I'm surprised at the negative reviews. We came to Sage from Great Smile in PSL which is the worst place. The staff at Sage, and I have been to about 5 of their locations, are always friendly and professional. When there has been an emergency they have accommodated both me and my daughter. They're transparent with their pricing, and what sold me on Sage- after my initial visit, and treatment plan created, the discussion was always tailored how I wanted to proceed. There was no pressure, no preemptive credit check, everything was dependent on me. I've seen multiple dentists, Dr. Briggs has treated my kids and she is very knowledgeable and patient with them; I've seen Dr. Koveos and had a great experience. I had oral surgery with Dr. Schuessler a few weeks ago, and as nervous and uncomfortable as it was, him and his assistants made me as comfortable as possible. The front office staff are incredibly helpful and pleasant. In relation to previous practices, their pricing is much more affordable.

I found out about Sage Dental through my insurance company who I called to confirm with earlier in the week that everything will be covered during my visit. I am writing to complain about a procedure I received and paid for under the assumption that the procedure was necessary and worth the extra money. After examining my mouth, I was told I needed "Gingival Irrigation" which would be charged "per quadrant". I have great dental insurance but this procedure was not fully covered and I was told I would need to pay $20 per quadrant, resulting in an $80 charge. I asked for more explanation about this procedure and why it was necessary and I was told, "It is medicine for your gums." I recently had sinus surgery and have been very concerned about the possibility of an oral infection, so I agreed. Then while I was having my cleaning, I realized that this $80 went towards a syringe of liquid (I was not told what the liquid was) which was sprayed over my teeth and then immediately washed off. I feel completely deceived when I later realized that my plan would have covered just a general cleaning which is what I wanted in the first place. I feel that I have been taken advantage of, which I am sure your company aspires to in order to get as much money as possible out of unknowing clients. This is a dishonest way of running business and you should be ashamed of the way you run things. Then, to top it off, I was charged an unspecified $10 office fee. $90 may seem like a small amount in the grand scheme of things, but it is not for me, particularly given that I chose a great dental plan on purpose in order to avoid these types of charges. As many have said in other reviews, Sage dental is a scam.

I FEEL ABSOLUTELY CHEATED! I literally asked at EVERY STEP of the way what would be covered by my insurance and what wouldn't be. Come to find out months later that absolutely NOTHING was actually covered. After several trips, cleanings, procedures, ZERO of the things they said would be covered actually were. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS.

This is by far the most unprofessional dental office I've ever been to, even worse than Aspen. Ancient method of X-rays and the first dentist I saw didn't even look in my mouth, told me everything looked good. Then why did they say I needed deep cleaning? Now granted, mostly likely I did, but it didn't seem like anything different than a regular cleaning, in fact, not even a good regular cleaning. I was having pain on one side so went back today and the lady who took the X-rays said I need three crowns, this is not her place!! The dentist said I need two but I found him also to be unprofessional. I definitely won't be going here for crowns, the search begins for a REAL dentist!

This place is unbelievable and not in a good way. I had a appointment on a Friday at 4. A person before my appointment canceled so Sage canceled my appointment, I imagine they wanted to leave early. Mind you I planned ahead of time, getting out of work early when they decide to call me 2 hours before. Then they scheduled me without my consent and made a random appointment. days later I called Sage spoke to a supposedly office manager he was rude and didn't even ask for my name, very dismissive! This place is unprofessional and don't value their customers. I'll take my business elsewhere!

Sage will not provide your insurance cleanings if they determine you need a "deep cleaning" and therefore require you to pay more money. The determination that I "needed" the deeper cleaning happened to coincide with a better insurance plan that required no copayment for office visits or cleanings. To be fair, with COVID there was a two year gap between the cleanings. I will be looking for a dentist that will provide the cleanings as scheduled by the insurance that I have paid for.

I think it is outrageous that I wasn't notified before I was in the chair that they had a new insurance plan with new pricing and my visit would cost a great deal more than I expected. They email about appointments and they should have notified clients about the significant changes.

Dr Mehler is very thorough and professional, as well as courteous. He took his time getting to know me as a new patient. Kaitlyn, the Dental Tech, was also very thorough. She was professional and attempted to make the X-rays painless, along with being very friendly. She is very Good at what she does! The hygienist, however, Ana Martin, was not professional, cared nothing about any pain she caused while poking her sharp took all over my gums, and then refused to clean my teeth when I declined to pay extra for a deep clean she thought I needed on one tooth. She is the reason I won't be back, but it should bear no reflection on the rest of the team.
