Dr. Suzanne Nguyen is our board certified pediatric dentist at San Jose Dental Specialists. Dr. Suzanne Nguyen grew up in Orange County and attended UC Irvine, where she received her Bachelors of Science (BS) degree in Biological Sciences. After graduating with top honors, Dr. Suzanne continued her education at UCLA for her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. Following dental school, she then completed two years of additional post-doctoral training exclusively for children at USC School of Dentistry and Long Beach Memorial Hospital. After receiving her Advanced Pediatric Dental Certificate from USC and LBMH, Dr. Suzanne pursued further advancement in her specialty by achieving the status of Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Suzannes specialized training helps her provide the most up-to-date and extra care for a wide variety of childrens dental problems.
Dr. Suzanne encourages children to visit the dentist by the time they are a year old or when their first tooth erupts, whichever comes first. She believes in finding an individual dental home for each patient, where the ongoing relationship between the dentist and patient provides all aspects of oral health care as the child grows. These aspects include anticipating growth and development issues, diagnosing and treating oral diseases and conditions, dietary counseling, and referring to dental specialists. Dr. Suzanne is also trained and qualified in the management of child behavior and the provision of care utilizing various sedation modalities.
Dr. Suzanne is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (ABPD), member of the American Dental Association (ADA), California Dental Association (CDA), American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), California Society of Pediatric Dentistry (CSPD), and Orange County Dental Society (OCDS). In her spare time, Dr. Suzanne enjoys spending time with her husband and son. She also likes to travel and do craft projects.
Dr. Daniel Nguyen is our orthodontist at San Jose Dental Specialists. Dr. Daniel Nguyen is from San Jose and attended UC Davis, where he earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biochemistry. Immediately following college, Dr. Daniel relocated to Southern California to attend UCLA School of Dentistry where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. After dental school, he completed a General Residency Program at West Los Angeles Veterans Affair Hospital, worked in private practices, and a clinical restorative instructor at UCLA.
Although he really enjoyed the art of general dentistry, Dr. Daniel wanted to follow his true passion in orthodontics. He returned to UCLA and completed a three year post-doctoral training in orthodontics and also earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Oral Biology. He worked for a well known orthodontist in Southern California for a few years before he decided to move back to San Jose to open up his own office.
Dr. Daniel is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), California Dental Association (CDA), American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists (PCSO), and his local chapter dental society. When he is not working with the patients, Dr. Nguyen enjoys the outdoors with his family, including hiking, swimming, and traveling around the world. He is also interested in photography, computer technology, and always keeps his eyes on the latest gadgets.

Our family are still maintaining COVID precautions, so it was such a pleasant relief to see how this dental office is still prioritizing the health of their staff AND their patients by continuing COVID-cautious policies! All staff members were wearing masks, social distancing was maintained, and all the equipment and patient furniture were cleaned and sanitized between patients. It makes me feel sooo much better and safer to know that my daughter's dentist values the health and safety of her patients! The staff were all so wonderful and friendly, and did a great job helping my daughter feel at ease during her cleaning. Keep up the great work!

This review is way overdue. My daughter and son have been going to San Jose Dental Specialists for about six years now. Both my children receive checkups and cleaning with Dr. Suzanne, and my son received braces from Dr. Daniels. His teeth are now absolutely perfect. Every time we visit, we're greeted from the ladies at the front desk as well as the assistants in the back. All the ladies are very sweet, very attentive and charismatic. I have the upmost respect and gratitude for Dr. Daniel's, Dr. Suzanne and the entire staff. They have not only taken care of my offsprings dental needs, but have watched them grow up and treat us all with kindness. We started going to both Dr. Suzanne and Dr. Daniel few years ago and we couldn't be more happier with the service they provided. They are both nice and fun to talk to during my kids' visits. The office is super clean and the staff our professional and friendly. Rita is the best!

When most people think of a dentist, the image of a stern, scary man holding various sharp tools might come to mind. This is the exact opposite of what one encounters upon entering SJ Dental Specialists. Dr. Daniel and the staff were all very friendly and definitely made each of my visits feel worthwhile. Everyone was super attentive to my needs as a patient and always seemed to enjoy interacting with the patients - a vital component of any happy and successful clinic. Throughout my entire time there, I was at ease and even enjoyed my routine check-ups. I came in to have my teeth straightened out and could not be happier with the result. I am truly grateful for all their help! If you ever need your teeth cleaned or straightened, there is no better place than SJ Dental Specialists!

My kids are always excited to know they have an upcoming dental appointment, and on the day of, they are super excited. Woke up early today to get ready to go so that's really saying something. The staff here is always friendly, patient. The front desk receptionists are superb, willing to work with you regarding appointments, etc. The dental hygienists are gentle and take their time in cleaning and addressing any concerns. Dr. Suzanne has always been superb, patient, and explains and answers questions thoroughly. SJ Dental Specialists is our best find and look forward to going there for the kiddos throughout the years.

My daughter has been seeing Dr Suzanne since she was two. The staff members are super nice and patient. It's easy to schedule and reschedule appointments. They are patient when they have to retake xray images since it's hard for my daughter to bite tight on tools. The office is well-equipped and follow pandemic protocols strictly. Dr Suzanne is skillful and knowledgeable. She's carefully and detailed and very friendly with kids. I highly recommend the office for pediatric dental.

Dr. Daniel and his team were great!! Every time I walked in they were very welcoming and greeted me like I was family. Like so many, I'm not a fan of the dentist but they made me feel comfortable! After 2.5 years of treatment(slight delay because of covid), I am soo happy with my smile. My family has mentioned I smile all the time now!! Highly highly recommend!!!

I have been taking my kids to see Dr Suzanne for the past 10 years. Her knowledge and bedside manner are amazing and her staff are very compassionate and knowledgeable as well. I feel truly blessed to have her care for my kids... and they have never had a cavity. She also has a second location in San Jose too... my heart is happy that her practice has grown so much. Awesome dentist! Highly recommend her practice!

My kids have been going to San Jose Dental Specialists ever since they've had teeth and we have never received anything but stellar service from them. The office is always very clean, the entire staff is so friendly, they treat you like family and Dr. Suzanne takes great care of the kids. She's knowledgeable and always explains the procedures to the kids so they feel comfortable. My older son recently got braces really enjoys being seen by Dr. Daniel, he makes him laugh and ensures my son is ready and comfortable every step of the way. Although San Jose Dental specialist is not in a convenient location from my home, I wouldn't consider switching since the staff has been nothing but great to my children and I. Highly recommend them!

Dr. Daniel and his team are amazing! From the lovely ladies at the front to the dental assistants in the main office, they really just make you feel welcomed and at ease. I was referred by a family member to this office, and it was the best decision to receive care for my orthodontic needs from Dr. Daniel. Dr. Daniel is beyond competent in his area of speciality, explaining the natural progression of treatment as well as treatment interventions- best part is, in a human friendly language. He truly cares for his patients, and would definitely recommend to friends and family.
