Evelyn has been working as a dental coordinator for over 5 years. Her expertise in dentistry and insurances help her plan out the best treatment options for our patients. She enjoys helping our patients achieve their dream smile and ideal dental health. She is very happy to work with an award winning Dentist and professional staff. Outside of work she likes camping, swimming and spending time with her family.
Carmila graduated from San Francisco State University where she earned her Bachelors of Science in Biology with a concentration in Physiology. She then went on to San Joaquin Valley College - Visalia where she received her Dental Hygiene degree with honors. Carmila loves working with patients of all ages and puts patient comfort as a priority. She is very passionate about dental hygiene and loves motivating her patients to achieve their health goals. In her free time, Carmila enjoys spending time with her family and taking flight lessons towards her private pilots license. She loves traveling and seeing what sunny San Diego has to offer.
Bianca has been in the dental field for over six years now. She enjoys working at Sam J. Halabo, DMD because she knows the entire staff is truly dedicated to giving patients the best possible care. Bianca is responsible for many of the routine tasks that help assure a great patient experience. She feels very fortunate to work for such an incredibly ethical and competent dentist. In her free time, Bianca enjoys spending time with her husband and son.

Dr. Halabo is a native of San Diego. He graduated with honors from The Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry, and he earned his bachelors degree at the University of California at Santa Barbara in the study of Microbiology. Dr. Halabo completed his dental residency at The Loma Linda Veterans Hospital learning special techniques in working with fearful patients and providing comfortable dental care.
He is an adjunct faculty member at UCSD, and he lectures to other dentists on a variety of topics including advanced dental technology and integration. Dr. Halabo is an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, San Diego County Dental Association, Clinical Research Associates Group, Conference of Innovative Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

Taking every precaution in light of COVID19 They made it as safe as possible and easy to access In compliance with social distancing. Dr. Halabo is always professional, courteous and remembers you. I always recommend anyone that I know here because of how great my care has been. A series of unfortunate events When I look back on my experience at Dr. Halabo's office and a year's worth of consults, exams, treatments and bills, it's hard to believe that the cracked tooth I had extracted over a year ago is still not restored. And perhaps, if said tooth was not front and center in my mouth, the multiple missteps that transpired at this office wouldn't feel so acute. Nonetheless, every time I look in the mirror, I have a gaping hole as a reminder. There are two main shortcomings that I want to highlight for potential patients to consider: Questionable judgement: I am not a dental expert, but from the research I've done and in consulting with other dentists, it seems to me that a crown shouldn't be placed on a post simultaneously unless the circumstances are ideal. I have a history of grinding as well as two previous gum grafts (both conditions Dr. Halabo was made aware of) and yet the post AND a temp crown were placed on the same day. Two weeks later, the implant site became infected and the pain was nothing short of excruciating. It was another 3 months before we could attempt again, wasting more time and more money. 2. Transparency and communication: After my tooth became infected 2 weeks post-surgery, on a Sunday, I was unable to get into the office to have it removed until Tuesday. On Monday, when I could no longer live with the pain, I called into the office and spoke with the front desk staff who (despite my pleading to be seen) informed me that Dr. Halabo was out of the office and wouldn't be back in until Tuesday. I am not sure what protocol is in place for this practice regarding emergencies, but in my opinion, it seemed that under no circumstances would I be able to be seen until the following day. I can only infer, that the severity of my condition was either ignored by Dr. Halabo or he never received that message from his staff. Either way, it was an agonizing experience that I won't soon forget.

I highly recommend Dr.Sam Halabo! He is very nice and professional he explains every procedure and is very attentive to your needs. I felt safe and comfortable during my Implant Procedure with NO PAIN! Super happy I found him! The office is very clean following all covid regulations

Sam Halabo is a great Dentist. He always makes sure you are comfortable a d explains everything he does and why as he works on your teeth. He is progressive and on the cutting edge of technology. I had 3 teeth needing attention and I spend 1 1/2 in the chair with his full attention. It felt like 30 min. simply because he makes you feel at ease. No soreness hours, days, or weeks after. He is always concerned about the future of your teeth and gum health. Thanks for all you do Sam!

