Beware the billing person in this office named Maureen. Extremely rude, incompetent, irrational and very unprofessional. My husbands bill was questionable. We requested a ledger and after our review; I was seeking an explanation as to why he was charged an additional $435 "upgrade material fee" on both his porcelain veneers. Both the insurance company and my husband paid for porcelain veneers. Dr. Sallee cemented his front teeth with porcelain veneers. What other material upgrade for $435 was additionally billable? Special cement from NASA maybe? Maureen replied with nervous and erratic chatter about how the additional fee was split between the two teeth insisting that the offices contractual agreement with the insurance company states that the office can charge what ever they want (Untrue). She then proceeded by citing Connecticuts state law declarations, and commenting how happy I must be with my husbands new smile, to then mentioning her 20 year experience in the business and how perfectly knowledgeable she was at her job. It was so ridiculous, spastic, irrational, irrelevant and all over the place. Maureen made zero logical sense and never answered me. I made several attempts to re-address my very valid question but Maureen then began to talk over me screaming "Excuse me!" "Excuse me!" over and over. I was very rudely dismissed. Thereafter I called our insurance company and reported the matter to them. They attempted to reach the office for clarification and remedy but Maureen would answer repetitively and keep them on hold extensively never professionally or courteously taking any one of their multiple calls. While Dr. Sallee and other staff may be efficient, this person is clearly incompetent, untrustworthy, unprofessional and unhinged to say the least.

A truly phenomenal dental office. The staff is professional, friendly and helpful and do their jobs both efficiently and with compassion. Dr Sallee is personable and professional shows exceptional levels of care for each patient he sees and always takes the time to thoroughly discuss questions and concerns his patients have. As someone with tremendous anxiety in general and dental trauma in my past I cannot over state what a blessing this office has been in my life with their non judgmental treatment of my teeth.

Maureen apparently has severe anger issues, and is incapable of carrying on a civilized conversation or doing her job. You can't talk to anyone above her, because she is the supervisor. If it were me, I'd fire her, but sadly, to quote her favorite catch phrase, "it's not my problem." I was sitting next to my daughter while she was on the phone with Maureen trying to resolve a problem where she had billed my daughter's insurance for procedures done on another patient, and I could here her shrill voice from across the room. Also, during this "conversation," Maureen revealed the other minor patient's name, birthdate, patient ID number, and other personal information, which is a violation of HIPAA patient privacy policies. If I were that minor patient's parents, I would be Very Concerned. UPDATE: Dr Sallee's office has been billing my daughter's insurance for another patient's services for 9 years!!! Insurance Fraud division investigating.
