Dr Salem has a lifelong passion for orthodontics and science. His father was an orthodontist and his mother was a chemistry teacher. From a young age Dr Salem wanted to learn about orthodontics from his dad. He loved joining him in his private practice to help him organizing the lab, prepare supplies and bend some extra wire his father used to give him. It was then where Dr Salem developed an interest in orthodontics.
Dr Salem still meets people who were orthodontic patients of his father and were influenced by his gentle nature and beautiful results. Dr Salem saw the value of this long lasting relationship between his father and his patients. That is why he cherishes this unique relationship and aim everyday to be the best orthodontist he can be for his patients and to provide them a warm and welcoming environment where they feel comfortable.
Dr Salem earned his dental degree (DMD) from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He completed his Orthodontic residency program at the State University of Buffalo (SUNY at Buffalo) in 1999 with 3.9 GPA and was awarded an honorary certificate of Scholarly Excellence. Afterwards, he continued his studies at the University of Buffalo, graduating with Master of Science in Orthodontics Degree in year 2000.
After graduation Dr Salem was recruited to serve on the faculty body at the department of orthodontics at Buffalo University until 2002, and then moved to Tufts University School of Dental Medicine where he served as director of the Pre-doctoral Orthodontic Program until 2005. Dr Salem passion for education and learning earned him the respect of his students and peers.
During his academic tenure Dr Salem was awarded the certificate of Appreciation from Tufts Dental School for his contribution to the education process. He was honored to publish numerous papers in peer-reviewed dental and medical journals dealing with the advancement of orthodontic research, science and technique.
His oldest son attends George Washington University in Washington D.C. majoring in Business. His middle son attends Boston College High School where he learns what true citizenship means and his daughter is in the third grade at St. John the Evangelist School in Canton.
Dr Salem volunteers as chairman of the Board of Karam Foundation. A non-profit organization that promotes lower and higher education to Syrian refugee children and youths. He was fortunate to travel on 9 missions overseas to serve Syrian Refugee children dental and psychosocial needs in Turkey and Jordan. He joined Karam team in 2009 and will continue to serve those in need until he is no longer able to.
Although Dr Salems formal education is complete, he is always striving to add to his knowledge in the field of orthodontics to offer to his patients the most advance and predictable techniques. He is always attending continuing education courses and seminars to keep him up to date with the latest updates and technologies.
Local Dentists often share with Dr Salem how pleased they are for recommending Salem Orthodontics to their patients. The trust they have with Dr Salem led him to treating many of the referring dentists family members.
Dr Salem is honored to be supporter and sponsor of many local sports teams, museums and organizations. He believes in the true value of supporting programs that provide our children with the healthy mindset as well as the physical part.

I love everyone there, everyone is so welcoming and kind. I have gone to Salem Orthodontics for years. I have never had any issues with any of the dental gear or any problems pertaining to fixing my crooked teeth lol. They are awesome and did an amazing job fixing my teeth! Now I have an amazing smile and just huge appreciation to Dr. Salem and his team!

Salem Orthodontics is the BEST place to get your braces done. My teeth were in the worst shape possible with teeth growing sideways, one tooth on top of other. It was a mess. I am a professional, so I did not want regular braces and wanted to get invisalign. But Doctor Salem emphasized that with my condition, he would strongly recommend regular braces which are less expensive than Invisalign but more effective. And I was sold immediately, because that just showed that they care about the results more than their profit. It was a painful journey of 22 months but was totally worth it. Everyone in the office is wonderful. But I have to mention Amanda specifically who has been vital in this process. I trusted her with blind eyes and she never disappointed me. She took care of my treatment with utmost care and passion. Dr. Salem is a magician and has such a friendly demeanor. He knew exactly what to do with my teeth and Amanda followed his instructions to the T. I am just SO happy with the end result. I Strongly recommend them for people of all ages. THANK YOU SO MUCH for all you did for my beautiful smile.

I am SO glad I chose Dr.Salem and his West Bridgewater team. All of his staff were amazing and always took great care of me. I can't recommend this place enough! I had a baby tooth and I had to get braces to pull down my adult tooth. It was quiet a shook to have to get braces at my age but Dr. Salem and his team made the experience a lot less scary and stressful. Thank you so much!!

We first met with Dr Salem last year for a second opinion about our 9 year olds daughters teeth and from that moment we knew he was our first choice! He made her feel so at ease through the whole process of not only braces but also an expander. She finally after just 8 months had them all removed last week and the results are amazing . I was always embarrassed to smile and would always close my lips to pose for pictures. Finally I decided to do a consultation for what could solve my problems and Dr. Salem recommended an Invisalign treatment. There was a very small adjustment period of about a week where I fell into the routine of the program and after that the treatment was second nature. The liners didn't hurt and 90% of the time I wouldnt even realize they were there. I just finished up and my teeth look great. The retainers fit perfectly and are comfortable and easy to sleep in. I would absolutely recommend seeing Dr. Salem for an invisalign treatment.

Dr. Salem came highly recommended from my dentist to treat my open bite(that I thought would need to be surgically repaired). He gave me a time frame for my treatment that was very accurate despite the interruption that was caused by the pandemic. I am now in my 'retainer phase' and I could not be happier. Dr. Salem, Katie, Brianna and the rest of his wonderful staff will take GREAT care of you :)

I chose Dr. Salem as my orthodontist after three consultations. I felt that he listened to what my concerns were and helped me choose the best treatment plan. (Invisalign) It's a choice I am happy to have made. He and his staff are amazing! Susan even went above and beyond during a pandemic.
