No matter what sort of work is being done, the doctors always keep patients informed and do everything in their power to make each encounter surprisingly pleasant. We always think of them first, Dr. Nakashima says. Were up front with everything we do so the patient knows exactly whats going on. So even if a patient walks in apprehensive about their surgery, the doctors alleviate as much of the pain as possible so he or she can walk out as content as Ashley. Were here for our patients and want them to have the best experience they can have, Dr. Briggs says. Nobody is ever happy to see us, but we dont take it personally.

Dr. Briggs is a native Texan, born in Austin. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of Texas-Houston Dental Branch in 1998. During this program she also earned her Medical Degree at the University of Texas Houston Medical School. She is a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honors Society.

I went to have a wisdom tooth pulled and on the way I had a flat the receptionist was amazing she came and picked me up and when I was done took me back to my car. Dr. Briggs was extremely nice talked me through every thing. They even still squeezed me in since I was running late due to the flat. Amazing thank you guys for being amazing!

OUTSTANDING! Dr. Nakashima is awesome!! ZERO PAIN! and I do mean ZERO! Didn't even feel the numbing injections. I was totally relaxed the minute I meant the Doctor. After the wisdom tooth was out, no problems at all :) Staff was excellent & very caring. 5 GOLD STARS!

Had my Wisdom teeth taken out about 2ish weeks ago! They were super awesome and accommodating. They scheduled me as soon as I called and got me in the next day for my surgery. I have healed up nicely and had no issues after the surgery. They were very nice and when I felt anxious and nauseous they turned on a fan and helped me work through it to being comfortable. 10/10 experience go here for whatever you need! :)

I am not sure why this place of business does not have 5 stars! I was referred to San Gabriel Oral after seeing my dentist at Castle Dental. And boy, they did not disappoint. At first we got off to a rocky start because I did not receive a call and had to follow up several times. Later found out their front desk lady had resigned who was working on my account. I called in the day before my wisdom teeth extraction to see if I could get a ballpark number of how much my co-pay would be at time of service. April was great, she called me back before they closed and notified me that my insurance would be covering 90% so that was a pleasant surprise for me! Fast forward to the day of extraction. From the moment I stepped into the office every interaction I had was warm and welcoming. Even when I had my 30 min consultation with Dr. Briggs she was very informative, empathetics and even kind hearted. She helped put my dental anxieties to rest. Added bonus that I received a personal phone call the evening of my extraction from Dr Briggs checking on me. Great customer service and genuine people here. Couldn't recommend this place of business more!

My experience was amazing. Dr. Briggs answered all of my questions and made sure I was comfortable before the procedure. She went over options in detail and recommendations as well. I was a nervous wreck beforehand yet everyone was so patient. I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed on yesterday and I'm in no pain at all, just starving. The entire staff was amazing and I'm beyond thankful that I was able to have such an amazing team during my time here!

My son had all 4 wisdom teeth extracted last week. It was easy to get an appointment and the office was very efficient. Dr. Briggs met us before she got started and answered all of our questions. He was done in about 45 minutes and has had minimal pain. Dr. Briggs even followed up with a phone call that night. Highly recommend this practice

This business does not conduct itself in a professional manner at all. Just tried to get an extraction of a broken tooth scheduled. First, you have to see the doctor which will take a month. Then another appointment for the extraction must be made, but here's the thing. They can't say how long you will have to wait for the second appointment. So if you have a need for service without waiting God knows how long, stay away from this place. The management is obviously unorganized and they don't even try to be helpful. It was like being told to fork over the money and then we will decide when we will see you. Very Unhelpful. I've never seen such poor customer service.

