Certain injuries may cause teeth to be pushed back into their sockets, and the tooth may need to be repositioned and stabilized. Root canal treatment is usually started within a few weeks of the incident.

A tooth may be partially pushed out of its socket, in which case it will need to be repositioned and stabilized. If the pulp is healthy, no other treatment is necessary. If the pulp becomes damaged or infected, a root canal is necessary.

If a tooth has been completely knocked out of your mouth, immediate treatment is necessary! It is important to keep the tooth moist in either milk or a glass of water with salt. A moist tooth can be saved. If possible, put it back into its socket. The length of time your tooth has been out of your mouth and the way it has been stored will determine the kind of treatment process you receive.

This procedure encourages the root to continue to develop as the pulp is healed, and the soft tissue is treated with medication to encourage growth. The tip of the root will continue to close as the child grows older, causing the walls of the root canal to thicken. If the pulp heals, no additional treatment is necessary. A more mature root increases the chance of saving the tooth.

Any unhealthy pulp is removed from the tooth. The doctors will place medication into the root to help hard tissue to form near the root tip which will create a barrier for the root canal filling. The root canal walls will not continue to develop, which could make it susceptible to fractures. The tooth should be properly restored by the dentist.

I was referred by my dentist. I called and got a next day appointment lets start there. Upon arriving I was impressed by the cleanliness and friendliness of the office and staff. There was plenty of parking as well. The receptionist was really welcoming and so was the person who took my x rays. I was scared not gonna lie but Dr Ghasssmemi (I'm positive I spelled that wrong) he was absolutely amazing. Along with his assistant. I told him I was nervous and after that everything went uphill. He extracted a upper tooth in back for me. Numbed me and I didn't feel a thing. He walked me thru everything he was doing . The funny thing is he kept saying that I was gonna feel some pulling , i never felt any pulling. The tooth came out without pain . Fast forward to 3 hours later(now) I'm not in pain, the numbing has worn off and I feel great. No swelling so far and no pain (yet) the staff was very welcoming and made me feel so comfortable and at ease. If u could I would go hear for all of my dental needs. Thank you so much.

The staff is friendly, but beware, they will give you a cheap quote and bill your insurance the maximum amount. Turns out the office staff didn't read the clause for one of my insurances and gave me a really low estimate. Now, there is an additional $340 charge...for being double covered. Ridiculous. I'm surprised others are saying they were detailed with their prices. I am beyond shocked with the lack of attention to insurance coverages/benefits. Surgeon was fine, staff was lacking. Please go to an office where the office can correctly quote you. Well, I guess it is my fault for trusting these full-time employees where their job is literally to communicate with insurance companies. Do your research, and take the time to understand your benefits. Don't trust this office to do the work for you, because they will butcher it. Otherwise, if money is not an issue and you have no other financial commitments, this is the place for you.

I was impressed with Sacramento Valley Dental Specialist from beginning to end. I needed a tooth extraction due to a broken nerve root.. Shareen of the Front Office was extremely kind and understanding on the phone. She got insurance approval and got me an appointment the next morning. Dental Assistant Tyniece was thorough in taking my history and gentle yet professional while doing my x-rays. Brandy, the Surgical Dental Assistant was kind during the procedure and thorough in her instructions. Dr. Ghassimi was wonderfully kind and thorough in his explanation of the procedure and risks involved. He extracted my tooth smoothly and painlessly. Each person at this office treated me with dignity, kindness and professionalism. I couldn't be more satisfied.

Let me start by saying I hate going to the dentist! I've had many experiences with pain, which led to fear, which led to me neglecting a cracked tooth. Cue Sac Valley Dental Specialists. The entire office experience was amazing. The staff are professional and everyone made me feel at ease! Dr. Sealey is nice and also made me feel confident in his abilities. Day of my procedure...no pain! No pain and no fear. I only wish these folks did regular dentistry!
