Dr. Sam R. Gharib is a Board Certified endodontist and he is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. Dr. Gharib is an expert in endodontic diagnosis, a root canal specialist, an endodontic retreatment specialist, and a root end surgery specialist.He is a highly sought after endodontist known for his superior clinical skills, gentleness, compassion and honesty. Dr. Sam R. Gharib received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign and then earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Southern Illinois School of Dental Medicine in Alton, IL. He trained in hospital dental medicine for one year in a General Practice Residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, IL. After spending one year in private practice, Dr. Gharib felt the need for call of service. He joined the US Navy andwas able toserve tours at the Great LakesNaval Base, IL, in Japan and at Bethesda, MD.During his Naval career, Dr. Gharib was selected for the highly prestigious endodontic specialty program at the Naval Postgraduate Dental School in Bethesda, MD. In addition to earning his Specialist Certificate in Endodontics, Dr. Gharib also earned a Master of Science degree from the George Washington University in Washington, DC. Dr. Gharib has over 23 years experience as a dentist and endodontist.

Dr. Cancellier obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry. He practiced general dentistry in Los Angeles with Guy Ho, DDS, a member of the USC Dental School Hall of Fame. Dr. Cancellier received a specialist certificate in endodontics at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Long Beach, California.
For several years, Dr. Cancellier taught at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC Advanced Endodontic Residency as an Associate Professor. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, a member of the American Association of Endodontists, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Orange County Dental Society, and he is Past President of the California State Association of Endodontists.
Dr. Cancellier is a fifth generation Californian. He is happily married with two successful daughters, and a fabulous grandson. Dr. Pete loves being with his family, watching movies, live concerts and sports, and playing the drums in bands.
Sharon is an expert registered dental assistant specializing in endodontics. She has been assisting endodontists at this 33 Creek Road, Irvine, California practice in Irvine for twenty one years. Rest assured that Sharon will care for you like family. She practices a healthy lifestyle and her commitment to nutrition and exercise may rub off on you. Sharon is an avid and accomplished gardener. She loves being with her husband and two daughters.
Christina, our Office Administrator, grew up in Irvine, California. She has been with Endodontics of Orange County for over eight years. She will greet you with a warm smile and assist you with any questions you want answered. Dr Gharib is the best doctor I have ever seen. I have so many troubles with my teeth since when I was a child so I had many chances to visit dental offices and specialists. Dr. Gharib had done my root canal treatment. It was so quick while I was relaxed. He explained before and while the treatment. After the treatment, he showed the x-ray and explained it. When I visited my general dentist after his treatment, my dentist said it was the perfect work. I am so lucky I found the best Endodontist with friendly staffs in the clean office.

I had a triple bridge which was supported by 2 implants (Zimmer brand). Surprisingly over 9 years the bridge became mobile and had to be resecured. During this process one of the implant's screw broke and had to be removed without sectioning the entire bridge. I asked many dentists and (prosthodontists) if they could do this job and if they worked with Zimmer tools. After long research, I found Dr. Nikolay Sky of Light Breeze Dental on-line and visited for a consultation. Dr. Nikolay has very modern tools and imaging devices but more than that he worked on that bridge very patiently to take out the broken screw. He then referred me to Dr. Sam Gharib, an Endodontist, since they work with smaller tools. Dr. Gharib was extremely careful and precise while working on this tooth. This was almost a microscopic and very delicate job but he was able to remove the broken screw without damaging the implant threads. Same day I went back to Dr. Nikolay's office where he was able to place a new screw on that implant and my bridge was saved. I cannot thank Dr. Sam Gharib (and his staff) enough for taking his valuable time and trying everything he could to complete the process. I also thank Dr. Nikolay Sky and his staff for referring me to Dr. Gharib and also for restoring my bridge. I recommend both of these doctors for any of your delicate dental works.

Absolutely Amazing! I was in dire need of a root canal and had just moved to the area. I am soo very grateful they were able to see me within a couple hours of calling. Dr. Gharib did a fantastic job, he was very gentle and was done in less than an hour. Did I mention they were able to treat me the same day I called?! I am grateful for their flexibility, friendly and professional staff, and excellent work! I highly recommend his office. Thank you Dr Gharib and your wonderful staff!!

First I'd like to say that the staff is very friendly and welcoming, even though I was basically a walk in ( I was referred the same day). Dr. Gharib was very clear, communicative and friendly from the moment we met. He knew exactly what was gonna happen and was prepared for when my "angry tooth" wouldn't go numb. His knowledge and expertise helped him to quickly identify the issue and find a different way to numb the nerve. I felt at ease the whole time and his bedside manner is top notch. He even went as far as giving me a call the next day to check up on my status. I would recommend Dr. Gharib and Endodontics of Orange County to anyone who needs a root canal, I honestly don't think anyone could do a better job.

Yesterday I had re-treatment of a root canal that I had 3 or 4 years ago. My visit started off with X-rays of the tooth that was hurting and then a cone beam which is like a CT scan of my teeth, pretty cool! Dr. Gharib was very pleasant as he went over the images with me in detail. During the very COVID conscious procedure, he kept good communication throughout, asking me if I was ok and and would point out to me when parts got a little uncomfortable. He's a really caring doctor because he recognized that there could be a little discomfort after the exam and he went over all the medication I would need once I got home. By the way my pain level was surprisingly low but I did keep the recommended antibiotics and ibuprofen on board. Dr. Gharib also keeps a knowledgeable and very kind staff, thanks again to Sharon and Christina! For getting a root canal this was a really refreshing visit. If I ever need another one (and I hope I don't) Dr. Gharib would be at the top of the list!

I had an amazing experience here, and I felt so much better after my treatment. I waited a whole year and went through three dentists, and they all made my tooth pain worse. Dr. Gharib instantly helped me, and did a root canal which finally made my tooth feel better. I was very pleased with the the cleanliness of the office and the kindness of the staff there. I was treated respectfully, and I was being told everything that was going to happen, unlike other dentists, who just started working and caused me a lot of pain. Dr. Gharib is the professional in this field, and I highly recommend this clinic for any problems and checkups.

Piece of cake! I was dreading the root canal I had today. Dr. Gharib and Sharon made it the most pleasant experience. The only tough part was having to keep my mouth open for about an hour. They made me feel at ease and explained every part of the procedure as they were doing it, so I knew what to expect. Dr. Gharib was very sensitive to my low pain tolerance and made sure I had enough anesthesia. They are very caring and thorough! Highly recommended!

Excellent experience. I'm so happy to write this review. The operation took about 30-45 mins. I literally know whats going to happen for the next moment. Excellent communication from the doctor that every single thing was explained nicely which he is going to do next. I never saw such detailed explanations before. Doctor is so patience, professional and so kind with his work.. I set comfort immediately with this. Actually i had little phobia towards the root canal operation but the same is no where in my way. I didn't feel any pain or discomfort after the operation either. Highly recommended. Thank you sir for such a professionalism and for great treatment. I would definitely recommend my network!
