Dr. Samir Batniji has many years of experience in the dental field and has been a practicing Endodontics since 1987. After graduating from dental school in 1976, he practiced general dentistry for 8 years and then pursued his graduate training. In 1987, Dr. Batniji earned his certificate in Endodontics from the University of Southern California. Dr. Batniji also earned his Master of Science in Education from USC where he continues to serve as a Clinical Associate Professor in the surgical sciences department section of Endodontics. He also serves in several committees at the USC School of Dentistry.
Dr. Batniji and his associates are members of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the American Association of Endodontists to name a few. Dr. Batniji is also a member of the Southern California Academy of Endodontists where he served as the past president from 1995-1996.
Dr. Raaed Batniji has been involved with endodontics since he was in high school which was when he began dental assisting under the mentorship of his father, Dr. Samir Batniji. That was essentially the beginning of the apprenticeship that led him to this profession, one degree at a time. Dr. Batniji obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Boston University in 2006. He practiced general dentistry until 2010, then joined the Endodontic Residency Program at the University of Southern California and obtained his certificate in Endodontics in 2013.
Since 2007, Dr. Raaed Batniji has been a clinical faculty member in the Doctor of Dental Surgery program at the Ostrow School of Dentistry at USC. He is responsible in supervising and maintaining coverage of dental students in the Urgent Care Dental Clinic and in training and providing instructions to the doctoral students in the Endodontic clinic.
Dr. Duhli Chen received his undergraduate degree from the University of California Irvine, with his bachelors in Psychology and minor in Business Management. His education prepared him for attending dental school at the University of Southern California, and also his advanced education and certificate in Endodontics.
Dr. Chen has always been interested in the healthcare field and dentistry offered everything he was looking for; a field that allowed him to apply healthcare and business knowledge into a career. He wanted to pick a specialty that really challenged him. Endodontics allowed him to do that by resolving disease and difficult dental problems. Dr. Chen is a member of the AAE, CDA, and Orange County Dental Society. He enjoys surfing, swimming, snowboarding, and running. He has a lovely wife Jennifer, and two beautiful children.
Dr. Nermine Batniji began her journey at a young age when she would visit her father at his endodontic practice. While too young to grasp the intricacies of the practice, treating patients made a lasting impression on her.Dr. Batniji attended UC Irvine and graduated with a bachelors degree in Economics. She worked for a Nobel Laureate performing atmospheric research prior to attending the University of Southern California dental school. Following the completion of her bachelors in Dental Hygiene and 4 year Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, she attended USCs Advanced Endodontic residency. Her appreciation for teaching and education led her to be part time faculty in the clinical Periodontics and Endodontics department at USC. She served a 4 year term as a representative on the American Dental Education Association where she was the voice of her peers on the future of dental education on a national level.
Dr. Batniji sat on the ethics committee, as well as the student professional performance evaluation committee, and is committed to providing her patients with the highest quality and standard of care. One of Dr. Nermine Batnijis greatest passions is serving those in need. She is committed to providing care to patients both locally and internationally by volunteering endodontic treatment to underserved communities in California and around the world from Southeast Asia to Central America. Dr. Nermine Batniji believes it is in endodontics that we are able to save teeth that can be beautifully preserved, while not only relieving the pain, but also treating the pathology through endodontic therapy. During her free time, Dr. Batniji enjoys traveling, skiing, and spending time with her family and friends.
Dr. Reuben Johnson graduated from USC Dental School in 2012 and received his Certificate in Endodontics from the Ostrow School of Dentistry at the University of Southern California. Between finishing dental school and starting his endodontic program, Dr. Johnson completed two General Practice Residencies in New York with focus on emergency dental care and surgery, and dental implant restorative. He then went on to work in private practice as a general dentist and taught part-time as a volunteer at the Emergency Dental Clinic at USC.
Dr. Johnson has received multiple academic scholarships and has been involved in many organizations and associations. Ayuda, a dental humanitarian organization, allowed him to travel for the purpose of providing dental care to underserved children in countries like Belize and Panama. He served on the emergency response team at USC School of Dentistry and he was a past president of his dental fraternity, Delta Sigma Delta.
Dr. Johnson loves spending time with his family and with his wife, who is also a dentist. He enjoys watching movies and working out. His interests include traveling, playing golf, architectural design and trying new food experiences. Dr. Johnson is thorough and has a meticulous attention to detail. When asked what is one of his strengths he admits, I work very hard at paying close attention to detail for accuracy to make sure things are done the right way.

