Dr. Henson received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from UNC School of Dentistry in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and completed his endodontic residency at Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts. While in school, he conducted research on dental pulp genetics as well as endodontic CT scanning technology. The radiology research conducted during his residency was published in the prestigious Journal of Endodontics. As a dental student at UNC, he participated in numerous volunteer opportunities, including the SHAC clinic and the North Carolina Missions of Mercy clinics. He attended Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia for his undergraduate degree in economics before deciding to pursue dentistry. Dr. Henson grew up in Wilkesboro, North Carolina where he became an Eagle Scout.
Dr. Henson maintains memberships in many professional organizations to stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and technology. He is currently a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Endodontists, North Carolina Dental Society, Tarheel Endodontic Association, and the Rowan Dental Society.
Dr. Henson serves on the Dental Assisting Advisory Committee at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College as well as with Community Care Clinic of Rowan County as a member of the Board of Directors and as a volunteer clinician. He is dedicated to delivering excellent endodontic care and giving back to the community. Dr. Henson most enjoys spending time with his wife Lauren, their daughter Nora, and playing with their dog Sophie.

I had an abscessed tooth and the doctors where I live in Winston were booked out a month and I knew I was not going to be able to wait that Long I called around and they were able to get me an appointment within a day, and also called me in some meds after hours. This office gives such a family vibe everyone is so welcoming and friendly vibe. This was my first root Canal and I had no trouble or pain. Dr Henson is the friendliest most wonderful Dr I have ever met. Had such a wonderful experience here.

I recently went to Salisbury endodontics for three root canals. First and foremost let me tell you that I am terribly afraid of the dentist but going here was one of the most pleasant experiences I have had in my life as far as dental work. the staff here went above and beyond to accommodate me to include getting me prescriptions after hours. They also worked with my schedule and called me multiple times to follow up with me to see how my procedures were coming along. I recommend them to anyone who needs a root canal......

My Mother came to Dr Henson for root surgery. Afterwards she developed a tooth abscess followed by severe pain and inflammation in her thigh and knee. When she went back to Dr Henson's to treat the abscess she told him about her symptoms and asked if the radiating pain and swelling in her leg could be caused by the infection in her mouth. He told her that it could not be and didn't send her to the ER. Eventually when my mother was admitted to the hospital doctors told us that the infection had travelled to her leg, and she had to have multiple surgeries to remove it. She was left with a three and a half inch hole in her thigh and a long scar on her knee. The infection traveled to her organs and she developed pneumonia, and had heart, lung, and kidney failure. She was in the hospital for nine weeks. She now requires 24 hour care, occupational therapy, physical therapy, wound care, a walker, and is hooked up to a machine that suctions pus from her wound.

My experience with Salisbury Endodontics was amazing. My primary dentist was booked till February and I was in a time crunch to have my root canal done. I called Salisbury Endodontics told them my situation and they were able to work me in the very next day. Brett Henson is a wizard with root canals. Salisbury Endodontics staff was very professional and kind. You can't find customer service like this anymore. Long story short I highly recommend Salisbury Endodontics for there outstanding service. Just got my first root canal today. Thank you for seeing me on such short notice and making me feel welcomed. The hospitality here is amazing. Front desk lady, Melissa' s such a sweetheart. She remembered me and I was HER priority to get seen FAST. In less than 24 hours, she was able to book me instead of waiting until April! Dr. Hensen got jokes! Haha! But he makes you feel calm and comfortable. Everything you thought that was scary from a root canal procedure, throw it away because Dr. Hensen does it smoothly and efficienctly. It seemed like 2nd nature for him and that is super important for me. Thanks!

I about had the problem tooth of the year, Dr. Henson was the single best i found in this town. He didn't see me as a bank to be broken into,but fixed the issue with patience and care. Wish they did the crowns, everyone else... I just don't trust but that's alright. If I ever need again, I'll def give them a call.

Dr.Henson saw me on a same day basis because I was in so much pain! He was very gentle and made sure I was completely numb before proceeding. He walked me through the entire procedure, he saw I was very anxious and he was very gentle with my mouth. I hope I never have to get another root canal but if so he will be my go to! I highly recommend him!!!!!

When no one is looking and it doesn't matter, I've seen that Brett Henson remains one of the nicest, most positive, and most honest people you can find. Those type of qualities would mean the world to me if I was entrusting a desperate, painful, and expensive dental situation to someone in a rush.
