My experience with Dr. Andrea was amazing. She was very kind and understanding. She took the time to review my X-rays and recommend the next step for my wisdom teeth removal. The front office was extremely attentive and provided great payment options. Would definitely recommend!

I had a FANTASTIC experience today at Sage Dental with my dental hygenist there( Jesus Carta). He is so AMAZING!! He is by far the BEST dental hygenist I have ever had!! I am terrified of the dentist but he is so gentle and is so pleasant throughout the whole scary experience that I keep coming back to get my deep cleanings regularly!! The staff is so friendly and welcoming and I am scheduled for 3 molar extractions next week but Im not as scared because I know Im in good hands with them!!

If you're looking for first class dental Care, sage dental is your place. When I moved to Coral Gables I decided to stop by because it was close. It was so easy to get an appointment. Immediately after that I got my treatment plan and have been working with them since then. The main reason to deal with sage in my opinion is that they're extremely competent and very good at what they do but they're nice and empathetic. If you have any fears or anxieties about dentistry they won't unquestionably make you feel comfortable. I was a little put off at the first visit, just because it seemed a little bit rushed. I think I got dental X-rays spoke to someone and then had a treatment plan 20 minutes later. Admittedly it felt rushed. It wasn't until my second visit that I understood. In that short little period of time they did several pretty advanced diagnostics and had a complete picture of what I needed for optimum dental health. It was quick just because they're very good at it. At the second visit every single step of every process was explained in depth, and explained up front to help you avoid any anxiety and at every single step along the way they were checking to make sure you're comfortable understand what's going on and that you're not experiencing any pain. Additionally in your subsequent visits it's like getting a quick crash course dentistry. They explain the concepts, they show you on your x-rays or diagnostics how it applies to you, and they explain the treatments. I've worked with Jesus for two treatments and he's awesome beyond words. The whole staff is really. You'll get everything that you need done correctly quickly and comfortably then treated like you're a family member so I really can't say enough good things about sage dental and Coral Gables

It's a nice and clean dental office but besides that it's true what other reviews say they DO NOT try to see what your best option is, if not what's best for their pockets. Before agreeing to anything they I suggest get a second opinion. Never has any dentist recommended me to remove instead of TRYING to save the tooth. They are all about the money. Should be checked with the insurance carriers and make sure they aren't doing fraudulent things just to get more money out of the patient or the insurance..

If I could give ZERO stars I would. Do not go to Sage Dental! I went in for a dental exam, was told I needed deep cleaning and they charged me over 400$ for some solution they claimed I needed separate from the cleaning fee. They never provided the solution it is now months later. I went in again paid over 600$ for a crown, they put a temp one in. Never called me telling me the perm one is in. In between I had an emergency, I called them over and over that day, left multiple messages. No answer and they never even called me back for an emergency! The tooth next to the one they put the temp crown on had cracked and I was in pain. Eventually by 2pm I called another dentist who got me in immediately. I am finishing my work with their office. Now 2 more months have passed and countless phone calls, messages, managers and promises to refund my 1000$ Because I never got the crown or useless expensive solution, they still have not refunded my money. I'll add they NEVER return calls when they say they will. They are the worst. The temporary crown they put in wasn't even put in properly according to the other dentist (and X-ray which I saw with my own eyes) there was a gap/space which can lead to food getting trapped and bacteria. Also it too fell out in another dental emergency for me. I have never felt so strongly about a medical service provider as I do about Sage Coral Gables. I have never reviewed one in my life. But feel compelled as I have received service THAT bad. I am still waiting on my full refund as promised! Go anywhere but here.

My teeth have never been better. The people that work at this office full time are good and professional. Very happy that Jesus works here. This place wouldn't be the same without him. He is very Valuable to this Company. Wish the employee turnover ratio was lower. Highly recommend the cleaning Jesus does. Very clean, new and upscale location.

If you just need a cleaning, Jesus (the hygenist) is excellent. Otherwise, just don't go. They have changed dentists three times in the past 5 years and the most recent one clearly does not know what she is doing... She missed some glaring issues that were picked up by an orthodontist who then referred me to a competent dentist who was able to explain and plan exactly and only what was needed. The current dentist at Sage has never actually been able to help with issues I or my daughter complained about (tooth pain, jaw pain, tmj issues). She would refer to a specialist like orthodontics or oral med when the issue was really something she could have fixed (not that I would want her to at this point) if she was competent enough to identify the actual issue. She also recommended things that weren't necessary, as well as giving my daughter a bad filling that was too big and cracked. When my daughter complained about the pain she referred her to an orthodontist thinking it was her wisdom teeth when in fact it's the filling she placed that has cracked because it was too big, and now the tooth has become further infected, and will require a root canal and crown as a result. They buff up treatment plans with unnecessary things to make money and clearly there are some issues with the office given high turnover of staff. Just dont go.

