As a dentist, I want to help others obtain their ideal state of oral health and smile with pride and confidence. My patients can depend on me to always make them feel comfortable and at ease while under my care. My primary goal is for every single patient to leave our office fully satisfied with their service and feeling great about themselves, their teeth, and our practice.
Dr. Smith has completed advanced training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (2003-2008, University of Michigan), Anesthesiology (2008-2009, University of Michigan), Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and the Esthetic Continuum.
Dr. Smith is a Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and the co-founder of the Foundation for Surgical Excellence, an organization devoted to educating general dentists in the medical and surgical aspects of dentistry. Dr. Smith is also a member of the Colorado Dental Association.
My team and I practice patient-oriented dentistry. Instead of simply telling you what you need, we listen to your questions and concerns with understanding, empathy, and compassion. We firmly believe in providing customized dental care that best suits the individual needs of each patient and we strive for excellence in everything we dobecause thats what you deserve. Sangre de Cristo is the most phenomenal place for dental care! I just had the most complete and all inclusive checkup with teeth cleaning that I have ever had.... and I'm 82 years old! The office staff is marvelous.... Krystal is so helpful and caring, and Bobbi (my hygienist), did a thorough and complete cleaning. My mouth has never felt so clean! The dentist was very personable and willing to chat if I wanted.... very compassionate! If you want the very best in modern equipment, this is the dental office you'll want to claim as your own! With all of this being said, it's important for me to tell you that I am always scared to go the dentist! It isn't necessarily fun, but if you want quality care from medical professionals who do an awesome job, call Sangre de Cristo!!

They were able to get me in same day and offer affordable limited exam to tell me what I needed. I needed more extensive work than in my budget but was able to get a temporary fix so problem doesn't get worse and I can be out of pain without loosing my tooth. Friendly staff all around.

I definitely found my new forever dentist. I'm always skeptical about dentist and how honest the clinics are always thinking what are they going to say i have now. But they are 100% honest and never tried to push anything. I did not sense any lies and deception, same concept with mechanic shops. I tend to jump around dentist for this reason, but you can 100% tell this is an honest dentistry. My wife and I will forever be going to this place. The staff was super friendly nice and the head main dentist was an awesome guy.

Everything was just so wonderful. I was told by two other dentists I needed all of my teeth pulled and get dentures. Dr. Eric said that was not the case and I feel so relieved. Not only is he a super cool guy but he's an awesome dentist and his staff are amazing. I'm so glad I found them. I drove all the way from Colorado Springs to see him and I will continue to do so. Top notch all the way!!

I went had an appointment here on 10/3 for tooth pain in a molar that had a silver filling. Doctor told me he didn't believe it needed a root canal. Just a build up and crown. I agreed to let him work on me and paid half up front and agreed to pay the other half at the next apt which was scheduled for 10/19 for the permanent crown. After I left the appointment, and after the numbing agent subsided the same pain came back. I went back to the office was told the temporary was too high and needed to be adjusted. To which I told him Monday was the only day I was in town and it needed to be corrected that day as I won't be able to just come back. He stated he believed the temporary crown was level and would not need anymore adjustments but would prescribe Augmentin as a precautionary due to the depth of the cavity and that I was not going to be in town. I filled the Rx. Antibiotics can take 3 days before they take effect so I continued to take them all while still having the same pain. By Friday I still had the same pain and ended up scheduling for a dentist in Trinidad to look at it and possibly adjust the temporary. After Xrays were taken the dentist stated I did in fact need a root canal and being that this office is closed Friday-Sunday I had no other option. The price for the root canal, build up, temporary crown and permanent crown was $612.72 at this dentist in Trinidad which is less than what Sangre De Cristo had charged me to clean out the "deep cavity" put a build up and a temporary crown and order the permanent crown was $625.90. As they do not fabricate permanent crowns in office they have to send out to a Lab. This morning at 10am, when they open, I called and spoke to Kayleen stating I would like to cancel the appointment as they will not be putting in a permanent crown and explained that the crown would be essentially useless as I had to have a root canal and it is likely not going to fit. She then said I would be responsible the remaining balance. I explained that I would not be paying for it as I did not receive a permanent crown and called to cancel 9 days prior which is adequate time to cancel the fabrication at the lab. She stated that they won't cancel the order. I explained that this is now upcoding and she would have to reverse the claim to my insurance as they did not put a permanent crown on and she said she could bill it like that because they sent it to the lab. I gave them the benefit of the doubt by waiting the 3 days for antibiotics to run it's course. I called with plenty of time for them to cancel the order and to cancel the appointment. I did everything a responsible patient is suppose to do and they still did not cancel the appointment. I am writing this review for documentation purposes and hopefully warrant a response from the practice manager.

This was the best experience I've ever had with a tooth extraction. Got in and out staff was pleasant and to the point. Definitely will be going back!
