She also serves on the YMCA board and IMPOWER executive committee and is a member of the Robert Down PTA.
Dr. Frahm is originally from Iowa and lived in Taiwan for five years where she enjoyed extensive travel through Asia. She is married to a fellow Cornell College graduate who is a civilian attorney for the Defense Language Institute in Monterey. They have three young children. She and her family delight in travel, and love to explore National Parks. Always attentive to detail and passionate about artistic expression, Dr. Frahms hobbies include embroidery and yoga.
Stacey serves as our clinical hygiene director. She uses her knowledge and expertise to restore and maintain your oral health. Stacey is committed to delivering the latest solutions to make treatment simple, comfortable, and easy for you.
Stacey is a graduate of Cabrillo College. She is a member of the American Dental Hygiene Association and American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. She has earned certification in Diode laser use, CPR and massage therapy. Stacey has completed extensive post-graduate work with several leading dental institutes:
Leann works directly with you to restore oral health. Her enthusiasm for advanced clinical training and pleasant personality makes you feel comfortable during teach restorative dental visit. Leann is an expert in the placement of porcelain crows, bridges, and tooth colored fillings.
After working for 14 years as a dental assistant focused on orthodontics and general dentistry; Leann decided to further her dental career by enrolling in the Registered Dental Assistant Expanded Functions Program at the University of the Pacific (UOP) Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in 2011. In 2012 she graduated at the top of her class.
Leann was invited to join the faculty at UOP in 2017. She was instrumental in helping choose relevant programs for dentists and auxiliary dental health care workers. She has been the perfect mentor and clinical care instructor for RDAEF students. In addition, Leann was invited by dentists present a lecture at the California Dental Association conference on utilizing an RDAEF in the dental practice. Most recently, Leann joined Monterey Peninsula College as an adjunct instructor for the Dental Assisting Program.
In her spare time, you can catch Leann with her husband and daughter who maintains a busier social schedule than her mom. With her love for the outdoors, she can be found hiking with her Shiba Inu, Skoshi at Toro Park then at home cuddling with her cat, Smokey. A dental nerd at heart, Leann is furthering her dental career through course work at Arizona State University.
Melissas straightforward approach has won her many fans over the years. She is a ceaseless patient advocate in every regard. Melissa will teach you about the best approaches for home dental care and call your insurance benefits provider to insist that they cover your treatment in a single care visit.
Watching someone smile after treatment is complete is my favorite part of my job, says Melissa. It doesnt matter what the treatment is, whitening, veneers or a CEREC crown, its just the difference it makes for them that is priceless.
An accomplished dental assistant, Melissa currently teaches in the Dental Assisting Program at Monterey Peninsula College. Melissa earned an Associates Degree in Science from Monterey Peninsula College. She holds certifications in Dental Assisting, Coronal Polishing, Radiology, and Pit and Fissure Sealants.
Yamilett completed the Registered Dental Assistant Expanded Functions Program at University of California at San Franciscos School of Dentistry in 2003. She holds certifications in Dental Assisting, Coronal Polishing, and Radiology. Yamilett has also completed training in management, patient comfort and CPR.

During her tenure as the leader of this dental practice, Dr. Kern used a comprehensive approach to dentistry to restore the health and appearance of many of our neighbors here on the Monterey Peninsula.
When it was time for Dr. Kern to broaden her presence in this world, by becoming a coach and mentor to dentists across the U.S., she hand-selected Dr. Sarah Frahm to assume the leading role here in Monterey.
Like Dr. Kern, Dr. Frahm is an active member of our healthcare and business community. Dr. Frahm is a member of the Monterey Chamber of Commerce, and the Professional Womens Network. She consistently contributes to the community through Smiles for Life, and by serving on the boards of several charitable organizations.

This is, hands down, the VERY BEST DENTIST I have ever experienced in my entire life! And I say that with emphasis. Immediately just by walking into the office, it's already different. And the way every single person treats you, it almost feels like it's out of a movie. It doesn't seem real. Almost too good to be true. Dr. Frahm is as professional, polite, and calm as they come. She goes way out of her way to make you feel relaxed, ask a bunch of clarifying questions, and allows you to ask questions back. For an individual like me, a man who is still very fearful of hitting the dentist chair, that means a lot. And don't even get me started on the incredible Staff that she has selected. The mirror her and all the positive ways, and bring their own positive energy as well. The actual experience of the dental work they do to you, I don't even want to ruin it! And make the whole process seamless, less anxious and stressful, and pain free as I could possibly imagine. Certainly that I've ever experienced over nearly 40 years. #1 in my book. NO QUESTION.

Friendly, knowledgable, kind, cost-effective, and very considerate! Dr Frahm and her team are far and away the best dental team I have ever seen. Their communication was clear, calm, and relaxing. The entire experience was more like being at a spa than at the dentist. Each person I met was very polite, engaging, and sincere. After 30+ years of being in a dental chair I've never met such kind and informative dental professionals. The team is very knowledgeable of dentistry and the relationship between the teeth and body. I learned many things about oral health from them. They were great at discussing options and even helping cut expenses on the work I needed. I have traveled a lot and been seen in many dental offices.

They said they specialize in sedation dentistry and reducing dental anxiety well they couldn't do that for me. The first time I went in was fine! They made me feel welcome, numb and I didnt feel a thing. But when I told them I was still not sedated the second time, they didnt believe me! I left that office angry because that was the last place in the area that "supposedly" was supposed to help me because I have really bad dental anxiety. I shouldn't have even had to go in a second time if they had just done their job right the first time. Now you have an angry client.

Had another outstanding appointment with Dr. Frahm and Stacey. I love having my teeth cleaned here. Dr. Frahm and her team welcome me warmly, thoroughly explain their recommended treatment, and answer all questions I have. Best dentist I've ever visited!

Having just relocated to the area and in need of an emergency crown I felt like a deer in front of headlights trying to pick a dentist over a holiday weekend! I got a few recommendations from friends but those dentists could not see me for over a week. I called Dr Frahm's office and explained what had happened and they made time for me at my earliest opportunity! Got to tell you I do NOT like getting dental work done! Dr Frahm has created a warm and friendly environment that resembles a spa experience with state of the art dental equipment! This experience was so fantastic and completely different from my past 3 dentists in my life! She and her friendly team, communicated what was being done and checked with me every step of the way which made me so at ease and comfortable! What a relief! (And great luck to have found Dr Sarah Fram!)

Dr. Frahm is great! She takes a genuine interest in her patients. She will know you by name and remember the small details you share with her about your life. Any newcomer will have a pleasantly unexpected experience. Ask about the paraffin hand treatment! Actually, they will offer it!
