An intraoral camera is an indispensable diagnostic and educational tool. The tiny video camera moves around inside of your mouth and generates a tooth by tooth video exam of your teeth. Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. As you heal, the tissue reattaches to the bone and your gums return to a healthy infection-free state.

I am fairly choosy when it comes to a dentist. This place truly cares about its clientele and has never pushed products on me. Dentist is frank about the condition of my teeth and willing to tell me what steps are needed for maintenance. Highly recommend!!!

Staff is nice. Dentists are patient. That being said, I've gotten 5 crowns in my mouth over the last decade. This time around, one of the temp crowns put in my mouth has now popped out a total of *3* times. The first when they were initially putting it in, came out right away - I get that, no problem. The second was a week later when I had a mouthful of vegetable soup - had to go back in the next day to have them put it back. Now, another week later, just came out again while I was eating a grilled cheese!!! At this point I'm concerned. There's nothing like worrying about almost swallowing a tooth every time you try to eat, and it's very time consuming and taxing to have to go in 3 - 4 times for a single tooth.

I had a great experience at this office! Dr. Singh is very thorough and knowledgeable. He takes the time to explain what he is seeing and what he knows to be the best treatment. He is very straight forward and I appreciate that about him. The whole staff is friendly, and you can hear laughter throughout the office, it just adds to the positivity in the office. 100% recommend this office to anyone in need!

The dentist pointed out flaws in my previous dental care, showing me what he would NOT have done and telling me why. He did not appreciate that some of the dental work was done in different countries, and some done when I was in a much different financial situation than I am today. He made me feel dumb for having made the choices I did. He immediately suggested redoing previous dental work and even brought in the scheduler without asking me if that was something I wanted or could afford. He did not seem like he cared about me, just the money he could make by redoing my dental work.

Dentist and staff were really nice and considerate of my fears of the dentist. However, the orthodontist needs to work on his bedside manner. I'm sorry that you couldn't go play golf when you wanted to.

Had my first visit with Darlene and Dr. Mac. Darlene was very thorough with explaining their standard practices and why they do such a detailed initial evaluation. Dr. Mac was super kind and answered all my questions concerning the future of my dental health. Looking forward to my next visit!

I've had ALOT of dental work over the years and Dr. Singh did a good job on my crowns. I had metal fillings that needed replacing, but Dr. Singh didn't push the procedure on me saying it could wait until my next 6 month check up. I asked to have it fixed because I didn't want to delay treatment. He was meticulous and both crowns fit perfectly without any pain or sensitivity.

Reading reviews that Doctor Singh and the other staff at Salt Lake Modern are taking advantage, or pulling 'bait-and-switch' like tactics is so counter my experience, I am OBLIGATED to write this review: Best Dentist, Most Welcoming and Professional Staff, Best Dental Experiences of my life. I have had some serious issues with my teeth in my early twenties due to a young and reckless lifestyle, so going to the dentist was *always* an experience of contention for me. Dr. Singh does not shame people into treatment options; as a fellow East Coaster, we simply don't sugarcoat things, we have too many people to deal with and not enough time. You tell him you brush regularly (and lie like I did when I first went in) and he sees the obvious signs of poor brushing: he's gonna say something to you, like a responsible medical professional should. I cracked a tooth that needed a root canal, and frankly, the procedure to have it fixed and a crown put on was completely painless. I mean I didn't even feel the palate shot (which is arguably the single greatest pain a human can experience at the end of a needle). In the last two years I was laid off and lost my insurance, which was a massive deterrent to revisiting any dentist. Having returned after being able to get myself back on my feet, I was amazed to find that their in-house discount plan made their pricing more affordable than when I had dental insurance, and my employer offered dental plan was *really* good.

If you want to pay for overtreatment, go here. I went in for a cleaning and x-rays and they came up with a long list of things they recommended for me (including filling a "cavity"). I didn't do any of them, went to another dentist, and they didn't even mention a single thing they wanted to do at SL modern dentistry. I wasn't going to post because I thought it may have been a one off experience, but I see other people have similar experiences.

I absolutely love this place ! The staff is super friendly especially front desk and the dental assistants! I always get a bag with toothpaste and a new toothbrush every visit and they always go out of their way to make me feel comfortable.

Place is a scam. Went in to check on some gum bleeding, was told I needed to pay over $1200 for their "deep clean." Called another dentist who said it sounded like a scam and referred me to a periodontist who only charged me $200 for the same treatment. Afterwards I had an appointment scheduled without my consent at their West Jordan location for a root canal? And was told it costed $100 to cancel? Thankfully they didn't have my card on file.... I would not recommend or trust this place.
