Dr. Samuels is a graduate of the University of Maryland at Baltimore, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. A native of Norfolk, Virginia, Dr. Samuels earned his degree as a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 1998 and completed his General Practice Residency at Miami Veterans Hospital Center in 1999. Dr. Samuels began practicing in the Montgomery County area in 1999. He opened his Rockville, Maryland based practicein 2004 and is licensed to practice dentistry in Maryland, Washington, D.C. and Florida. Dr. Samuels enjoys tennis, hockey,musicand traveling.
AFFILIATIONS/LEADERSHIP Passionate about improving oral health, Dr. Samuels is active in the dental community and in setting standards for dentistry. He is a member of American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, the American Association of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of Sports Dentistry and the Maryland State Dental Association. He has served asPresident of the Washington, DC Chapter of the Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity, where he has alsoserved as Continuing Education Chair, Treasurer, and Historian. As a student, Dr. Samuels was elected by his peers to serve as International Student Officer on the Executive Board of Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity, representing all member students throughout the world.
CONTINUING EDUCATION Education is profoundly important to Dr. Samuels, the education of his patients (explaining procedures as he performs them) as well as his own. To that end, Dr. Samuels takes upwards of 50 hours of Continuing Education classes each year, exceeding dental board requirements. He recognizes that dentistry is an ever-evolving science and seeks to further his knowledge to help treat his patients using state-of-the-art techniques and equipment to bring the best quality of service to his patients.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH Dr. Samuels is passionate about oral health and dental care for all. He has traveled to clinics in the Dominican Republic to bring dental health to those in need and where care is completely unavailable. He is an advocate for custom-fitted sports mouthguards for children, helping teams with education to maximize protection, comfort and performance with properly fitted mouthguards. Dr. Samuels volunteers each year for the Maryland Mission of Mercy, helping serve thousands of patients who would otherwise not be able to afford routine and surgical dental care. He actively donates time and services to treat members of theAlpha Omega-Henry Schein Holocaust Survivors Program, as well as speical need patients in Montgomery County. Dr. Samuels also previously served 3 years on the Washington Capitals Season Ticket Holder Advisory Board.

I dropped into dr Samuels' office unexpectedly due to circumstances in an emergency. The level of care shown to me from the moment I stepped though the door and as part of aftercare is extraordinary. I felt confident in Dr Samuels expertise and assured the care plan he provided was the best possible. He and all of his staff was open, supportive and gentle both to my sore mouth and my broken ego of loosing a tooth. Dr Samuels explained all the options and the possible consequences. His advice was based on what was best for me and not what was convenient. I was not pressured into choosing one solution over the other. He dealt with me as I was a long standing patient even though I just fell into his office. He dedicated time to me that wasn't scheduled, walked me through everything he was doing and checked in with me to make me as comfortable as possible. I highly recommend his practice and very grateful for the treatment I have received!!! Great professional and very caring person. Thank you Dr Samuels and the entire crew!

Anya is great, they have the most advanced tech, and the Dentist, Jay, was thorough, detail oriented, and I did not feel rushed. The level of sophistication of their analysis is cutting edge. I have never seen this level of dental care and understanding, and there was no wait.

They were able to get me in the next day on emergent notice. Everyone was very friendly, kind, and professional. Dr. Samuels was very thorough and explained a plan of care for me going forward. I don't usually like dentists, but I think this office is awesome, clean, and works well for me. I will definitely recommend these guys to anyone who needs a great dentist. Follow up- after several visits, I highly recommend this practice. Professional and thorough, they have really made me comfortable and confident in their care.

Everyone who works at Dr. Samuel's office is really nice and welcoming and efficient. Tina, a hygienist is very thorough and takes her time with you. And I can't say enough about Dr. Samuels who is an artist of the teeth. People who don't know me ask me who my dentist because of my veneers!
