They call a regular cleaning which they ADMITTED was JUST THAT "periodontal maintenance " in order to charge 3X AZ much! I had scaling done back in December at which time they recommended cleaning every 3 months VS 6 months which insurance covers. I waited until June to avoid paying out of pocket. When I called to make the appointment a regular cleaning was scheduled. After it was done I was presented with a bill for $98.00! I asked them if they did ANYTHING DIFFERENT than a normal cleaning. Answer was NO. I said I scheduled a REGULAR CLEANING. They said "you can't just call it something different than what we are calling it and we are calling it a periodontal follow up and you have to pay this". I refused. I continue to get bills in the mail with red past due envelopes. I called them and told them AGAIN that I'm not paying for special service that did not occur and to adjust the bill or i would find a new dentist. Girl on phone was shouting to stop me from speaking and said fine! She'd deactivate me but bill is staying on my account. NICE. Total SCAM. Reported to my insurance company and grievance filed. AVOID.

I have been going to Dr. Sandaval for years and I can truly say that he has gone through many Doctors at this office. My daughter had a lot of work done at this place and a lot of it had to be re-done because the people doing the work didn't not give the proper treatment. My daughter found out at other clinic that she had some type of gum disease and should of been on some type of preventive maintenance to help out in the past years. This facility is all about the money and making sure that you definitely have insurance. Don't go here. Waste of money and care.

Quoted from my wife, who just had three simple filings at Sandoval: "I think I've reached a new threshold of pain and misery. Oh my word. Never again!" When Dr. Sandoval is in a hurry, the staff is complaining to one another how their day is going during my wife's procedure, they don't ask her about her pain level, and give her no instructions on how to deal with the pain at home, that tells me that our family needs to go somewhere else.

I just realized I've been coming to Sandoval for over 10 years, and I don't see myself going anyplace else any time soon. Which reminds me I need to make an appointment, ha! Anyway, I was terrified of going to the dentist when I first came here, but after a few appointments I felt much more at ease. All the staff are kind and reassuring. I also used to worry that I'd be judged because my teeth haven't always been the healthiest, but all the dentists and other staff at Sandoval truly just seem to want to help me take better care of myself and I don't feel like I'm being scolded.

I have been going to Sandoval Dental for many years. Everyone here is wonderful to work with. They are super friendly and well qualified. I am a high maintenance patient with super sensitive teeth. They offer the best patient care. Tina, the office manager is also top notch. She always provides an exact itemized cost for any procedure I will have done, and her bid is right on. She contacts my insurance company ahead of time so I know exactly what amount I will be paying. Beautiful dental office, top notch service and welcoming!

Best dentist I've ever been to. Dr Emily Baker is very good at what she does. Edit: I gotta tell you, after i thawed out yesterday after a filling and a crown, which was made while i waited, I required no pain meds and ate without pain, and woke up today with no soreness or pain. Dr Emily, you are amazing at what you do. Thank you so much

I'm admittedly a bad dental patient - it's been nine years since I was last in. However, when I lost two fillings, I had to go back in - a root canal and two new crowns later, I'm good as new. I saw Dr. Elizabeth Minard three times over the course of a week, and she took great care of me, and with no sense of dental shaming, which I appreciated. I'm even heading back for regular care now (and I think my wife will be too.) Here's what was cool - I called, fully expecting to be days or weeks out for an appointment. Someone had cancelled for that day, and in I went. My follow-ups for the crowns were set three weeks out, but they offered to put me on a call list for when cancellations happen. Three appointments in six days, and done! That was awesome. Thanks much.
