Sage dental is very professional clean and they let you know what things cost before they charge you to let you know if something is not covered or is covered they are very transparent.

Angela Mabry and Donna Tinsley made my day when I arrived. Their bedside manner was exceptional. Dr. Ala Yassin was a diligent, thoughtful, took her time ensuring I understood the issue and treatment plan, and had terrific bedside manner as well. I am so grateful to be a patient here!

I was an emotional wreck before I visited Sage Dental. I am a woman who wears many hats and those hats include me modeling, acting, and being the title holder of MS Full Figured USA GA Photogenic 2021. While wearing those hats smiling is a priority. Due to some previous health issues I ended up loosing half of my front tooth. I went to the store to buy the temporary fill (which I would not recommend you doing first) and I finally decided to visit Dr. Chad at Sage Dental (Druid Hills). He told me he would fix my smile and he did exactly that. My smile is one of my best features and if you know me that's mostly all I do. When my tooth chipped, you would think I was Ms. Celey due to me covering my mouth before my tooth could be seen. Now, hunny "you can't tell me nothing"! I'm truly grateful and proud to not only say I have a black dentist but he, along with his assistants are great at what they do. Visit him on Facebook or check out the website and set your appointment today!!

This dentist office is only as good as the specific dentist. I had experiences with three different people, two of witch did great work! I went in to get a cleaning, a referral for wisdom teeth and finally to get my wisdom teeth removed. The hygienist was professional and courteous. She did great work. The general dentist came in and did X-rays and recommended I do get my wisdom teeth out. By my request he also ran a test on one of my front teeth. The tooth had close to no feeling and the dentist recommended a root canal and crown. I went ahead and scheduled an appointment to get that done. That same day as my cleaning the surgeon went ahead to take my wisdom teeth out. I can't say enough good things about him either! The process was 15 minutes and the pain afterwards was far less than expected. Here's where the problems started.... When I went back for the root canal I was nervous and expressed that to the dentist. He walked me back through the process and I decided I was never going to feel comfortable and went ahead with it. He told me it would take 45 minutes to an hour... it took three. Then I had to come back the next day and it took another 3 hours. During the procedure the dentist and assistant spoke a bit. Come to find out the dentist started at that office two days ago. Same with the assistant. The dentist kept asking for a tool or a compound and the assistant kept correcting him and showing him how to do his job... six hours into it they got the root canal and temporary crown done. When I came back to get the permanent the crown was too big. I told the dentist and he shaved some down. It was still too big and he recommended shaving some of my bottom teeth off instead.. I said no and had to go somewhere else to get it shaved correctly. Bottom line this dentist all comes down to the person doing the work. The office staff, the hygienist and the oral surgeon were top notch. The general dentist was an unskilled amateur who talked me into doing a procedure I wasn't comfortable with and that he wasn't prepared to perform.

DO NOT GO HERE. My first and last visit with this office was horrific. The staff is all incredibly friendly, do not get me wrong. But, I saw the dentist because of a little bit of tooth sensitivity, and he insisted on taking full x-rays and then quickly informed me that I needed a crown and possibly a root canal, referring me to one of Sage's endodontists for a consultation. This was shocking to me since I had minimal pain that was getting better every day. So, I went to my family dentist (an hour away) that same day for a second opinion, and he looked at the same x-rays and inspected my teeth and said that the dentist I saw clearly had no idea what he was doing, that my tooth was totally fine, and that you would never want to do a crown in that part of the mouth because it would break too easily. I'm glad I had a dentist I could trust, or I would've wasted a lot of time, money, and possibly done some serious damage to my perfectly healthy teeth. I was trying to find a dentist closer to my new home, but this is not the place.

A very corporate feel to a dentist office. They try to up charge on everything & new patients require two appointments- very odd. I've never had a dentist add unnecessary costs to x-rays and cleanings, so make sure you ask a lot of questions. I felt like I was money to them, not a patient. Staff is nice, but they seem to have a revolving door of dentists. The one I saw recommended a very unnecessary "treatment plan" which included dental work I did not need. My last straw was them not notifying me of my appointment being canceled due to the hygienist being sick. I understand you have to cancel appointments but I got FOUR confirmation texts for my cleaning and showed up for it to be canceled. The front desk said she left a message but it was never received on my end.

This is the best place I have ever been to for dental work. They are kind, fast, efficient, and they explain everything quite well. Every single member of the staff greeted me and made my kid smile. They were patient, gentle, and more than willing to work with me on creating a treatment plan.

Extremely understaffed for the amount of appointments they are trying to wedge in. Lots of confusion and the hygienist was clearly not told my situation, she was very rough and said some upsetting things to me- so upsetting I actually made an appt at the downtown location so that I didn't have to have her in my mouth. One assistant is so hurried she rarely sits down even when she is working on you (scary!) , but most of the other employees are very kind and take the time to get it right.

