In the past my Experience with the previous Hygienist Alex was great. He always went above and beyond. However today November 2nd I went in to see the new Hygienist Robert and with out even taking a look in my mouth announced that my cleaning would be $190 dollars and In the same breath pushed for me to renew there dental plan because between the cleaning and the renewal it would come out to the same amount. I felt like I was being talked to by a sales person. Sadly between this and there constant Changing of staff. I will no longer be returning.

It's not a dentist office, it's a scam. Just moved to the area, was looking for a new dentist, and Sage was recommended to me. I made an appointment, and when I went before I even saw a dentist I was talked into signing up for their "Sage care" plan for $150 since I don't have dental insurance. Saw the dentist and hygienist after that and was told I had severe gum disease that I needed a deep cleaning and 5 cavities that would need to be filled. I was shocked, I had problems with cavities in the past so I take very good care of my teeth now and haven't noticed any gum bleeding or sensitive teeth lately. They gave me a treatment plan outlining my next three visits and how I would owe them $2000 (even with the care plan I was talked into), and sent me on my way with an appointment the next morning for a deep cleaning. I left the office feeling horrible about my teeth and scared because I couldn't afford the treatment. Later at home I looked into the treatment plan they made me and what they wanted to do. I have a PhD in biology, do I was going deep into dental journals to try and figure out why they thought these procedures were necessary. They wanted to do a scaling and root planing, which is recommended for moderate to severe gum disease to stop the progression of gum loss, which I had no signs of according to my xrays. They wanted to do dental irrigation as part of that, which isn't proven to provide any additional benefits for plaque removal. They also wanted to give me a special medicated mouthwash. After a few hours of research, I gave them a call back and requested they take the dental irrigation and mouthwash off the cleaning for tomorrow to bring the cost down a bit so I could afford it. The deep cleaning itself was barely within my budget, and I was willing to get it since I figured it couldn't hurt to be safe. I was told the irrigation was a required part of the deep cleaning and they couldn't take it off. In that case I requested they just do a normal cleaning since I can't afford the full other treatment. I'm told they can't do that because I'm now in their records as having severe gum disease and if they do a normal cleaning they're liable for any future problems. The hygienist also comes on the phone and tells me I could have gum disease and just not notice the bleeding and that I need to get it treated otherwise my teeth could fall out. I reiterated that I hadn't noticed any signs of gum disease and literally could not afford thr deep cleaning and if they couldn't do a normal cleaning I would have to cancel the appointment. They said oh well, too bad, I cancelled the appointment, and looked for somewhere else to go. In the end, I went to a different dentist last week. My teeth and gums are fine, they were happy to do a normal cleaning, and I have one small cavity where an old filling is breaking down. I even asked the dentist to double check for the other 4 cavities where Sage said they were, he happily did and even used a mirror to show me the spots and how there was nothing wrong. It was a much better experience, they actually listened to my concerns, and it only cost $80. Long story short, don't trust Sage dental, save yourself some money and go somewhere else. They try to upsell everything and are only there to make money, not to care for patients. UPDATE: I've reached out to the Quality Assurance Department as the business requested. I contacted them a week ago, and have heard nothing back. All this has served to do is reaffirm the opinion I stated above that Sage Dental is not concerned with the well being or experience of their patients

The worst dental offices you can go to. They over charge for everything and do not do quality work. Save yourself money and the hassle by going elsewhere. You deserve better!

On October 13, 2022 I had a cleaning Sage Dental texts me at 15 times before my appointment The last time I had a cleaning Alex said that take care of my teeth and my cleaning was normal. He didn't see any issues with my teeth. But on October 13 I had appt with Roberto. When I sat in my chair to get a cleaning he gives me a bill for $158 for a peritonitides cleaning. I told him I just want a regular cleaning. There's nothing wrong with my teeth. Roberto refused to give me a regular cleaning. This place tried to scam me out of money and give me unnecessary cleaning esp when there was no indication in the past in having peritonitis Not once did they ever tell me that I needed I will never go back there again. They are a bunch of scam artist!!! Find another dental organization to go to!!!

My only complaint is they left something out of my treatment plan and I ended up needing to pay an extra sum of money as I was about to get treated. Otherwise everyone was friendly and my procedure went well. I got my wisdom teeth removed with a deep sedation and recovery is going well also. The surgeon and his team did an awesome job.

Disclaimer: I have actually never step foot in a Sage Dental Office. However, my experience with Sage dental to set up a wisdom teeth removal consolation has been very unpleasant. When you call a sage dental location, you get directed to a call center not the actual office. The girl that answered the phone was not very friendly, but helpful and provide an email for my referral. After I gave way too much information over the phone for a consultation, the lady told me that the next appointment was a month away. Never have I had to wait a month for an appointment, let alone a consultation. Lastly, they were going to charge me a $20 COVID cleaning fee which is ridiculous in this inflated economy. After speaking with a colleague, they said they normally over charge. Would not recommend this place, found a better place in Aventura with a much more pleasant experience.

This was my first time visiting Sage Dental of Hollywood. My appointment was at 8:00 a.m. surprisingly on time. The team was friendly and explained every step of the process from intake to scheduling my next visit. I am certainly please with my visit and recommend them to anyone seeking a dental office.

The staff at Sage Dental are very courteous and efficient. The office has state of the art equipment and the office space is clean. I've been a patient for about a year and a half and Dr. Malik and Paulette are fantastic.

I LOVE THIS OFFICE!!!! First, I got there and didn't have to wait. They honored my appointment time. The team is helpful, knowledgeable, and caring! I went in for a check up and for some pain I was feeling for a wisdom tooth growing in. Dr. Shinder was the best! He's caring, honest, funny, and you can tell he enjoys what he does. He extracted my tooth in office in record timing. I was so scared and he literally did it 1,2,3 and I had immediate relief after! I was skeptical going in because you can't find good healthcare nowadays, but I'm so glad I did! I found my new family dentist! Woo hoo! You won't go wrong making an appointment here! I would give more stars if I could!

Crooks! I was given a balance over $500 and went to another dental place that knows how to code ethically and didn't have to pay a dime with double insurance coverage and they were rude!!!

If I could put -ZERO I WOULD! This facility created an invoice trying to charge my spouse a ridiculous amount of money for a deep cleaning to the carrier and a $360 out of his pocket. Debbie and Leila were not helpful, they were mean, unprofessional and got mad after discussing the charges... i have them on a recorded line. My husband even got a cancer screening tests that he didn't ask for! Now he only has a portion of his mouth that received treatment since due to the inconsistencies on the charges to my insurance we had to find an honest facility ASAP. PLEASE PEOPLE DONT WASTE TIME AND ENERGY IN THIS FACILITY. THE RECEPTIONISTS THINK THEY'RE IN THEIR NATIVE COUNTRY, THOSE 2 HAVE NO RESPECT FOR OTHERS AND OUR RIGHT TO KNOW HOW THEY ARE OVERCHARGING US BY CREATING CODES AND ABUSING THOSE THAT DONT UNDERSTAND HOW THESE PLANS WORK. PEOPLE ALWAYS ASK FOR YOUR EXPLANATION OF BENEFITS.
