I make every effort to treat each patient with empathy and respect. I feel the key to a good relationship with a patient is being open and honest; it is my goal to listen, communicate, and be compassionate with each individual. This enables me to provide excellent customer service and allows patients to see they are my priority. I try to go out of my way to do whatever I can to make sure patients feel important and heard; I am their advocate.I have also put together a phenomenal team that Ienjoy having in my office, as I am sure all my patients will enjoy interacting with as well. Each and every individual in this team has unique qualities that will essentially help improve the quality patient care we provide in office.

Maria is 24 years old and has been in the dentistry environment since 2018 as a hygiene coordinator. She grew up in Los Angeles and began attending UCSB in 2014 and is studying to complete her courses in Legal Studies so she can attend Santa Barbara Colleges of Law. She enjoys learning new ideas and concepts. Maria strives to be better everyday and is always open to helping our patients in any way she can. She is a strong believer in treating others with compassion and fairness. In her free time she likes to cater to her 2 year old son and go sight seeing through Santa Barbara. Her hobbies include trying new foods and engaging in activities that get her adrenaline pumping.

Dr Rai and his team are a very caring, group. They work together well, no drama, quietly, peacefully and with great quality. I called around to find a dentist to accommodate my husband's challenges and this fit the bill. They all take care of my husband's needs with compassion and sincerity. I would usually have to accompany my husband on this type of appointment and after the first visit, I don't have to. That's a sign of a compassionate environment to me. My husband felt really secure with Dr Rai and his team. Office Manager Patrick is a whiz at insurance so he's taking care of us there as well. All Greek to me, but Patrick's on it. Who really wants to go to a dentist? I can honestly say that I do because I get to go to the Santa Barbara Dental Spa. These guys are just a special group that make the usually hostile dental experience, a sympathetic and friendly one.

I had the best teeth cleaning experience last week at this dental spa, the staff, each of them are so kind, personable and amazing. The dentist Dr. B.K. Rai is by far the best dentist I've ever had. Today I had a few procedures done and because of a horrible dentist I had as a child I always need to be sedated, this dentist today not only did a thorough examination last week (which btw I've never had such a thorough mouth examination from a dentist) but for my procedures today he made me feel at ease, I'm now home and I have zero mouth pain since numbing has worn off. My mind is blown at how gentle he was with me and my mouth/teeth. I usually always have pain after dental procedures. Seriously, this is my dentist for life. I'm so so so grateful! Thank you to everyone at SB Dental Spa!

A first rate dentist and staff, professionals in every respect. Highly empathetic and caring. I've been a patient for seven years and look forward to visits to the dentist for the first time. Very nice office to boot and quite reasonable prices.

Dr Ray and his staffs are awesome. Dr. Ray is a very experience doctor, and his staffs are super helpful and friendly. The place extremely clean, peaceful, and updated with a new equipment. I have been coming here for more than 15 years. Although I live in LA, I still come here every 6 months for their service.

When I first met Dr. Rai and his staff, a few months ago (Sept. 2013), my only intention was to have my teeth examined and cleaned. I hadn't been feeling all that happy with my regular dentist. This disenchantment had led to me putting off getting my teeth cleaned and getting some necessary crown work done. How fortunate for me that Dr. Rai had put a super deal of a coupon on Groupon. I went in, met with Dr. Rai and felt instantly as though I had made one of the best decisions of my life. What a lovely and gentle man he is. His assistant and hygienist are both top notch, too. All the staff are happy and smiling. It's obvious that they like being there. The doctor showed me what other work I needed done. He explained everything thoroughly. No matter how many questions I asked, he answered each one patiently. Using a special lens and camera, Dr. Rai showed me exactly what I needed done and why. Part of the reason I had put off the necessary maintenance for my teeth is because I don't have any dental benefits/insurance. Dr. Rai offered me a special plan, where I will save 100s of dollars. Hooray! After my first visit, I had two of my family members make appointments to have their teeth cleaned and examined. They came home very happy, telling me how much they liked their new dentist. I highly recommend Dr. Rai. Don't hesitate to go in to see him. It may well be one of the best decisions of your life, too.

Dr B K Rai is the dentist for whole family. Can't expect more. He always advise right thing required for your teeth.. nothing more nothing less. Santa Barbara Dental Spa complemented by amazing dentists and support staffs. They are dedicated and always smiling also best at what they do best. I am happy with the improvement of teeth health of my family of five.

I am extremely happy with the results and my overall experience at Santa Barbara Dental Spa with Dr. BK Rai and his staff. In less than 2 hours he achieved what I thought would take multiple appointments. The work looked great there was no pain involved! I highly recommend Dr. Rai.

I have struggled for years with dental problems never really trusting Many in the dental profession, however the staff at Santa Barbara dental spa have been more than excellent and professional I would highly recommend this office to anyone friend or foe.
