The goal of Sango Smiles is to improve the lives of those we serve. We strive to provide excellent services in Clarksville, TN in Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Crystal Rucker accomplishes this by providing a fun, friendly and positive dental experience that encourages children to maintain lasting oral health and helps reduce their fear of the dentist. We will treat every patient like family. We will take the time to get to know our patients personally and deliver individualized treatment to meet their needs. Additionally, we will educate our patients on how to achieve optimal oral health, as well as continue our own education in the latest dental techniques and technologies.
Dr. Crystal Rucker is so proud to be a native of Clarksville, TN. Her military family was stationed in the area when she was 4 years old. Growing up in Clarksville helped to cultivate her personal values of love for family, support for your country, and faith in God. This great city also instilled in Dr. Rucker the importance of education. Her journey to becoming a pediatric dentist was inspired by an educational program at Clarksville High School when she was only 15 years old.
After graduating from high school, Dr. Rucker received her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Vanderbilt University and her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. She then went on to complete a General Practice Residency in Dallas, TX. After several wonderful years of employment within a pediatric dental office, Dr. Rucker was motivated to become a specialist in pediatric dentistry. She received her certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from Lutheran Medical Center in Maryland. Through her advanced training in Maryland she became proficient in the areas of child growth and development, preventative dental care, behavior management techniques, care for patients with special health care needs, oral conscious sedation, and general anesthesia. In addition to practicing dentistry for over 15 years, Dr. Rucker is also a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist through the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
When Dr. Rucker realized her desire to start her own pediatric dental practice, she knew she wanted it to be in the city that gave so much to her. She is so excited to serve the pediatric and special healthcare needs community of her Clarksville hometown through Sango Smiles Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Ruckers professional memberships include the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry, Tennessee Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Tennessee Dental Association, and Clarksvilles 8th District Dental Society.
Nicole joined the Sango Smiles family following her move from Arizona! She has been in the dental field for over 15 years and is excited to bring happy, healthy, smiles to the children of Clarksville! Nicole is always available to walk you through your child's visit, what to expect, insurance coverage and benefits, and any other questions you may have. Her positive attitude and expertise are a perfect match for our practice!
Brenna is a Registered Dental Assistant who graduated from Daymar College, and she is also part of our wonderful Front Office staff. Her gentle personality helps families feel welcome when entering our practice. She has been in the dental field for 3 years. She is a huge Ohio State University fan (GO BUCS!). In her spare time she enjoys watching superhero movies with her son and spending weekends with her family.
Abby is a registered dental hygienist who earned her degree from Tennessee State University. She was born and raised here in Clarksville, TN. Abby is very excited to be able to work within the community that she has always called home. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family kayaking, hiking, or gardening. They also enjoy traveling and exploring new places.
Lauren is a native of Toledo, Ohio. She and her family relocated to the Clarksville area 4 years ago on Military orders. In her spare time, she loves to wood work, read, and spend time traveling with family. Meeting new people and making them smile is very rewarding for her and she looks forward to meeting you and your family.
Jacqueline is a Registered Dental Assistant who graduated from TCAT ( Tennessee College of Applied Technology) in 2018. Shes originally from Shreveport, Louisiana and moved to Clarksville in 2010. In her spare times she enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, and exploring new restaurants .
Britnie grew up in Clarksville after moving here with her military family during elementary school. She graduated from Dental Staffing School of Tennessee in May of 2021. In her spare time she enjoys going to Atlanta Braves games with her daughter Taylor. It has always been a dream of hers to work in pediatric dentistry and she's so glad she gets to do that at Sango Smiles.

Dr. Rucker and her team are the very best! They are truly amazing with children and show such compassion. We are grateful to have been referred to them. You will not find a better pediatric dentist!

Highly highly recommend! I was referred here because my 5 year old needed to get surgical work done. Everyone is so nice and the office has plenty of bright fun colors. Everything was explained really well, and I had no confusion about anything that was done. If I could give a 10 star review I definitely would.

My kids absolutely loved the staff. They walked us through the building and explained everything every step of the way. They answered my questions and my kids'. They talked to my children rather than just talking through me. My kids also loved that they got to pick their flavor of toothpaste and they let them watch TV while getting their teeth cleaned.

I brought my son here for his first dentist appointment (13 months) and they were great! Staff was friendly and the atmosphere was nice.

