Marianne was born in the small town of Ashland, Kansas, near the Santa Fe Trail, where her father and two brothers consecutively practiced dentistry. She grew up in the middle of ranches, wheat fields, and Indian country.
She attended The Wichita State University, and upon graduating in 1973, she immediately moved to Loveland, Colorado. She has practiced dental hygiene in Denver, Estes Park, Elk City, Oklahoma, Amarillo, Texas, Manhattan and Dodge City, Kansas, and in her hometown, working with both of her brothers.

Bad vibes. The woman who works here harassed my family and I who were attempting to have a picnic at the park across the street. We were traveling home to Denver after visiting a dying relative. I am pregnant and my elderly mother is in the process of recovering from cancer. We had her small service dog with us and were just trying to eat a sandwich. Instead we were harassed and threatened by this woman. She did not want our dog at the park. As strange as this all sounds, we had no choice but to leave because she would not leave us alone. It was very hurtful and negatively impacted our day. Life is too short. Please be kind...you never know what someone else is going through.

I've only had great experiences here and the owner does great job. She was able to tell what way I was brushing and gave me better methods for my gums and they have been healthier ever since

I go here regularly. The service is excellent value for cleaning and also ensuring that my gum health is maintained. They also do x-rays and don't hesitate to refer to recommended dentists when necessary.

Marianne is awesome. Thorough. Friendly and xrays and cavity screen less expensive, with referrals to dentist if any flags.

I was very sad about Salida Dental Hygiene. I live in a different town and found a person going to Salida and made an appointment easy enough. But, when I got there I found out that my Medicaid was not accepted, after all, even though she advertises on her website 'we gladly accept it.' We are going through a rough patch in our lives at the moment, and I would have understood not accepting it. Like so many things the government makes it hard for providers, so those that need it have a hard time getting it. But, the advertisement needs to be changed, and after making a long trip, I was crushed.
