As a boy, Dr. Huish chipped his tooth and was impressed by the kindness and helpfulness of his dentist. That experience helped Dr. Huish discover his passion for dentistry and inspired Dr. Huish to devote himself to becoming an outstanding dentist.
He attended high school in Park City, Utah, and received his undergraduate degree at Brigham Young University-Hawaii on the island of Oahu. Dr. Huish completed his dental training at the Oregon Health & Science University and furthered his dental education with post-graduate studies in implantology. He also received continuing education in endodontics, cosmetic dentistry, and orthodontics.
Dr. Huish has lived in Washington, Alabama, Utah, Texas, Hawaii, Austria, and Germany. He even speaks fluent German! However, he and his family were quite happy to settle down here, and they love the area.
Dr. Abigail Rapchick grew up on a farm in the Finger Lakes region of New York State. Her childhood was spent outdoors, participating in 4-H and Pony Club, and working in her mothers extensive flower and vegetable gardens. She attended the University at Buffalo where she earned her Bachelors of Science in Biomedical Science, before continuing on to obtain her Doctor of Dental Surgery at UB as well. After graduating she moved to Albuquerque, NM to complete a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry, where she received additional training in all aspects of dentistry.
In her spare time, Abigail enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, camping and rock climbing. She has had a blast exploring the PNW so far and is always looking for new trail recommendations! Her creative nature is expressed through trying new recipes in the kitchen, and her never-ending mixed media art projects.
Michele grew up in the PNW. Born in Idaho, raised in Oregon. Other states she has lived inWashington, Utah, Montana. She attended OSU and has a degree in business management. Michele is married and has two great children all grown up. Michele loves to spend time in the great outdoors. Hiking, kayaking, gardening, and walking on the beach. She also loves cooking and taking her dog for long walks.
Hollie was born in Hawaii , and now has lived in the PNW for the last 20 years, she loves living in the area . She is marriedand has three kids , one boy ( 11 ) . two girls (12) ( 7) and now expecting her 4th . She has two brothers that are in Arizona , with three nieces and one nephew and two greatnephews .She loves being outside and doing anything that involves her family, from camping to board games to just watching movies . Doing what I do is so rewardingand wonderful , I would not change a thing about it . I love being able to help people with their smile and self confidence.
Nan grew up on the beaches of Rio Del Mar and Aptos near Santa Cruz, CA. She showed horses for many years. Nan's skill set was Barrel racing, western pleasure, equitation, and halter classes.Nanwas Grand National Champion Reserve in 1975 in equitation. For Nan, being on a beach and the ocean, along with being in or around a Barn are two of her favorite things.
Nan attended Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL.She worked in the field of Corrections for over twenty-two years. Her last position was the Chief of Security in Rapid City, South Dakota where she supervised the Wild Land Fire Fighting Unit.
She also swam on the Stockton Mini-Subs Swimming Team for approximately seven years. Nan's specialty stokes were the butterfly and free style. Nan has two wonderful nieces whom she love very much and is very close with.
As far as dentistry is concerned, Nan believes every day is a school day and she learns something new every day. Whether is learning more of the front office duties or learning more regarding the back office. She also loves to watch hygiene videos on You Tube.
Melissa was born and raised in Salem, Oregon. She is a mother to two sons who are her world. Melissa has two fur babies, a boxer/ridgeback mix and a Pitbull. Melissa brings such a positive energy wherever she goes. Melissa loves to sing throughout the work day which even sometimes includes during treatment while assisting Dr.Huish.
Zihurave grew up in Oregon and lived in Mexico for a year. She loves hiking with friends and spending time with her family and dog Tilly. She spends time doing volunteer work and studying the Bible, she enjoys her alone time painting, drawing and playing her ukulele.
Charley was born and raised in Oregon. Living in Central Oregon and Salem mostly. She is married and has two children, McKenzie and Porter. She enjoys spending her free time outdoors, camping, fishing, hiking and going to the coast to relax.
