Dr. Crystal Rucker accomplishes this by providing a fun, friendly and positive dental experience that encourages children to maintain lasting oral health and helps reduce their fear of the dentist. We will treat every patient like family. We will take the time to get to know our patients personally and deliver individualized treatment to meet their needs. Additionally, we will educate our patients on how to achieve optimal oral health, as well as continue our own education in the latest dental techniques and technologies.
Dr. Crystal Rucker is so proud to be a native of Clarksville, TN. Her military family was stationed in the area when she was 4 years old. Growing up in Clarksville helped to cultivate her personal values of love for family, support for your country, and faith in God. This great city also instilled in Dr. Rucker the importance of education. Her journey to becoming a pediatric dentist was inspired by an educational program at Clarksville High School when she was only 15 years old.
After graduating from high school, Dr. Rucker received her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Vanderbilt University and her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. She then went on to complete a General Practice Residency in Dallas, TX. After several wonderful years of employment within a pediatric dental office, Dr. Rucker was motivated to become a specialist in pediatric dentistry. She received her certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from Lutheran Medical Center in Maryland. Through her advanced training in Maryland she became proficient in the areas of child growth and development, preventative dental care, behavior management techniques, care for patients with special health care needs, oral conscious sedation, and general anesthesia. In addition to practicing dentistry for over 15 years, Dr. Rucker is also a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist through the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
When Dr. Rucker realized her desire to start her own pediatric dental practice, she knew she wanted it to be in the city that gave so much to her. She is so excited to serve the pediatric and special healthcare needs community of her Clarksville hometown through Sango Smiles Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Ruckers professional memberships include the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry, Tennessee Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Tennessee Dental Association, and Clarksvilles 8th District Dental Society.
Nicole joined the Sango Smiles family following her move from Arizona! She has been in the dental field for over 15 years and is excited to bring happy, healthy, smiles to the children of Clarksville! Nicole is always available to walk you through your child's visit, what to expect, insurance coverage and benefits, and any other questions you may have. Her positive attitude and expertise are a perfect match for our practice!
Brenna is a Registered Dental Assistant who graduated from Daymar College, and she is also part of our wonderful Front Office staff. Her gentle personality helps families feel welcome when entering our practice. She has been in the dental field for 3 years. She is a huge Ohio State University fan (GO BUCS!). In her spare time she enjoys watching superhero movies with her son and spending weekends with her family.
Abby is a registered dental hygienist who earned her degree from Tennessee State University. She was born and raised here in Clarksville, TN. Abby is very excited to be able to work within the community that she has always called home. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family kayaking, hiking, or gardening. They also enjoy traveling and exploring new places.
Lauren is a native of Toledo, Ohio. She and her family relocated to the Clarksville area 4 years ago on Military orders. In her spare time, she loves to wood work, read, and spend time traveling with family. Meeting new people and making them smile is very rewarding for her and she looks forward to meeting you and your family.
Jacqueline is a Registered Dental Assistant who graduated from TCAT ( Tennessee College of Applied Technology) in 2018. Shes originally from Shreveport, Louisiana and moved to Clarksville in 2010. In her spare times she enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, and exploring new restaurants .
Britnie grew up in Clarksville after moving here with her military family during elementary school. She graduated from Dental Staffing School of Tennessee in May of 2021. In her spare time she enjoys going to Atlanta Braves games with her daughter Taylor. It has always been a dream of hers to work in pediatric dentistry and she's so glad she gets to do that at Sango Smiles.