Several years back I had a root canal done by Dr. Batniji and he did a great job. Recently several monts ago I went back to see Dr. Batniji to get a second opinion about saving a molar and this time his daughter Dr. Nermine Batniji saw me and gave me an honest evaluation about what could be done. I proceeded with the root canal and it was exceptional what she she did on saving my molar. It is crowed and doing a great job. I will return back if I need another root canal because Dr. Batniji has hands of gold. I did not feel any pain.

Dr. Nermine Batniji and all the staff are amazing! They always greet you with a smile and are attentive to all your needs. I had a root canal done and she made the process very smooth and painless. She takes her time and is such a perfectionist. I will never go anywhere else for all of my endodontic work.

I had my root canal re-treatment done today. Dr. Brian Wu is very patient to explain the procedure, and he's very caring and professional. I didn't have any pain during the process. This was my second visit, 7 -years since the last. The initial experience was excellent and this one followed suit. My root canal procedure was literally pain free. But even more important, the dental team and support staff were attentive and professional. My choice to return to Samir Batniji Inc. was a good one.

came in to have a Root Canal and have to admit i was very nervous and did not want to stay but the assistance managed to keep me calm and even handed over there ear phones so that i can listen to music Dr. Batniji was very nice and made me feel comfortable and before i knew it the procedure was done thanks to the staff i no longer am a nervous and would recommend this office

Dr. Batniji. did an excellent job explaining the procedure. I have worked for a general dentist for many years, and I can confidently say that if you are looking for an excellent endodontist, this is the practice for you. Her injections were painless and precise. The root canal went smoothly, and I was comfortable throughout the procedure. I experienced no discomfort. I highly recommend going to see Dr. Batniji.

I found that Dr. Batniji was very pleasant and calming. He thoroughly explain all treatment and procedures to me. The procedure went great, no problems and I felt very comfortable. I really wish I would have came here for previous root canal procedures because the work they do here is excellent. Barely experienced any discomfort during the procedure and the staff is really friendly. If you need a root canal done, I definitely recommend coming here.

First visit I seen Dr. Batniji. He was very patient, kind, and made me feel very welcomed. I was going in for a root canal. The first time I had one at another dentist, it was a nightmare. The barrier was place across all of my mouth so felt like I couldn't breathe, and with a gag reflex it made it worse. Long story short, it didn't happen and it was a horrible experience. My second visit in I ended up having it done by Dr. Chen. Dr. Chen was very professional and made sure I knew everything that was going on, as well as ensuring I felt relaxed, and okay. He ensured I didn't feel like I was feeling suffocated due to the barrier, and was able to get the job done. Thank you so much Dr. Chen! A huge problem someone finally was able to assist me with. His assistants were very great! Well everyone in that office! So kind, understanding. Sandra in the front office was very friendly. From the moment you walk in, until the moment you leave and even after. Called the next day to ensure I was doing great, to made sure I followed up with my Dentist, and to see if I had any more questions. Have never felt so great, and at ease. Thank you all so much!! Highly recommended. 5/5. You will not regret coming here.

So great that I had to leave a review! Had the best experience with Dr. Batniji and his team. Dr. Batniji was very kind and caring. He made sure I was thoroughly numb, after numbing me the first time he asked multiple questions about how I felt and spent extra time before starting. The staff was very kind, and very professional, even the treatment itself was better- they took extra precautions and care that previous offices had not done. 10 stars!
