Certain injuries may cause teeth to be pushed back into their sockets, and the tooth may need to be repositioned and stabilized. Root canal treatment is usually started within a few weeks of the incident.

A tooth may be partially pushed out of its socket, in which case it will need to be repositioned and stabilized. If the pulp is healthy, no other treatment is necessary. If the pulp becomes damaged or infected, a root canal is necessary.

If a tooth has been completely knocked out of your mouth, immediate treatment is necessary! It is important to keep the tooth moist in either milk or a glass of water with salt. A moist tooth can be saved. If possible, put it back into its socket. The length of time your tooth has been out of your mouth and the way it has been stored will determine the kind of treatment process you receive.

This procedure encourages the root to continue to develop as the pulp is healed, and the soft tissue is treated with medication to encourage growth. The tip of the root will continue to close as the child grows older, causing the walls of the root canal to thicken. If the pulp heals, no additional treatment is necessary. A more mature root increases the chance of saving the tooth.

Any unhealthy pulp is removed from the tooth. The doctors will place medication into the root to help hard tissue to form near the root tip which will create a barrier for the root canal filling. The root canal walls will not continue to develop, which could make it susceptible to fractures. The tooth should be properly restored by the dentist.

Dr. Fries and his team was amazing. From the check in process, accounting, prepping procedures, providing detail info for after procedure care to making both my daughter and I feel at ease. It was truly an wonderful experience and we highly recommend. Thank you again for putting this overwhelmingly concerned mom at ease. My daughter was in great hands. We even had both our nurse and doctor follow up post procedure. What a pleasant experience.

Took my 15 year old son. Great service, text book extractions. Everything went as planned! Sent home with a care package, gauze, tea bags and all post-op instructions. I do wish the doctor popped out to tell me how surgery went. Thought that was weird. Office followed up mid-day with a phone call home to answer any questions I might have. All in all, great service, will be back and would not have any problems referring friends and family to them.

The staff is friendly, but beware, they will give you a cheap quote and bill your insurance the maximum amount. Turns out the office staff didn't read the clause one for of my insurances and gave me a really low estimate. Now, there is an additional $340 charge...for being double covered. Ridiculous. I'm surprised others are saying they were detailed with their prices. I am beyond shocked with the lack of attention to insurance coverages/benefits. Surgeon was fine, staff was lacking. Please go to an office where the office can correctly quote you. Well, I guess it is my fault for trusting these full-time employees where their job is literally to communicate with insurance companies. Do your research, and take the time to understand your benefits. Don't trust this office to do the work for you, because they will butcher it.

What I am appreciative most about as a patient is communication from whatever type of healthcare or dental facility as well as providers who listen and puts the patient's best interest at heart. If not that we had to get an extraction done asap, i would not have came back here after the unfortunate situation my husband encountered which seemed like the doctor was not listening to the patient. It's not okay for a patient to feel like the doctor had a golf tournament they were going to and wanted to wrap up the appointment so quickly. A patient should be able to trust the provider and feel a sense of security in the care being received. I had scheduled my husband for an appointment but due to the fact that I was out of town, i couldn't go with him. Prior to the appointment, i requested for the patient intake form to be sent to me so i could fill it out but it wasn't sent. At the appointment, the doctor declined to proceed with the procedure because my husband was taking blood thinner, meanwhile, he hadn't taken them in 3 years which my husband tried explaining to the doctor but there seemed to be a disconnect, no explanation given cos he immediately requested a medical release form, seemed like he heard blood thinners and the red light signaled "nope, not today." Had to get clarification when i came back from my trip, tho the appointment was rescheduled, even at the appointment, no doctor communication with the person accompanying the patient. Procedure was changed at the time of the appointment and the update i was given about that was from the front desk assistant reviewing the prices with me, which i think it's not a good tactic from the doctor. Giving one star because of the effort made by the office to conduct a post op call 4 hours after surgery. Would i be returning for more care, NO!

I had a great experience at Sacramento Valley Dental Specialists less than a month ago, and I am beyond pleased. Two dentists diagnosed the problem as most likely one tooth, but Dr. Sealey, the Sacramento Valley endodontist conducted several cold and pressure tests, and diagnosed the issue as the tooth next to the suspected tooth. State-of-the-art technology, a gentle hand, and obvious concern for my comfort throughout the root canal re-treatment, put me completely at ease in the chair. His use of microscopic viewing and drilling preserved the crown, allowing for a small permanent filling rather than an expensive, new crown. Dr. Sealey's post-treatment advice made the recovery period shorter, and my problem is completely GONE! Thank you, Dr. Sealey!

They were able to take me on short notice for a tooth extraction, and everyone was super nice and reassuring as I was pretty panicked. The actual extraction took maybe five minutes, was painless and I left with my gold crown, the remnants of the tooth, and enough printed post op care info to answer all my questions!
