Salt Lake City dentist Dr. Clint Blackwood, DDS, attended the University of Utah for his undergraduate studies. After only two years he was accepted to the prestigious University of the Pacific School of Dentistry where he graduated with honors, while earning his Doctorate of Dental Surgery.

Rachel has worked with Dr. Blackwood for almost 2 years and has worked in the dental field for over 6. She is a central part of our office. Her favorite thing about working here is being friends with our patients and giving them thebest possible care.
Andrea is a new addition to our office, however has worked with Dr. Blackwood in years past. She has worked in the dental field for over 13 years. She grew up and currently lives in Sandy. Andrea is married and has two beautiful daughters.
Running has recently been a fun activity for her, and she has participated in three half marathons this year. As a family they enjoy camping, hiking, football, and gardening. Their family has two dogs and two cats and would have more animals if city ordinances allowed.
Mindy has been working in the dental field for about 12 years, 8 of those years as a dental hygienist and 5 of those years shes been working for Dr. Blackwood, DDS. She tracked him down after seeing the work hed done at a previous office where she worked and he had previously worked. It was AWESOMEso she Googled him, called him up and asked for a job. Hes a sucker and hired her and she has loved working here ever since. The patients are the best in the world!!
Aside from work, Mindy loves her little family and gets excited to come home to them after working all day. She and her husband Jake have been married just over 5 years. They live in Bountiful and have a 3 year old boy, an 18 month old girl and another girl expected to arrive in January. She loves to garden, run (when shes not pregnant) and she gets 7-Eleven Slurpees at least once a week. On a side note, she flosses every day!!
After working in the dental field for several years, Lizzie decided to get her Bachelors Degree in Dental Hygiene. She graduated from the Utah College of Dental Hygiene in 2010 and hasnt looked back since.
When asked about her career she says I love, love, love dental hygiene! Theres something awesome about working with peoples smiles every day. Extremely consistent, very professional, and the doctor's bedside manner is great. The staff is all on one page, if they mess up with billing-they are honest enough to fess up. I doubt your current dentist is a tri athlete that understands how tooth pain is a huge energy drainer, Dr. Blackwood is fit and it shows as he's not just mailing it in. Ask a question and get an honest answer. I've been with him 15 years as of 2022, he has private insurance that saves thousands over the years. Easy to reach office location.

I went 15 years without seeing a dentist after a traumatic experience. I've been going to see Dr. Blackwood and his great staff for a couple years now, and I'm a huge fan of theirs. I have nothing but gratitude for these extremely professional and friendly people.

I had my wisdom teeth removed here. I have been anxious for a whole week before going to his office. Dr. Blackwood was the best! He was gentle and caring. He told me to raise my hand if I need more local anesthesia. His staffs were super friendly. The process was easy and painless. Dr. Blackwood told me to remove the teeth that need to be removed only. He didn't ask me to remove all four as other dentists tried to make money out of it. He is also against IV sedation because it takes longer for the patient to heal and it is costly. I was scared but the laughing gas worked for me. I recommend this dentist to all my friends.

I found them while looking to get my wisdom teeth pulled. I was very cautious of dentists after some bad ones. Dr. Blackwood shared my concern and was very understanding. Been going ever since. The staff is nice and great for conversation. Dr. Blackwood is a great dentist with lots of experience. The payment is reasonable and well worth it. Would recommend if you have had a bad experience or a fear of dentists.

I am extremely dentost-phobic, but I was pleasantly surprised at my dentist visit today. I had lost a filling over the weekend, and they were able to get me in on Tuesday to fix it. The dentist took the time to discuss my anxieties and assuage my fears. They gave me a statement before the procedure of what my portion of the cost would be (I've never before experienced that at a dentist, and having had a surprise $800 bill at a past dentist, it was much appreciated). They were non-judgmental about my needing nitrous to get through the procedure and did everything they could to make it as comfortable an experience as I could have. I've found my new dentist, and they come highly recommended!

Dr. Blackwood and his staff are extremely experienced, kind and thorough. I always feel like I am receiving the best dental care. His front desk employees are extremely friendly. Dr. Blackwood was actually able to save me $2000. I had a former dentist who did a filling incorrectly. I was in extreme pain and was told I needed a root canal and a crown on that tooth. I went to see Dr. Blackwood for a second opinion and was informed by Dr. Blackwood that all I needed was for the current filling to be drilled out because it had been done incorrectly and have a new filling put in. That was five years ago and that tooth has never given me an ounce of pain since. I would sincerely and highly recommend Dr. Blackwood and his staff.

I went to Dr Blackwood for a wisdom tooth, he popped it right out, took about 5 minutes. I was reluctant to repeat an experience I had a couple of years ago with another dentist who butchered my mouth and jaw when removing a wisdom tooth, she tore the site all up, left a gaping hole and fractured my jaw with her brute force approach, plus it took over 30 minutes to remove it. Going to Dr Blackwood was a much better experience, he doesnt use the brute force approach, I will come back to see him from now on, I still have issues in the area of that first experience that I will need addressed and I feel I can trust him to address them properly, Thank you Dr Blackwood
