Saia Smile Center - General dentist in Frontenac, KS

A Kansas girl, born and raised, Dr. Jill Saia Pile grew up in Frontenac, KS, where she graduated with honors from FHS in 1994. She began her college career at Pittsburg State University as a biology major and a member of the Crimson and Gold Dance Team. In 1995, she transferred to the University of Kansas to pursue her dreams of always being a Jayhawk. While at KU, Dr. Jill was very active in many campus organizations and honor societies, as well as the KU Mens Basketball Program. She served as an Ambassador and Camp Counselor under the direction of KU Coach Roy Williams. After graduating in 1999 with a Pre-Physical Therapy/Exercise Physiology degree, she moved back to Pittsburg to do a Physical Therapy Internship with Mount Carmel Sports Medicine. At the close of the internship, Dr. Jill decided she wanted to pursue even higher education, as she was accepted into the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry in 2001. Naturally, as a part of her personality, Dr. Pile was also very active in Dental School both academically and clinically, serving as President of Students Take Action, Vice President of Psi Omega Dental Fraternity, Ambassador of many Dental Outreaches, and Advanced Senior Student in Oncology Dental Support Clinic, where she had further training in the management & preparation of patients currently with cancer and/or undergoing transplants. She won the Junior Class Table Clinic Research Project. Along with another colleague, she designed and presented the guidelines for Protocol and Treatment of the Oncology Patient at the American Dental Association in Orlando, Florida in 2004. Dr. Jill graduated with honors from UMKC with her Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2005. She feels very well-rounded in treating patients as a whole, encompassing Health, Well Being, and Autonomy!

As you can see from the above bio, Dr. Pile strongly believes in continual learning. She has averaged well over 100 hours of continuing education per year since graduation, much greater than the 30 hours required yearly. She also believes in continuing education for her team and has chosen to spend the resources of time, effort and finances on the development of each individuals knowledge and abilities as well as her own. Under the leadership of Dr. Pile, the team has invested heavily in the behavioral aspects of healthcare as well as leading edge clinical dentistry. Dr. Pile has taken her team all over the four states for continuing education, as well as Atlanta, Las Vegas, & Costa Rica. In addition to her interest in general and cosmetic dentistry, Dr. Pile addresses malocclusion as it is a disease, and has a passion for orthodontics, using the INVISALIGN technology. Due to her experience, she has been recognized by Invisalign as a Platinum Provider making her in the TOP 5% in the COUNTRY in cases treated.

Dr. Pile is a member of the American Dental Association, Kansas Dental Association, the SEK District Dental Society, the Southeast Kansas Dental Study Club, and Southwest Missouri Study Club. She is a firm believer in volunteerism in our community as well as organized dentistry, serving on a multitude of boards and volunteer groups, including Kansas Mission of Mercy, Free Oral Health Screenings for Kindergarten Roundup and Dental Health Month, Oakview Estates Advisory Council, Frontenac PTO, Church Altar Society, Meals on Wheels, and Coach for Traveling Basketball Teams. She is Past President of the Pittsburg Dental Study Club, as well as current President of the SEK District Dental Study Club. She currently serves on the Board of Delegates for the Kansas Dental Association, representing the Southeast Kansas District, at the State Level.

Dr. Jill Saia Pile married her longtime classmate and best friend, Jared, as they are blessed with 3 beautiful children: Hayden, Vinny, and Giana. The Piles are crazy about KU Sports, traveling and hunting the great outdoors.

Its not easy to stop your gag reflex when getting a goop-filled dental impression made. Our iTero scanner allows us to take a digital impressiona highly accurate, digital 3D image of the individual characteristics of your teeth and gum tissue. It keeps you comfortable while delivering precise imagery, without the goop or gagging associated with conventional impressions. The digital scan can also be used for Invisalign services.

The intraoral camera is an amazing diagnostic tool for viewing different angles in the mouth that we would not have been able to just a few years ago. The camera gives us the ability to view the entire mouth on a monitor so that we can get a closer look at any potential issues or problems that may arise. In addition, the patient will have the ability to see for themselves first hand the same images we are seeing. These digital images are also excellent for gaining procedure acceptance from insurance companies.

Digital X-rays are quickly becoming adopted by a large percentage of the dental industry. A digital X-ray allows the dentist to take an image of the tooth or teeth and put it into an imaging program. Within this imaging program, there are a number of tools that will allow the dentist to take a very close look at the teeth and surrounding structures with amazing accuracy. As a benefit to the patient, the digital X-ray also provides nearly 80% less radiation than a standard X-ray. This is due to the fact that the digital version of the X-ray is much more sensitive to this radiation and has been specifically designed with the patient in mind.

Lasers have transformed medical surgery by offering minimally-invasive alternatives to traditional scalpel incisions and sutured closures. The lasers intense, narrow wavelength has precise, predictable, and powerful reactions when it contacts hard or soft tissues of the body. Laser light is extremely efficient, producing very little heat as it acts on its target. This makes it ideal for oral surgery, since it seldom affects tissues other than those it targets. The laser provides precise control over the depth and extent of cutting, while simultaneously minimizing bleeding and sterilizing the treatment area.

However, a laser can also cure (harden) dental materials, scan teeth to detect decay, vaporize decay and prep teeth for fillings, and activate whitening gel to brighten smiles. Currently, dental applications include gum disease treatments, gum re-contouring, root canal cleaning, decay detection and elimination, bonding material curing and strengthening, incision cauterizing and tissue fusion, lesion reparation, biopsies, and super-fast teeth whitening procedures.

I am very impressed with this dental office! This dental office is the first one I've seen that offers a variety of sensory items for people to use for anxiety! For someone with a PTSD diagnosis, I can attest that these worked well to reduce my anxiety. Everyone was professional and kind. I felt very comfortable in their care. 10/10 would recommend.

They don't hold up to their end of the deal. They said my wife could get her teeth pulled and get her teeth for what her insurance alloted. She's been waiting 6months since having her teeth removed now they telling her she can only get uppers and will have to wait ,4 more months to get lowers and they will cost additional money. Feel like we should have gone else ware