Stay away from this Dentist! I was very happy with this place specially with the Hygienist! But unfortunately, I had a crown procedure done and on the very same day the tooth next to that one broke and I was in a lot of pain. The dentist told me that I needed another crown on this one as well and to make another appt. I pleaded with her to at least put something or do something because the pain was very uncomfortable. The Dentist told me sorry I have too many patients today just go to the front and make another appt for another day. It was early enough for her to have been able to help me. What kind of a Dentist keeps a patient in pain!!! Isn't that one of the top reasons what most people go to the Dentist for?

Definitely the worst experience I've ever had in a dental office. I would not recommend anyone to come here! I booked an early appointment first available 8am I arrive 10 mins early. The dental assistant does my X-ray the dentist sees me and says my teeth are great no issues, then I had to wait for my cleaning appointment which was all I wanted to begin with. As I'm waiting, the dental assistant approaches me with a "bill" of over 2,000 dollars saying part was covered insurance and the other I would have to pay. Normally my insurance covers all of it, she states that they are using a special tooth paste that is extra.- I did not want that. She said I still had to sign the bill in order to get my cleaning done........ I then realize I had been at the office for hours. It was about to be 10am I had my appointment at 8am I was patient until she said they had overbooked appointments and only had one dental assistant working at the time and currently cleaning another patient. It was a completely outrageous experience, don't waste your time and find a better office that will not try to upcharge their patients.

I went to Sage because of the positive reviews I read on here and I want to give my honest opinion to hopefully save others the time and money. My first visit took ~2 hours just to do x-rays and an exam (no cleaning included). They gave me a "treatment plan" that was well over $1000. According to Sage I had periodontal disease so I needed a deep cleaning (not covered by insurance of course). Funny because I was at another dentist ~5 months before this and they were happy to do a regular cleaning. I've had generally healthy teeth my entire life and a deep cleaning has never been recommended to me. I went to another dentist in Miami and they were also happy to do a regular cleaning. This place seems sketchy to me and I think all they care about is money. Please go to a smaller/family practice where they actually care about their clients.

The only two positives are location and Jesus (dental hygienist). Avoid at all cost, visit a private practice that isn't motivated by money. In the 2.5 years we've lived in Coral Gables, they changed dentists 3 times. After getting 5 fillings replaced here I ended up needing a root canal and had to find a dentist to redo my fillings. I could go on and on, but I'll paraphrase by saying save yourself the time, money, and headache, and don't go here.

I had a great experience (as great as going to the dentist can be ) with the whole staff. The manager (Carla), the hygienist (Jesus), and the doctor (Dr. DeFazio) were kind, friendly, and helpful. They validate for parking below.

Carla, Heidi, and Dr. DeFazio made my experience go very well. I haven't seen a dentist in 5 years so I had no idea what I was walking into but they were so helpful and transparent. Lots of transparency in the expenses and your insurance company's contribution also. My visit was an in and out job. I would highly recommend as the staff there is very sweet and very professional.

There's a reason why this office is empty...bad business practices and poor customer service. They'll diagnose you with the most expensive diagnosis they can and then cancel your appointment because the hygienist wants to go home early. First red flag with this company is that as a new patient you cannot schedule a cleaning. In a normal dental practice your first visit is x-rays, exam, and then a cleaning (I would know- I've moved a lot). At sage you can only schedule x-rays and an exam and then they give your their "treatment plan" before you can schedule a cleaning. Surprise surprise, once they have you in the office they give you a $1000 treatment plan. I've taken great care of my teeth and have even had dentists tell me that I have very healthy teeth. Sage? Oh no, apparently I have periodontal disease that requires a $1000 treatment plan. That was my first red flag that this is practice just after money and I had intended to find another dentist; however, I really didn't want to go much longer without at least a cleaning so I scheduled one with the intention of at least getting a cleaning and then taking my business somewhere else. Well, here comes red flag #2. The day before my appointment comes I get a confirmation call for my appointment. Well, beleive it or not, I was busy and didn't call them back. So yes, my fault I didn't call them back but tbh I have never, ever had an appointment canceled because I didn't confirm my appointment. Not a dentist, doctor, hair stylist not ever. So anyways, I show up to my scheduled appointment only to have a rude receptionist tell me that because I didn't confirm my appointment they canceled it because "it was a slow day and we needed to see if the hygienist could go home." When I responded with surprise, they reminded me about their 24 hour confirmation policy which is there "in case another client wants the appointment". What other client? There was no one in the office and they admitted to sending the hygienist home because it was so slow. If you've made it this far its probably because you're an admin at Sage Dental and by the looks of how empty your practice is you need to change some business practices.
