Since childhood I have been interested in the medical field. I took anatomy and physiology classes in high school and college. In college I was also intrigued by family psychology and considered becoming a marriage and family therapist. Then I took a Preview into Dentistry course and discovered that my interest in Marriage, Family, and Human Development blended perfectly with dentistry.
I, and my team, strive to make everyones dental experience a positive one. I like a slower paced environment, which allows for more individual care and attention. I used to work in a busy dental clinic and did not like the herd them in, herd them out style. I want time with my patients and feel they deserve nothing less.
I enjoy seeing my patients leaving with smiles on their faces. I love hearing about their lives and whats going on. I like sharing in their accomplishments and learning about their interests. I particularly like being the family dentist I truly want to care for the whole family, from children through grandparents. I have the greatest patients and am honored to care for them.
My goal, as a dentist, is provide the best patient experience possible. Its more than just great results: its attentive, personalized care thats gentle and effective. In order to do this, I must stay current on the latest developments in technology, techniques, and materials. This ensures the most efficient and comfortable care.
Each year I complete many hours of continuing dental education. By attending seminars, lectures, and conferences, I learn from leaders in the profession. Ive completed many courses in implant dentistry, advanced material science, and patient psychology, among other topics.
My team feels like family. Ive taken great care, over the years, in building my team. I approach hiring an employee as if I was hiring a sibling. We work together and need to effectively communicate. I hope that when it comes time for me to retire, my staff is still with me.
My staff strives to treat each patient as if they are a part of the Sandia Smile Family. We want to get to know each person and are genuinely interested in their lives. The picture of us jumping in the air speaks for itself. Were full of life and love what we do!
I was born in Southern California and went to junior high and high school in Sandy, UT. Ive lived in Rio Rancho since 2007. My home is less than three miles from our office; its wonderful to work and serve the community where I live.
Ive been happily married to my best friend for more than 15 years. We met over 20 years ago, in high school, and I look forward to another fifty (or more!) years together. (My grandparents are both 93 and have been together more than 70 years!)
We have four children, two girls and two boys. They all attend local schools in Rio Rancho. The majority of the rest of my family lives out of state, but I do have a sister in Corrales. We love to get together for parties at her home.
When not working, youll usually find me spending time with my family. I love watching my kids band, orchestra, and piano concerts. I also enjoy supporting their soccer, basketball, and tennis teams, watching ballet recitals, and participating in church activities. In spite of all the busy family and church responsibilities, my wife and I make time each week for Date Night.

I enjoy helping our patients and getting to know them in the process. Everyone has their own stories to share and I love hearing about their lives. Its especially fun to see multiple generations of the same family, from the children through the grandparents. All those happy smiles! I greet patients, check them in, and schedule future visits. I also verify their insurance benefits and handle billing.
I love helping people feel comfortable at our office. Its fun to get to know everyone and their families, watching them grow and change over the years. Our patients are truly the best people and I love seeing their happy smiles when they arrive and their clean, healthy smiles when they leave. I spend a lot of my day helping patients understand and get the most from their insurance benefits. Ill fight with the insurance companies to make sure our patients get all their coverage!
I work hard to make sure each of our patients has a positive visit. Some people worry about seeing the dentist, so I take time to listen to their concerns. I reassure them that Dr. Allman is a gentle dentist and encourage and support them. A happy smile and thanks at the end of a visit makes my day. I work chairside, preparing patients and explaining what will happen. Then I support the doctor and the patient during the procedure.
I love our patients! Its a joy to build relationships with each family member and learn about their interests and lives. I focus on each persons specific oral health concerns, educating them on how they can improve their dental health and smile. I take X-rays, clean teeth, and perform scaling and root planing. Much of my time is spent teaching and encouraging patients to take control of their smiles health. I love seeing a clean, healthy, and beautiful smile at a recall visit!
I love helping our patients and making sure they have a great visit, every time. Seeing a patients smile as they come through the door and hearing their latest news is wonderful. Even better is the happiness on their face at the end of a painless visit and their thanks at making the process easy. I welcome patients, check them in, and check them out, too. I also process insurance payments and review treatment plans with patients.
I love building relationships with our patients. Each person has their own concerns and care goals. We work, together, to address those concerns and develop the healthiest, happiest smile for the patient. I clean teeth, floss and polish, and take X-rays. Much of my time with a patient is spent talking about their dental health. I explain why its important to keep their mouth clean and healthy. Then we find the home care products and processes that work for their lifestyle.

