Despite being uncomfortable, dry mouth alone is not a severe issue as long as it is not persistent. If it is, it can lead to various long-term health issues, ranging from irritating to dangerous. Someone who suffers from chronic dry mouth will likely experience mouth sores, splits at the corners of the mouth, cracked lips, increased plaque buildup & a greater risk of tooth decay & gum disease. You might even start to have nutrition issues, because the lack of saliva makes it more difficult to break down food when you eat.

If you use tobacco or drink alcohol, cut back on those or find a way to quit. Even if you dont think smoking or drinking is the root cause, those activities can irritate a dry mouth, so you should limit or stop them entirely. Plus, theyre just bad for you!
The best treatment for dry mouth always depends on the specific cause, so if home remedies or over-the-counter solutions dont prevent your dry mouth, it can indicate a more serious underlying health issue. Dr. Salamon earned his dental degree from New York University in 1990. Since then, he has furthered his education by completing a residency program at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York & by taking numerous continuing education courses over the years. As a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, Dr. Salamon is dedicated to staying up to date on the latest advances in dentistry so he can continue to provide the highest-quality, safest & most modern dental care to his patients.

Dr. Yanover earned his DMD degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1985. He then completed a General Dentistry Residency the following year at Flushing Hospital & Medical Center in Queens, New York. Dr. Yanover is a member of the American Dental Association & the Florida Dental Association. In his pursuit of continuing education, he constantly reads dental journals & completes courses every year to keep up with the newest procedures & techniques.
Married with two children & two grandchildren, Dr. Yanover is a family man who believes quality dental care should be easily accessible for all families. This generous dentist has even accompanied dental students from the University of Florida Dental School to treat patients in the Dominican Republic.

First of all, when I called the office to make the appointment with the Doctor Yanover, the receptionist or front desk was not friendly at all, she was rude!!! But, I was thinking maybe that was because of my French accent ( she didn't understand me well ) or because she had a bad day... And again, I did mention that I wanted to make an appointment with the doctor Yanover! ( For me, I went there because of the doctor good reviews, I live like 1 hour drive from the doctor's office ) Then the day of my appointment, I arrived at doctors place, I saw the receptionist, I said Hello, I have an appointment with doctor Yanover at .... She asked me without hello or anything: what is your name? And my insurance card, ID ... I don't know if it was the same person that I talked in the phone or not but she was as RUDE as the person on the phone!!!! When the dentist assistant came to see me and talk to me, she was nice BUT the doctor that I saw, was not the doctor Yanover!!! I did not ask in front of the doctor for her name because I didn't want her to feel uncomfortable! But in my head I was thinking that the doctor Yanover is a name not a woman and on the internet I only saw 2 doctors overthere, they are all men. And then again, I was thinking maybe she was the dentist wife, who knows, they might work together! The dentist that I saw, was doctor Zupnik, she was very nice except the receptionist was very RUDE! I have nothing against doctor Zupnik, she is a good dentist but I was mad and didn't understand why they didn't tell or explain to me the reason why I asked for one doctor and I had another one!!!

Dr. Gary Salamon is the BEST dentist!!! His entire staff is great too!!! I moved to Jupiter years ago and drive 45 minutes to see Dr. Gary Salamon because my teeth deserve the best and Dr. Salamon is worth the drive.

Yes I was a patient for many years, my business partner is personal friends with them. Unfortunately today my daughter had a horrible experience with the Dentist. He was not nice to her, was not accomodating and did not listen to her concerns. I am unsure what the issue was but I was told he had a bad attitude. I am also a local business owner and would never treat my clients and a teenager in that manner. I will never use them again and I will make sure I let the community know how they act.

I've been going to this office for close to 20 years. I think I've seen pretty much every hygienist. The doctor, the hygienists, and the staff are all extremely professional, experts at their jobs, and always willing to work with you if you need something that isn't covered by insurance/is very expensive. Great people.