My four year old son fell and hit his face causing his upper jaw to fracture during a camping incident this past Saturday at 5pm. My wife immediately took him to Dell Children's Hospital, and a phone call was made out to Dr Briggs. Dr Briggs advised that we could just call on Monday morning to be seen that day, but after consulting with other dentists and getting other opinions, we were advised that he should've never left the hospital without a scan or having his jaw set. We ended up returning to Dell Children's and were greeted with anger and frustration at us coming back. The on call surgeon at that time was Dr Harris, but since Dr Briggs had been on call the day before, they refused to let Dr Harris work the situation even though they were answering calls at that time. They did end up performing a CT scan that confirmed that the jaw was fractured and once again released us without doing anything since Dr Briggs wanted the jaw to not be set before performing work on it Monday morning. We were once again given instructions to call Monday morning. Dr Briggs' assistant repeatedly put our calls on hold when trying to call this morning, and we waited on hold for 40 minutes on the first call. The assistant answered the call by saying, "Hi, thanks for calling, I'm going to put you on hold." and immediately placing us on hold. This happened multiple times until our calls were just rejected. We were never spoken to by this office outside of through Dell Children's and the visits there. I am sorely disappointed by the professionalism of this office, and I am saddened by the fact that we spent so much time trying to get in touch with them only to be ignored. We are definitely taking our business elsewhere.

I've only given 1 other rating like this. Dr Nokishima is amazing! I have a phobia of dentists and he totally exceeded any expectation I had! He was a referral from my Endodontist and I gave him a chance. I had 0% pain during and after my visit for a molar removal. IV and sedation were costly, but well worth every penny. After surgery I was waiting for the pain to begin and it never occurred!!!! He is personable, he listens to patients and made a person call to follow up after surgery, impressive! His office is clean, staff responsive and timely with responses. An exemplary business and staff overall. So thankful to have met his acquaintance.

I would like to recognize San Gabriel O&M for their truly outstanding professionalism and quality services. I find Dr Nakashima an exceptionally skilled Oral Surgeon with a truly outstanding regard for his patients. He clearly explained the issues that I faced, offered all of my options, and gave me a sound and logical opinion of which option I would probably be happiest with, going forward. And he was absolutely correct! I have yet to find a better experience among his peers and I would recommend anyone in need of an oral surgeon to him. I understand that his partner is of equal professionalism and very similar qualities and skill sets. The San Gabriel staff are highly professional, warm, and make you feel like family. This is a truly exceptional business and I am glad to offer my most sincere recommendation!

Central Texans, I write this for you. I'd rather take a beating than go to a doctor and I'd rather live with the pain than have surgery . Thanks to my loving wife I just did both, I went to the doctor and had oral surgery. Wow ! it wasn't bad at all. Dr. Nakashima and his funny sidekick Crystal made it safe, simple and much less painful than I had originally imagined. Top Notch Covid-19 Precautions with little to no wait for the doctor. A Texas Ranch House with conventional lighting has you relaxed moments after walking in. A pleasant drive to Georgetown saves the stress of big city traffic. Kudos Dr Nakashima , your well thought out office and location had the desired effect on me.

The experience was night and day. I highly recommend San Gabriel Oral and would not hesitate to visit again. Thanks doc! -Chris Lohman Update: Dr Briggs went above and beyond and even called to check up on me post op.. Outstanding!

The staff was informative and professional. The surgeons answered all of my concerns prior to removing all wisdom teeth. I also asked for sedation which was provided and made things a bit easier to cope with.

I came here after being sent away by 2 hospitals and 1 dental surgeon. I was in EXTREME pain from a cyst , and was seen immediately and treated. The staff was also kind, I believe my doctor was Dr. Briggs

My 17yo son had a wisdom tooth coming in sideways. His dentist office quoted us a price at a consultation but then referred us out to an oral surgeon because of concerns about the nerve being too close to the root of the sideways tooth. After some issues with the oral surgeon we were initially referred to, I found San Gabriel Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. I called and spoke with them on the phone and received a quote that was considerably less than what my dentist was going to charge. Their office staff are friendly, professional, and competent. The surgery was this morning. We were greeted and taken back promptly. Everyone in the office we had contact with was great and the surgery went well. The kid is now home recovering and I am GRATEFUL to everyone at San Gabriel Oral Surgery. You guys are awesome. Thank you. Follow up edit to review: one month after wisdom teeth extraction--kiddo healed up great and post surgery follow up at the office was just as nice as the first. If you need an oral surgeon, call here first.