The office is so clean, & the staff is ALWAYS so kind. Dr. Allman and his lovely assistant, Erika are so wonderful, and they work so well together! Treatment is always explained throughly, and all my questions were answered, and treatment was completed THAT DAY!! WONDERFUL STAFF. Wonderful office. Wonderful appointment. Great family dentist!

I have been going here for years! They manage their time well and are always friendly. My hygienist, Tsenre, is gentle and this is important because I have sensitive teeth. Facility is spotless and exceptionally clean. I can't say enough good things about this place. Highly recommended!!

Amazing Service & Extra Gentle with the shot before a deep filling. I had a horrible experience as a teen with a dentist, so my anxiety tends to run high with dental care. Dr. Allman and his assistant Erica are exceptional! My experience was memorable in a good way. The front desk team also deserves a shout out! Grateful I finally found my dentist in Rio!

My husband is an orthodontist (dental school for 4 years in addition to 2 years of specialty training in orthodontics) and I am picky about my teeth. I have some old fillings that needed to be replaced over the years and recently had a crown done by Dr. Casey Allman. He was super gentle and concerned about my comfort throughout the process. Not only that, but check out the photo I uploaded...I bet you wouldn't have been able to guess which tooth he restored had I not circled it! The staff members are wonderful too! I highly recommend Sandia Smiles for your dental care!

Quite possibly the best dentist I've ever gone to. Everyone from the front desk to Dr. Allman himself are always so pleasant to see. If they have bad days, you can't tell by talking to them. They always smile and have a great attitude, which I imagine is tough in their industry. Also, Dr. Allman pays constant attention to the comfort of his patients. Even those with a tremendous fear of dentists will assuredly feel comfortable having Dr. Allman work on them. Can't recommend them enough!

Dr. Allman is AMAZING! I love this Dentist. Their office is very professional and Dr. Allman is a VERY conservative Dentist. I've been going there for over 5 years and I have never been pressured for services I didn't need! I recently thought I needed a crown and Dr. Allman thought I just might need a replacement filling on the tooth next to the one that I thought was bugging me...Well about a $450 savings - the filling worked! Don't hesitate to go to this office. Wonderful!

Dr. Allman and all his staff make an exceptional and honest practice. They have restored my faith in dentistry and people in it. I was in terrible pain that was caused by a new crown placed by a different dentist who kept saying it was perfect even though it felt very wrong (missing a portion of sidewall, no joke). The dentist told me the crown was perfect and that what I needed was TMJ treatment to fix my pain in my mouth. I decided to see another dentist for a second opinion, Dr. Allman. He has subsequently been able to fix all my troubles restoring my smile to looking and feeling great again. My teeth feel amazing and after so much pain I am so thankful to find an honest dentist who really just helped me and my smile get back back to normal. I can't give enough praise and thanks to him and his team who are all so amazing. Many thanks.

My family and I have been coming here now over 5 years and I have absolutely NO complaints and only compliments for this practice. We never wait long, and when my elderly mother-in-law fell and injured her teeth with no dentist, Dr. Allman fit her in and took excellent care of her. In fact, my husband who will never go to dentist has willing gone a few times to address problems because the staff and atmosphere here are wonderful.

Great dentist appointment. I've had bad experiences before at another dentist. Dr. Allman and his staff at Sandia Smiles were great. The dental hygienist was really nice and made sure I was comfortable, she did an amazing job on my teeth cleaning. The dentist was really great and answered all my questions.