I am so impressed with our experience here!! The doctor offered us two treatment plans to tailor to our comfort level. One plan was more conservative, and the other was more aggressive (with more guaranteed results). We took the conservative approach and greatly appreciated her providing us with both options and full information on our choices. We recently had a terrible experience at a different office, who I will not name here, after they took our $200 down deposit and refused to apply it towards future treatment because we called 3 weeks early to change the appointment. They told us we could change the appointment but we "weren't getting our money back". At this office, everyone was much more professional and courteous. We were also not under a huge amount of pressure in case the sedatives didn't take because we knew they would not do the same thing to us the previous office did. No pressure, no fear, just a nice relaxing and encouraging environment! Thank you so much!

My daughter was serviced by Dr. Rucker and her assistant, and the service was awesome! Dr. Rucker even sent my little girl a handwritten card; this shows that she cares. She and her staff exhibit such great patience for little wiggleworms. See Doc and her staff for all of your little ones dental needs! Thanks Dr. Rucker.

Everyone here is amazing!!! They have infinite patience and are so kind and understanding. My littlest one has thrown and epic tantrum at least half of the visits, but they've been so amazing and professional every step of the way. Super skilled and friendly staff. Highly, highly recommend!!! (My kids tantrums aren't in no way related to their manner, he just has days that he doesn't want anyone touching him.)

I absolutely love this place. The staff are so kind and helpful. My kids love it here they feel special with the tokens they get each visit. Every time we go if something has changed they let me know. I ended up having to do a lot more to my daughters mouth then expected, because we went on lock down for a month and her teeth did its own thing. They redid the quote and then we approved it very quickly. Even with all this madness they are working safely and calmly through the rescheduling process. Dr. Rucker is wonderful. Doesn't matter how far away I live I will make the trip because GREAT dentist are hard to find. Oh & our dental assistant was the sweetest!!! Love this place!!

We did really like this place but since the pandemic it seems we have been not been valued as a customer. My daughter has been cancelled 4 times now the last appointment was set yesterday for today and was called back the same day to say they dont have enough PPE to handle the appointment. I am now looking for a new pediatric dentist that can actually keep the appointment we make with them as I cant put this off any longer.

Great dentistry. My daughter walked in very apprehensive and a little scared but she left in such a great mood and with so much knowledge about taking care of her teeth. Its been a week and she is still gushing about her visit and is excited to go back. The staff were friendly and professional and had great energy.

I give this place 5 stars. The treatment was superb. The customer service second to none, and the atmosphere for my son was nothing less than excellent care for him. They put him at ease and ensured that his entire dental process was done timely, and with great care. I will continue to take him here time and time again when needed.

I'm sooooooo happy with Sango Smiles. It changes my daughter dentist experience. She was so afraid to go, because of her previous clinic experience. Since you walking to Sango Smile you feel a warm welcoming. They gave us a tour and they explain the procedure to my 5 year old in kids terms. They make everything fun for your kids . The assistants and the Dr. are the sweetest person ever. They send a card to my daughter after her visit.The attention to detail and greeting from this clinic it's amazing.

My 6 year old twin girls had to have several teeth pulled today and were very nervous about having dental work done. When we got to the office, their nerves were quickly put to rest due to the welcoming and warm staff. The visit went so well that the girls didn't want to leave. All of my questions and concerns were answered with ease. The girls had no pain during or even after. Dr. Rucker was amazing and her staff too! She called me after hours to check on the girls to make sure they were doing okay and to make sure they could handle food after the medication that was given to them for the procedures. I will continue to take all of my girls to Sango until they're too old to be seen there!! I highly recommend taking your kids there!

Just moved to the the area and was very nervous about finding a new pediatric dentist that would take care of our son. We had nothing to worry about! Our son was given plenty of attention by all of the staff. You can tell they love their job and the kids that they help! My son really enjoyed his visit and is excited about taking care of his teeth and can't wait to come back for his next cleaning! Thank you Monica and Dr.Rucker!

Beware of this location doing extra things that isn't necessary. You will be billed for it later. I had to pay a total of $380 for one crown and sedation was $300 for a total of $680. This is with insurance coverage. Unbelievable!!! I will not be returning here and I will advise everyone I know to stay away from this place.

We just moved to the Clarksville area and are very happy to have found a new pediatric dentist in Dr. Rucker! She was very kind and thorough. Both of the hygienists who cleaned my daughters' teeth were friendly and made the girls feel at ease. The girls were able to watch TV in the chair while having their teeth cleaned. Dr. Rucker and her staff are awesome!
