Dr. Nylund was born and raised in Dallas, Texas where he attended the Episcopal School of Dallas. Following graduation from high school, he moved to Memphis, Tennessee to attend Rhodes College. Dr. Nylund received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the prestigious University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Dental School. Upon graduation, he attended a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency in Alamosa, Colorado, gaining valuable experience in oral surgery and endodontics, and developing a passion for pediatric dentistry. Dr. Nylund has participated in several dental trips in the border towns of Mexico, as well as provided dental care through the Indian Health Service in both North Dakota and Minnesota.
Dr. Nylunds commitment to excellence is shown by completing over 150 hours of continuing education every year compared to the 20 hours required by the state of New Mexico. He has completed the Christensen Continuum and has been asked to mentor other dentists participating in the training in Provo, UT. He has also proudly completed his KOIS training.
Dr. Nylund is committed to giving every patient the dental experience he would want for himself. He had several bad dental experiences as a kid and grew up afraid of going to the dentist. Dr. Nylund is committed to helping all of his patients achieve and maintain their highest possible oral health, while doing all he can to ensure the most pain-free experience for every procedure. He firmly stands behind and has a warranty for all the work he does.

I was so very disappointed!!!! It was my first appointment. I arrived at my scheduled time for my cleaning appointment. When I arrived, I wad told I should have arrived 15 minutes early. I was never told this. Normally, I would have been there if I was instructed. I was told that because I was "late", there wasn't time for a cleaning, only xrays. After I said I would prefer to cancel, they came back saying that they would be able to accomodate. The dental assistance was soooo rude to me! Then, another person walked in and started looking at my Xrays. No introduction....nothing. I asked if she was the doctor. She was the hygenist. After going through my xrays, she comes back with a diagnosis and a very expensive estimate. (They do not accept my insurance). On top of it, I was charged for the checkup including cleaning!!! $270.00! But I didn't get a cleaning. I was told that I would have to come back for the cleaning....which they didn't want to do from the start. The only kind person was the receptionist. I do not recommend this dentistry office.

Great experience. The staff is kind and courteous and are happy to take the time to answer questions, and make the notoriously arduous event of a dental appointment as much of a breeze as possible. Highly recommended all around!

I really enjoyed the kind and professional staff. I felt my visit and cleaning were thorough. Adam, the dental hygienist was extremely knowledgeable and gave great information and advice on several dental hygiene topics.

I would not trust these reviews. I had a bad experience with their Dr. Pacheco and wanting to overcharge me. He was also unethical when he tried to see me instead of referring me to an endo.

I was very satisfied with the care and concern I received at my appointment. I received a thorough cleaning. I have also noticed a flexible policy with regard to X-rays required, which I appreciate due to a condition I have.

Everyone is very courteous. Like that you are acknowledged when you walk in. Adam is also great. Very little wait time is wonderful. Really appreciated that I was able to get unexpected crown the same day as routine visit for cleaning. Adam, Dr Chin, Conner and staff were all great

Friendly staff. Love my hygienist Adam. As I rarely have any issues requiring a dentist I can't vouch for them. But it is a professionally run office.

Everyone is always so nice and polite at Santa Fe Dentistry. They know you by name the minute you walk in the door. I actually enjoy going to the dentist because they aren't just dental hygienists, their friends.
