Dr. Jae Kim is committed to providing his patients with optimal dental care and is dedicated to always keeping abreast with the latest in the dental field, so his patients can benefit from the best treatments available. He enjoys working with people and views his relationships with his patients with a deep sense of responsibility. Dr. Kim values the importance of patient education and will always spend the needed time to explain your treatment and answer any question you may have. His goal is to treat his patients with the highest degree of skill with emphasis on patient comfort and safety. Dr. Kim received his training at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston. He has worked in Boston, MA and Maine before moving down to North Carolina.
Dr. Kim provides a full range of dental treatments including crowns that enable the restoration of dentition and beautify discolored or crooked teeth, as well as implants, bridges, and dentures to replace missing teeth. His emphasis includes preventive dentistry with the goal of detecting problems early and using treatments to correct and reverse processes that lead to dental decay, loss of tooth structure, and gum disease.
Every year, Dr. Kim devotes a significant amount of time to taking continuing education courses so he can ensure that patients receive the highest level dental care possible. Dr. Kim maintains fellowship status from The International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI).
Dr. Kim's passion to help others has led him to be involved in several missions trip. He has been to Mexico, Ecuador, and Haiti to help build churches, teach in VBS, and provide dental care to those in need.
Born and lives in Harnett Co. She is married, and has 4 children and 2 grandchildren. She graduated from Fayetteville Technical Institute in 1974 with an Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene (40+ yrs experience &16 in current practice). Hobbies include gardening, reading, watching Hallmark movies, and working out. Alsoavid sports fan especially of NC State and enjoys spending time with family.
Deborah Spivey graduated from Fayetteville Technical Community College in 1993. She began her hygiene career the same year with Dr Edrington in '93, and is now continuing to work with Dr Kim. She lives in Sanford with her husband David, and son Ethan. Her son Payton, daughter-in-law Britney, and grandson Maddox live in Texas. She enjoys spending time watching Ethan play soccer, traveling, loves Disney World, and is a self professed Starbucks addict.
Angel was born and raised in Sanford. She is married and has a daughter Anna Belle. She began her dental career in 1999 with Dr. Edrington and is now continuing (and absolutely loves) to work with Dr. Kim. She enjoys spending time with her family, cooking and baking, traveling, and anything chocolate! Angel loves how close knit our dental team is and thinks of everyone as family instead of co-workers.
Linda Sue Mari Reeves has been a Dental Assistant with Sanford Smiles Family Dentistry for just over ayear. Outside of work, she enjoys taking long nature walks and spending time with her family. 'I look forward to meeting you, and helping with all of your dental needs!'
Susan Patterson began working with Dr Edrington in 1994. She's been with the practice for more than twelve years, and now continues to work with Dr Kim. Susan has also worked as a Director of Christian Education for a few years in the past. She has one son and enjoys many crafts such as quilting and painting.

Had to goin for an emergency extraction. Dr. Kim was awesome. I hate getting a tooth pulled and this was about as good of an experience as I could have had. Will def be back.

I found a treasure chest, located at 420 W.Main street Sanford, NC. Sanford Smiles Dentistry. From the minute I step in the office I received a warm welcome and after that professional friendly fast service. The prices are not bad and they have a payment plan. The place is aptly named Sanford Smiles. Thank y'all

I just wanted to say what a great experience I had with Dr. Kim's entire office a while back. From the front desk, to the assistants, and the doctor, when I had some fillings and extractions, they were all so compassionate and the doctor did a fantastic job. He is the best! I did not feel rushed, the staff there really took their time with me to help me understand what procedures I needed and the best options for me. Thanks for helping my smile.

I have been coming here since my very first ever dentist appointment and I'm now 24. The staff here is truly amazing, and does a great job! We've tried other dentist (due to moving) and opted for making the drive to Sanford Smiles, simply because of how awesome they are at what they do.

I've been going to this office for years, Dr Edrington Sr was my first dentist. Then Jr took over. Now Dr Kim. Through the years the doctors have always taken great care of me and the staff has stayed. Ms Deborah has been my hygienist since day one and she still is now. This speaks volumes. Staff retention is one of the hardest things a business can do. They are doing it right. I came back after five years and they still knew me by name when I walked in. It truly feels safe there. They won't pressure you into anything and truly have your best interest at heart.

I drive 30 minutes so I can visit Dr Kim and his amazing staff. My family of four would not consider any other dental professional. I have always been able to be seen in timely manner when there is an *issue* (& sadly I have plenty) I never have to wait more than 5 minutes and most importantly, the care I receive is top notch and affordable. I completely trust Dr Kim and any recommendations he has had. There has never been an attempt to upsell any product or do an unnecessary procedure (always the most conservative approach first). Special shout out to the staff. Dr Kim has a great team.

The staff are absolutely wonderful and extremely friendly! I called and they saw me the next day! They even entertained my 5 month old while I was in for a visit. Recently had a root canal done and the price was very reasonable! I will definitely be a repeat customer!

First time at Sanford Smiles Family Dentistry and it was a great experience. I called for a bad toothache and got an appointment that same day. They also were able to do my root canal that same day to get rid of my tooth ache.

Fast, friendly, and professional. Called got in same day. Showed up at 1pm got x-rated, talked to dentist, and a prescription called in and was out by1:30pm. 2nd appointment there by 8am tooth pulled and out by 8:30am. Definitely be using them as my dentist from now on.
