I had a tooth extraction and everyone from reception to the dental staff were friendly, professional and always made sure I was comfortable and informed. Best dentist I've had in years. Highly recommend San Juan Dental!

I went to get some cavities filled (which Dr. Smith had done a couple of years in the past no problem) but this time he refused to fill the cavities unless we took a bunch of X-rays and re-evaluated some teeth that had already been evaluated by two other dentists (they did not agree with his call to remove the tooth). I refused the x-rays and the unnecessary evaluation. He kept asking why I was there. I kept telling him to get my cavities filled. He refused to do so and said I should see a dentist who is more aligned with what I want to do. Saying that this is not how they do things here. My translation: Unless you are willing to let them run up the bill, they do not want your business. Oh yeah - go ahead and claim I'm was not a patient of yours. UPDATE AFTER RESPONSE FROM OWNER I just checked the Colorado dental board laws and I see nothing that applies to this situation, and no reference to "standard of care" at all. Very disingenuous of you to try and quote unknown laws to justify your actions. I called another dentist after you refused service and explained what happened. Specifically asking if they had any requirements like yours. They do not. Also, I don't think you know what beleaguered means.

Dr. Smith and his team are top tier with state of the art equipment and best in the 4 corners service from simple cleaning to complicated dental issues (which I've had). San Juan Dental is always professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient. We are blessed to have them in our community.

Visiting from out-of-town and was having tooth pain. This facility was able to see me promptly and Dr. Stephanie accurately diagnosed my problem. After a minor adjustment to an existing crown I was on my way...VERY pleased with the entire experience. If you coming to Pagosa from a major city anywhere else you can have confidence in this establishment!

San Juan Dental was wonderful. The Dr called me while on vacation to see how he could help my tooth ache ! I saw a dentist at his office who pulled my tooth and helped me with a plan for my teeth! All the assistants and upfront assistants were helpful. They took care of everything right away ! I no am so grateful !

This was our first visit. Great cleaning, very thorough exam. However, my wife and I have double coverage for dental insurance. Cleanings and X-rays are covered at 100%. Never in my life have I been charged for a dental cleaning. San Juan Dental not only charged us up front, they never told us that we would have to pay up front until after our cleanings were completed. Now we have to wait for the insurance company to process the charges before we can get reimbursed. Not sure we will be continuing with San Juan Dental.

I am a new patient to San Juan dental and was referred friend due to a emergency situation. As busy as they were they took me in to treat my condition. During my visit they were accurate as to pinpoint pinpoint another condition that needs your attention. Upon my visit to treat this condition I truly felt that they were considerate in their treatment, friendly and extremely accurate and considerate at the desk. A one hundred percent rating in my book thank you very much San Juan dental.

I was visiting Pagosa Springs and realized one of my crowns was loose. Called got very professional attention and an appointment for the following day. I checked in and very properly take him to an exam room or a technician and the dentist took care of my loose crown by resubmitting it. All this was done efficiently and professionally and in a friendly manner. The price was very reasonable. I can highly recommend San Juan Dental!
