Dr. Nieku Manshadi is a pediatric dentist who views treating children as a privilege and an opportunity to make dental visits fun and enjoyable for patients and their families. He believes in building trust from the first visit to ensure a comfortable experience for his patients. Dr. Manshadi graduated with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry and completed a two-year pediatric dental residency at Boston University. He is board-certified by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and licensed to provide safe treatment to patients with special needs and oral conscious sedation for those with anxiety.
A firm believer in expanding access to care to those in need, his travels have taken him as far as Ecuador and the Philippines to provide treatment to areas with limited health care. He is also an avid traveler who loves to explore the food and culture of various countries. In his spare time, Dr. Manshadi enjoys alpine skiing and spending time with close friends and family.

My 6 year old daughter broke her tooth completely below the gum line about a month ago. I took her into a Bryan Pediatric Dentistry the same day and the dentist there looked at her tooth and said it needed to be extracted. The soonest she could get my daughter in was November 30th!!! Seemed like a really long time to make a child wait to have a tooth removed so I made an appointment with our regular dentist and after he looked at it he felt like it needed a crown. So I wanted to get one more opinion. After calling several other dentists in the area some who didnt do extractions, I found Safari Dental. I called on a Thursday I believe and they got me in early the next week. They gave her xrays the dentist examined her tooth and he said he felt like it needed to be extracted and he also mentioned placing a spacer in to prevent her baby teeth from growing crooked (something the pediatric dentist never mentioned on doing) They ordered her spacer and made an appointment for 3 weeks out. I do feel like the 3 weeks to get her in was a little long but it was better then having to wait till November 30th like the other place. I brought my daughter in and the dentist was simply amazing. He took the time to make sure my daughter was comfortable, constantly talking to her and with her and his assistant rubbed her hand while the were extracting the tooth. I have NEVER felt more comfortable at a dentist office then I did that day. I will say, my ONLY complaint.......I loved that dentist so much I wanted to switch my kids to him for all future visits and teeth cleaning but unfortunately they dont make appointments for 4 kids at a time, even booking months in advance. Since I live about 45 minutes away I cant justify bringing 2 kids in for a teeth cleaning one day and 2 kids in the next day. TO much driving. I would still highly recommend this dentist to anyone!

When initially posting this review, my keyboard did not properly function. Here is my experience: When calling to schedule an extraction for my son, after using this facility for years, we were given so much grief it was nearly unbelievable. We were told to go to Houston because we don't subscribe to all of their treatment paths concerning chemical tooth sealers and root canals due to our childrens' allergies and chemical sensitivities. This is probably for the best because the last time we went for a routine cleaning and check-up, the dentist used a toothbrush for less than a minute and charged for a cleaning. After discussing the improper cleaning with the manager she stated that the hygienist said a cleaning was not necessary and would hurt their gums. We did not accept this answer and asked why the charge appears on the receipt if its unnecessary? She then left the front to go to the back and check the facts, (should have done that first) we left due to the lengthy wait. She at least had the decency to call us and invite us back for a proper cleaning admitting their error. Since we were asked to go elsewhere, we set an appointment for another pediatric dentist in College Station and attempted to transfer the records for three patients. After going to the office to fill out the paperwork, (of course we can't use a more convenient electronic means) the young lady gave me the documents to fill out. After returning the completed forms she took them to her manager to confirm they were properly filled out. And of course they never sent the records to the new clinic as we requested even though we did everything according to their 'policy'. If you go here, watch them every step of the way and check the documents they will submit to your insurance. There will likely be some discrepancies.

We had a wonderful experience here today! I brought in my 3 year old son, who has autism, for a check up. It can be hard to get him to sit still or follow directions and the dentist was extremely patient. He even listened to me about what works best for him! Our precious dentist kind of rushed through and was a bit forceful. I was in tears with happiness that we have found somebody so patient and kind. I only took off a star because the hygienist was snippy and not friendly at all. You would think she would be friendlier since she works with kids.

Everyone was very nice. We were able to get both appointments done within an hour of arriving. They were very gentle with my kids and coached them through the cleaning and exam process. I'm very pleased with todays visit.

Dr. V and his staff are awesome! The billing is somewhat questionable...I.e., I have to pay a certain amount out of pocket for a treatment service, however, in order to *SCHEDULE* the appointment, I have to pay half of the treatment fee. -Not pay half upon arrival *FOR* the appointment, but pay half in order to even make the appointment... I am still in shock. Maybe it's a "Texas thing"