I had such a wonderful visit at Sage Dental today. From the registration process that was conveniently done virtually, to the efficient communication (texts/emails) leading up to my appointment, the cleanliness/beautiful condition of the office, my consultation/oral screening, the personable personnel that grace the office, all the way leading to scheduling my next appointment with them. I am overly pleased with my experience, as it was quite a memorable one. I highly recommend anyone in need of oral care to visit this office.

If I could rate them 0, I would. The person who scheduled me for a dental emergency over the phone made it sound like there was a different appointment option besides their Plushcare plan (which is their insurance, but they'll say it isn't). Then upon arrival, I was told I could ONLY be seen if I purchased the Plushcare service, so, fine - I had an emergency and did. I was told that my shattered cavity could be repaired with a root canal and crown, and I was given an antibiotic Rx in the meantime. What should have been my first clue that things were wrong - the unprofessional/ playtime manner of the staff, from talking over guests to walking around tools that had fallen on the floor. Second clue should have been saying that's rough that was shattering (it shattered more a few days later) was fine to save. Also, they didn't schedule my next appt - almost like they knew I wasn't returning and the main goal was to have me sign up for Plushcare. Final straw for me was having a multi-symptom allergic reaction to the prescription, and despite leaving a message for the dentist, I NEVER received a call back, from anyone. (Also, please note that Plushcare is not a one-time charge, but recurring.) These are too many issues around one visit for me to dare let anyone else fall for this. Avoid at all costs!

If I could leave 0 starts I would. Please save yourself some time and do not go there. They had me fill out an insane amount of paperwork asking all the questions they had already asked over the phone. They then proceeded to tell me that I wasn't going to get a cleaning, because they first needed to see what type of cleaning I needed. Had never heard of that before. They wanted me to pay extra for some type of x-rays that my insurance didn't cover- had also never heard about that. The hygienist poked my gums aggressively and proceeded to tell me that I was bleeding a lot and that my roots were exposed and that the manager was going to come over to explain the treatments that I needed. By now, I had been there over an hour and hadn't even seen the dentist. The manager comes and says the treatment cost $3300, but that my insurance will cover some of it so I " only" need to pay $650. This company acts like a sales company and not an actual dentist that cares about their patients. It was a scam. They also tried to sell me an electric toothbrush. All I wanted was a cleaning. I ended up leaving after 1 hour and fifteen minutes without seeing the dentist and without getting anything done, but the x-rays. They don't care at all, they just care about getting paid. Don't go to them. They try to panic the patient into thinking all these things are wrong and treatments are needed urgently.

EDIT: I just read another review from another person from a day ago. How do we both have $650 worth of work and the SAME EXACT EXPERIENCE??? THIS PLACE IS A SCAM. I am honestly very disappointed with my experience at sage dental. I dont normally write reviews but I dont want anyone to experience the same thing I did. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. First of all, I booked an appointment after receiving a flyer about a promotion they had for new patients. I moved from NY and was looking for a new dentist in my location and received the flyer in the mail. I figured I could try it out based on the promotion that they had. Little did know, the promotion was only for new patients that enrolled in their insurance program and not patients that have their own insurance. When I made my appointment with the call center they stated that I was eligible, and that they made a note in my account.I actually called again to make sure that it was noted in my account and they assured me that it was. Both times they failed to mention the terms of the promotion even though I gave them my insurance information. It feels like they purposely hid that information from me to get me to go to the practice. During my appointment I was told that I had $650 worth of work that needed to be done and they showed me my xrays and told me what the issues were. I have gastric issues, so I didnt really question it. When I asked about the promotion, they told me that they dont know about the promotion. I told them that when I booked my appointment, that the call center said it was noted in my account, but it wasnt. They told me that they will note it in my account and will look into it. Something did not feel right since they didnt honor the promotion so I told them that I will book the appointment for the dental work later. After some correspondence, I was informed that it was only for patients that sign up for their insurance. I wasnt comfortable with the dishonesty so I decided to fly back to NY to my old dentist to get the work done so my teeth dont get worse. I sent the same xrays from sage dental to my dentist and he reviewed them with me and told me that I did not need to get ANY work done. My teeth were FINE. I was FLOORED. How did more than $650 worth of dental work disappear in a matter of 2 weeks??? Even the hygienist at the NY practice said that my teeth were fine. I really feel that they tried to pressure me based on my insecurities regarding my gastric issues and its potential effects on my teeth. They are very aggressive with their approach and made me feel pressured to book an appointment and get the work done ASAP. My first dentist was money hungry and ruined my teeth so I am very skeptical of dentists in the first place. I dont want anyone to go through that. This whole experience validated my skepticism and I feel like I dodged a bullet. I'm so grateful that I listened to my gut and went back to my old dentist because I would have paid more than $650 for them to pick at my teeth for NO REASON. They could have easily ruined my teeth and I wouldn't have even known.
