Dr. James VandeBerg grew up in San Antonio and is a graduate of Clark High School. He received his bachelors degree at Texas A&M University in 2001, and four years later he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas. After dental school, Dr. VandeBerg continued his education for three years at Saint Louis Universitys prestigious Orthodontic Program where he received his Masters degree in Orthodontics.

Dr. VandeBerg is privileged to be married to his loving wife, Lauren, and to be the dad to his three children, Clayton, Suzanne, and Charlotte. Dr. VandeBerg is a resident of Fair Oaks Ranch and spends time with his family, hunting, cheering on the Aggies, and volunteering at his kids elementary school. While supervising treatments at San Antonio Orthodontics,Dr. VandeBerg is thrilled to be impacting people in his own community through his orthodontic efforts and community outreach by the office.

Dr. Marilena Parodi was born in the beautiful capital of Honduras, she comes from a very close knit family of five whom she loves dearly. Family is a top priority in her life. Her love for orthodontics comes from her mother, who is a practicing Orthodontist in Honduras.

Dr. Parodi earned her dental license in 2015 and obtained her postgraduate degree in Orthodontics from University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio (UTHSCSA). She comes highly recommended by senior orthodontists at UTHSC.

Originally from Venezuela, Dr. Alfonso obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, DDS in 2003 (UGMA). His interest in orthodontics turned into a passion for providing stunning smiles and watching the impact of such changes in the patients confidence and self-esteem. He then received his Diploma in the Specialty of Orthodontics and Maxillofacial Orthopedics in 2006 from the Technological University of Mexico, (UNITEC). Dr. Alfonso then returned to his home country, Venezuela to devote himself to private practice and in 2014 Dr. Alfonso and his family decided to relocate to the US to start a Fellowship in Orthodontics at the University of Florida in Gainesville, where he got the chance to update his knowledge and experience in new techniques and technologies like the use of Clear Aligner Therapy and the use of Cone Beam Computed Tomography in surgical planning of patients needing Orthognathic surgeries.

In 2016 Dr. Alfonso was accepted into the Orthodontic Residency Program at UF and in 2018 obtained his second Certificate in Orthodontics. The journey continued to San Antonio where along with his wife, Angie, and their sons Juan Pablo and Mateo, they found an amazing city that provides countless opportunities to explore and enjoy a family-friendly environment with great people waiting to welcome them. When Dr. A. has some free time outside of the office, he and his wife are finding outdoor activities to drain JPs and Mateos endless energy.
