  • Ellen Stone D.M.D. Having lived in Santa Monica for over a decade, Dr. Ellen Stone is glad to finally make her dental home in Santa Monica. She completed her dental degree at the University of Florida College of Dentistry in 1999. She and her husband then moved to California where she completed a one-year residency in General Dentistry in West Los Angeles. After working in a private practice for two years seeing both children and adults, she realized that the aspects of dentistry she truly enjoyed were those involving children and adolescents. In 2002, she took the opportunity to move to Manhattan for two years to obtain her specialty in Pediatric Dentistry at New York University. Since 2004 she has worked exclusively with children and teens in private practices in Southern California. Her husband Danny, two children Ethan and Lyla, and shepherd-mix Luna complete her family. She enjoys long distance running, traveling, and cooking.

It doesn't get any better than Dr. Stone! She is my sons favorite (and mine) and the only reason going to the dentist isn't a big deal! She's efficient, quick, and gentle. Amazing children's dentist.

We love Dr. Schwarz! She is always up-to-date on evidence-based treatments and advice on dental care. She is very approachable and explains everything accessibly and comprehensively. Patty was our hygienist on our latest visit and she was great with the kids!

This was our first ever visit to a dentist for our three year old twins. The staff was incredibly kind and took the time to explain everything they were going to do before actually doing it, which really helped calm the boys' nerves. The office was so clean and really beautiful. They made what I thought would be a miserable time a really positive and fun experience.

If I were to rate the (new) dentist it would be a single star but because of the very kind assistant and previous experience with this clinic I am going with 3 stars.

This is by far the best place to take your little one for any dental needs. My two year old had two cavities (I know) but Dr Stone and Hannah Banana made her feel so comfortable and safe. The were so fast and efficient and we were in and out in less than an hour and my daughter was actually saying she had fun. Go figure. Thank you to the whole staff for all your gentle an attentive care.

Dr. Stone, Dr. Norman and our hygienist are all so fast and thorough. My son always makes it through these visits happy, calm and newly informed. He has had a couple of tricky baby tooth issues and they've handled them all with ease and good humor. They've been his dentist since he was 2 and they'll have to kick us out when he gets too old. I wish I could be a patient there!

My child doesn't mind going to dentist. That says a lot! They only see kids and they know how to cater to them. Wouldn't go anywhere else. Never talked into additional costly services . Dr. Stone is his dentist but we have seen the others as well and never had a problem.
