Dr. Frederick H. Sammons' daughter Maggie joined the practice in May of 2011. Maggie is a graduate of Huntington High School and attended the University of Kentucky for undergraduate school. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2008 and her Master's degree in orthodontics from West Virginia University in 2011.
Dr. Adamsis the past President of the Huntington Dental Society and West Virginia Association of Orthodontists. She is a member of the Southern Association of Orthodontists, American Association of Orthodontists, West Virginia Association of Orthodontists and the Huntington Dental Society. The foundation of her treatment philosophy is based on Andrews' Six Elements of Orofacial Harmony.
Dr. Adams is active in various civic organizations, has lectured to local community groups, and regularly attends continuing education seminars. She serves as a board member for the Marshall Artist Series and has recently joined the cleft lip and palate team at Cabell Huntington Hospital as their consultant for orthodontics.
Dr. Sammons graduated from Huntington High School and attended the University of Kentucky for undergraduate school. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from West Virginia University and as a graduating dental student, was elected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society.
Upon graduation, Dr. Sammons worked in the Prosthodontic Department at the West Virginia University Dental School as an instructor. After teaching full time, he entered the Graduate Program of Orthodontics at West Virginia University, receiving his Master's Degree in the dental specialty of Orthodontics in 1980. Since graduation, Dr. Sammons has practiced orthodontics in the Huntington, Barboursville, and Teays Valley area for almost 40 years.
Dr. Sammons is a member of the Southern Association of Orthodontists, American Association of Orthodontists, WV Association of Orthodontists, and Huntington Dental Society. He is also a past president of both the Huntington Dental Society and the West Virginia Orthodontic Association.

My daughter is a Marshall University student and lost both her retainers. We live in Philadelphia and the Sammons Adams staff went above and beyond to get our daughter into the office and replace her retainers. Thank you for your caring and professionalism.

My son Kameron has been coming here for 4 yrs and this is ny far the best Orthodontist in the Tri State. They go above and beyond to make sure everything is correct and that we are informed about what they are doing and what to expext. All the staff are friendly and wonderful woth the patients. The office is clean and very comfortable. I'm so glad we chose this Orthodontist, we are very happy with them and our experience this far.

Sammons and Adams Orthodontics is an excellent establishment. As a general dentist in the area, I have been referring my patients and friends to this office for several years. The staff is very friendly, warm and accommodating to the patients. Dr. Adams has been trained extremely well in the latest developments and treatment options available today. Dr. Adams takes into account not only the orthodontic treatment needs but also the overall oral health needs of each of her patients. The staff exhibits a great ability to mix a warm family friendly environment with high professionalism. Highly recommended!

Both of my daughters got their braces and the treatment that followed at Sammons Adams Orthodontics. It was such a positive and easy experience that my younger daughter has now decided that she would like to be an orthodontist when she grows up.
