Dr. Sheng earned her Doctorate degree in Dental Medicine at the Boston University School of Dental Medicine with high honors. She also received the one-year advanced postgraduate education in general dentistry at the University of Rochester Eastman Dental Center. Dr. Sheng is the Clinical Assistant Professor at Boston University School of Dental Medicine and has taught there since 2011.
She has received many awards for her professional performance, including the Dr. Remo Sinibaldi Award from the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine. That award was for her outstanding achievement in fixed and removable prosthodontics, crowns, bridges and dentures.
Dr. Sheng has been practicing dentistry for fifteen years. Her interests and skills ranges from restorative, cosmetic, surgical, to endodontic treatment modalities. With her gentle nature and over ten years of clinical experience, Dr. Sheng is happy in delivering high quality dental care, and in creating healthy, beautiful smiles for her patients.

My husband and I and our two kids recently started as new patients at Samoset Family Dental and I had to come here to wrote a glowing review. First Debbie is always so helpful in getting our many appointments scheduled. The office is clean, quiet and professional but most important...They have been WONDERFUL with my kids (ages 5 and 3). In particular, when my son unfortunately needed a cavity filled - our experience was EXCEPTIONAL. It was painless for him, not at all traumatic and the staff was all so great! He LOOKS FORWARD to the dentist which as a parent is so great. Thank you to Samoset Family Dental!

I had a dental emergency yesterday and my regular doctor (former doctor now; I wasn't too happy with them to begin with) couldn't accommodate me. I searched online and after contacting 20 or even 30 places I have finally reached Debbie at Samoset Family Dental in Plymouth and they could finally see me. Dr. Sheng did everything perfectly and what can I say? Even though it's about an hour drive one way for me I am switching to Samoset Family Dental! Recommended!

Not a patient and needed an emergency root canal on a Saturday. They fit me in, completed the procedure, and were kind and excellent at explaining the process. My experience there was also the first time a dentist has offered to check on and give me the cost of the procedure before beginning the job, which I appreciated. I'm considering switching dentists because I had such a great experience.

Thank you Dr. Sheng and Mac for the most wonderful experience during my root canal!! Not only was it painless, it was incredibly precise to the fraction of a millimeter!! If a root canal can be beautiful, this one definitely is! No more pain, at all...and I fell asleep during the procedure :) Thank you for taking wonderful care of my family!!

I just had another cleaning by Angelica, wonderful job, the staff and Dr. Sheng very knowledgeable warm and friendly, if you could say it a Joy to go to the Dentist, not many can say that.

Dr. Sheng is so knowledgeable and has such a gentle touch. I have had a lot of dental work done and she is by far, the best dentist I have had. The rest of the staff is great too; love Riley, Debbie, and Mac!

I am new to the area and did not have a dentist yet. I ended up with an abscessed tooth on Saturday and was in a lot of pain. I found them thru a google search and lucky for me they have Saturday hours. I called and explained my situation and they had me come in right away. Very happy with my treatment and grateful they took me right in even though I was not a patient. Needless to say I have found my new Dentist!

Great experience at Samoset dental ! I need cleanings more often than other people. Normally I except some pain and discomfort with having my teeth cleaned. But this time with Hygienist Christine Lyons I felt nothing at all ! It was a completely pleasurable and informative experience. As well I drove an hour out of my way because I was recommend to the practice! More than worth the trip . Kk

Mary Provonche recommends Samoset Family Dental, PC I have always feared the dentist, (I am from the "white knuckle" generation). I felt so at ease at SFD, everyone in the office was kind, compassionate and genuinely caring. I had a problem tooth and called on a Friday. The office was closed but Dr. Sheng returned my call anyway and said she could see me the following day. I was so impressed by her and her staff. I have found a dental office for keeps after many years of jumping from dentist to dentist with less than satisfying results. I highly recommend Samoset Family Dental .

Where has Dr.Shang been all my life!! In my 60's, haven't had good experiences when it comes to dentists. Had my first root canal recently, Dr.Shang was amazing, the procedure was a breeze. I witnessed a true professional at work. I walked out of her office in disbelief that I just had a pain free root canal procedure. It was the best experience that I ever had regarding a procedure so complicated. I THANK Dr.Shang with all my heart for her kindness, her staff, and the outstanding professional that she is.

Great dental practice. They have never tried to over-sell me procedures. There is a chain of dental offices that told me I needed extensive extremely expensive procedures done. Although, every time I went there, I was told I needed a different procedure than the time before. Samoset Family Dentist has never done this to me, in fact they have tried to save me money on several occasions. The entire staff is wonderful. I like the fact that they have extended Saturday hours as well. Highly recommend this dental practice.

I had a toothache late on a Friday night, by morning the pain had substantially worsened. I called my dentist, who's never available & every "emergency" dentist in the area. Nobody was open. Finally call SFD & they answer, make me a same day appointment, but don't take my insurance. I paid cash for an exam, with an X-ray & a prescription antibiotics & ibuprofen & it was AFFORDABLE. They could have taken advantage of the situation, the pain was unreal, but they were amazing! Everyone in the office was so very kind. They were able to diagnose me quickly, which helped me get the pain under control! Would 100% recommend over & over again!

Quickly fit me in the schedule for an unexpected broken front tooth emergency. Dr. Sheng and Rylee are a great team! Very reassuring and professional. They explain everything they are doing while working on you. I was asked many times if I was comfortable. So gentle I didn't even need novocaine. End result ... pure artistry! HIGHLY RECOMMEND
