As a native of San Francisco, and having lived in various places around the Bay Area and Seattle area, my family and I are now fortunate to call Santa Rosa our home. My path into dentistry began at Lowell High School when I fell in love with science and discovered that dentistry would be a great way to help people. I explored this further at UC Davis, obtaining my bachelors degree in Neurobiology, Physiology, &Behavior and doing various dental internships and jobs. Having a strong background of community service, I received the highly coveted National Health Service Corps Scholarship and attended the University of the Pacific, Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco.
Upon graduation, I began my service as a dentist working in public health clinics throughout northern California. By working with patients from diverse demographics in under-served communities, I was fortunate to work on a variety of cases and help others who face limitations in accessing dental care. I continue to work in public health clinics and participate in volunteer efforts such as CDA Cares. After years working as an associate dentist in clinics and private practices in CA and WA, my husband and I decided it was time to settle in a community where I could continue my practice while providing a great environment for family growth. Through some persuasion by my sister, Dr. Tina, we decided to make Santa Rosa our home.
When I am not working, I enjoy exploring the world with my familyfrom trekking the variety of northern California trails to finding the best eats internationally (ask me about some of my favorite foods that Ive eaten). I have two sons (Leo and Cody) who love taking in all the family friendly resources that Santa Rosa has to offer.
I understand patients have many choices for dental care so I am grateful to learn about each individual that walks through our door and how I can help them. Through annual Continuing Education courses that keep me up to speed with advanced techniques and resources, and with access to a vast network of dental professionals throughout the Bay Area, I am dedicated to providing patients with the best possible means for achieving their best smile.
Dr. Tinas interest for dentistry started when she had a toothache in high school and a dentist helped alleviate her pain. She realized how important your teeth are to your overall health and self esteem. Since then, she has been involved in community outreach, sparking her passion in caring for others. In turn, she has received the National Health Service Corp scholarship. She continues to see children from underserved areas weekly. She has also been involved in mission trips to Kenya and Jamaica. She is a member of the California Dental Association and the American Dental Association.
She did her undergraduate studies at San Diego State University and continued her dental degree at the University of the Pacific, Dugoni School of Dentistry. Her husband, a native of Santa Rosa, showed her the beauty of the area. They love the outdoors, which include hiking and camping. They also have a passion for food. They like to try new restaurants or new recipes.

People are competent and warm here. It's a place that feels "easy" as they are knowledgeable and non-pushy with their treatment of your teeth and your experience there. It reminds me of what my dad used to say to guests at our house, "feel at home." It's not the fanciest dental office I've been to, but that's okay... I just want to get expertise and fairness.

My husband and I, along with our sons, come here and we love it. Everyone on the team is amazing. Going to the dentist can be scary for little toddlers or any person and they really work hard to make sure everyone feels safe and happy. They explain everything in detail and are great at quoting and I believe very affordable. I have had quotes on things like a night guard and the whole process at other places and the cost was too high. Here it was a fraction of the cost. On top of feeling so welcome, detail oriented, and affordable their work from all of the team members is excellent. The pandemic was not kind to our teeth and at the time we lived in NYC and our dentist was shut down. When we moved here they fixed us all up! I would 100% recommend coming here for your whole family. We brought our youngest at 1 and the oldest was almost 3 here.

I have been going to Santa Rosa Implant for 20 years, I am so sorry that Dr. Murray retired. The practice that she had built was the best. Since she has sold her practice to Dr's Joanne and Tina NGO my dental care has been less than what I am accustomed to receiving. Most of their staff lack professional and compassion for their patients. I would not at this time recommend this office to any of my friends, colleagues or family members.

Elizabeth Frieder is the best hygienist I have ever had. I have periodontal disease and I need a thorough cleaning every 4 months and I tried a lot of dental offices in my life but none were as good and dedicated as Elizabeth.

I had a 'homey' experience in my first appointment! It started with a professional joyful receptionist who always answer the phone. I receive smiles from every staff there who listened and talked me. I appreciate the time and patience of Dr. J. Ngo in answering all my questions and giving me advices for my dental care!