Very caring office staff and Doctor Halabo was fantastic. He Explained every step for the procedure and was very attentive. Excellent dental work I am very happy with results. Painless procedure with extraction and implant. Would recommend to everyone all family and friends. Especially if your scared or worried about going to a dentist.

My Review with Three Years of Updates (New Patient) I really feel like they are giving me the best possible advice, and holding my hand a long the way. Very professional, but very passionate. Update (05/02/2018): They have succesfully removed all pain from my mouth, and they still have more work to go before we jump into invisalign. I have to say I am really impressed with every member of the staff, and the doctor himself. All very professional and customer service oriented. I wouldn't even consider going to another dental office. If you are looking for a dentist, look no further. I have a long road ahead but I am glad I have the right team on my side. Update (06/28/2018) My 4th visit. They have their work cut out for them. I fully trust them, there is not another Dentist Office I would consider. The Hygenist, Doctors, Aides and Office Manager are all very hospitable and tell me the hard facts and the best solutions. Well earned 5 stars. I have about two years worth of work to get where I want to be. Update (5/06/19) I've been here for a year now, gone through countless sessions. There is no where I would rather be. They are consistently professional, and deeply concerned about their customers overall well being. Update (5/14/20) Its been two years of coming here and time has flown! I started off with a ton of work to do, and now we have done all the painful procedures and up next is invisalign. The Dr. and his amazing staff including the receptionist and his hygienist have put in a lot of hours making my mouth painless, and really just removing a lot of the Navy Dentistry that was behind the times. I look forward to being one of his success stories in the years to come. Update (07/10/2020) I just started the invisalign process, and its not painful at all. Its also influenced me to quit smoking, because let's face it... brushing your teeth 20 times a day is a chore. Im still 10/10 satisfied with the Dr., Staff and Hygienists. I do want to clarify something I said in an earlier update, about the pain. I had Navy fillings which are metal, and there is no nice way to get that out. Nonetheless, they are always checking on me to see if I need more numbing. The pain was my fault, not theirs. I'm just glad they took care of me. Will update later on in the invisalign process. Update (02/10/2020) Wow. What a journey. Finished invisalign. Invisalign was surprisingly easy, but I also got rid of some vices along the way due to having to wear invisalign. I quit smoking, because taking them off and brushing my teeth everytime I smoked was a hassle. I quit biting my nails, because you will crack your invisalign if you do it. So if you have a problem smoking and biting your nails, and your teeth aren't aligned, it practically pays for itself! Not only did I complete invisalign, but I just completed my procedure for 8 Veneers and I now have a confidence I didn't have my entire life. I now don't hide my laughter. I don't feel self conscious about a gap, or the discoloration of my teeth. This means the world to me, because I am a talker. Let me just say that I went to Sam in pain, completely ashamed of my mouth, and not too excited about the Navy Dentists who filled my mouth with shiny metals. For three years, Sam has been working on my mouth like a mechanic, and let me just say that I am proud to drive this car around San Diego. Best Dentist, Hygienists and Support Staff on both sides of the Mississippi. 11 out of 10 If you are like I was, and just afraid to go to the Dentist because of how bad it has gotten, go now. You won't regret it.

Dr Halabo and his staff were awesome. His office has the best equipment possible. He did a 3D scan of my teeth on a machine called Prexion. It was really fast and cool. Dr Halabo showed my the pictures from it and what he was going to do. I only had a teeth cleaning, but my dad is doing teeth whitening and Invisalign. My mom had an implant put it. We are all very happy with the services we had. I guess I should also mention that we drive over 100 miles each way to see him. He is that great!! I would highly recommend Dr Halabo to everyone.
