Dr. Ben Samuelson earned his Bachelor of Science degree at Auburn University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He then attended the University of Alabama School of Dentistry, earning his Doctorate of Dental Medicine. While in dental school, he was the president of his dental class and received numerous awards, including the Deans Medal. The Dean's Medal is known as the most coveted honor presented to a member of the graduating class, personally selected and presented by the Dean.
Upon graduation, Dr. Ben was awarded the Alumni Leadership Award and was also inducted into the OKU national honorary dental fraternity. From there, he continued at the University of Alabama School of Dentistry, where he completed his orthodontic residency program, served as chief resident, and earned his Masters of Science in Orthodontics. The residency program includes advanced education in biomedical, behavioral and basic sciences, giving Dr. Ben the complex skills required to manage tooth movement (orthodontics), guide facial development (dentofacial orthopedics), understand facial surgery (surgical orthodontics) and diagnose and treat many other problems related to the head and neck. Dr. Ben then went on to become a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Ben maintains professional memberships in the American Dental Association, American Board of Orthodontics, American Association of Orthodontists, and Southern Association of Orthodontists. He enjoys attending continuing education courses and staying up-to-date on the newest advancements in orthodontics.
Dr. Ben feels strongly about giving back to his profession and community. Since graduating, he has continued his affiliation with University of Alabama School of Dentistry, where he serves as volunteer faculty to dental students and residents in the orthodontics residency clinic. Dr. Ben enjoys volunteering at school events and participating in sponsorships to support patients and their families within the community.

Dr. Ben and his wife, Mallory, live in Hoover, and while they do not have any children, they have a dog named Bella who is currently filling that role! Dr. Ben enjoys woodworking and spending time with family and friends. He is also an avid sports fan and loves coaching youth sports.

Dr. Samuelson is treating my son. We have been beyond impressed with the experience so far. From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed, the atmosphere was positive and fun. My old orthodontist installed my permanent retainer incorrectly. I lived with a broken wire and globs of glue stuck to the back of my teeth for years. Within 20 minutes Everything was rectified and I had a night retainer being made before I left. Great Business, great staff, couldn't really ask for much more.

My goodness. This place was a dream. Staff is fantastic, courteous, and prompt in all communication. But that's all a secondary reason I'm giving 5 stars. The main reason is my teeth look fantastic. I was always self conscious about my crooked teeth and now I move through the world with my chin held a little higher. That may not be everything but it means a lot to me.
