An intraoral camera is an indispensable diagnostic and educational tool. The tiny video camera moves around inside of your mouth and generates a tooth by tooth video exam of your teeth. Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. As you heal, the tissue reattaches to the bone and your gums return to a healthy infection-free state.

I go there twice a year for cleaning and other things like xrays. They are very good with the most modern up-to-date technology. Ive had a few cavities and crown replacements too. They are great for that to, particularly Dr Ryals. She is very empathetic with patients ...very calming under the circumstances!

I love my dentist and the dental staff. Dr. Ryals gets me in, I don't have to wait long. She always finds a slot for me when I have had a dental emergency. She communicates with me about the procedures and finds a solution that best fits for my health and my finances. Her staff is always friendly. I love, love, her hygienist. I have lived many places in the world, and by far, both of them exceed any services I've had. My daughter has high anxiety (panic/fainting) in doctors' offices. Dr. Ryals has worked with us over the years where now my daughter has no problem coming in and getting her teeth looked at, and a cavity filled - if need be.

I admit I have always felt anxiety going to the dentist, but Kelley Ryals, her assistant Matthew (I'm so horrible with names, I think that was his), and the entire staff are welcoming and professional. A nearly pain free experience. I highly recommend this Dentist.

Dr. Ruiz, a new member at SFMD who is amazing, smart and kind, joins this staff of wonderfully devoted people who work hard 6 days/week.
